Location. First of all the location is very good. Located very close to a lake it allows very nice walks around the lake. The Room The room was very nice and quite spacious. It was quite large and has been recently refurbished including the matrasses. We booked a room beginning March and therefore, the Hotel was not very busy which is a plus. However, our room was located on the city/street side, and the street was quite busy. The room was not air-conditioned so we had to keep the window opened overnight but as I said, being on the street side you cannot expect to have a good night of sleep unless noise does not disturb you. You can book a superior room which has a garden/lake view but it is much smaller. May be is the price to pay if you want to have a good night of sleep. If I have to book again, I would go for the garden view room. The sockets are very special. You can use standard continental European plugs BUT they should not be round. They should be flat! Otherwise they would not fir to the wall sockets! But there are plenty of sockets everywhere. The telly is huge although we did not have any use of it. However what is much more important is the Wi-Fi (see below) Everything was provided towels shower gel etc.. I know, all this is quite obvious but I've been in hotels where it wasn't nearly as obvious. A kettle is also available in the room with tea and some coffee. A part the missing air-condition the room was very nice. Breakfast One word here: Excellent! You can get continental or British breakfast, only the kidney beans were missing otherwise you have everything you can think of. When you book the room don’t forget to also include the breakfast. It is worth any penny of it. The internet The internet service is very good. You can get internet in your room and my measurements showed a download speed of 107 Mbps and upload of 39.9 Mbps.

Nice, well lit room with good space in the area. Good and comfortable bed. All the usual amenities you expect (safe, shelves, coat hangers, lounge chair and small table). The room also includes a small water kettle with some coffee and tea options. Great, nice and warm shower with good water pressure. VERY delicious breakfast with an usual wide variety of food options.

The bathroom was extremely small and tight and in general poorly designed and maintained. The shower does not have a curtain which caused the bathroom floor to be extremely wet after each shower. The toilet seat was also unattached on one side which should be an easy fix for general maintenance though.

The new interior design is great. Beds are comfy. Great view from the rooms on the backside of the building.

Breakfast area is always overcrowded. Had to wait and search a seat. Missing plates and knifes. The scrambled egg was green somehow. For a coffee you had to wait in line for 10minutes in front of the one and only coffee machine. The bathroom is new but no shower door nor curtain. So the whole bathroom gets flooded every morning and it has no drain. Just drop all the towels available on the floor. Rooms have no AC, just a small fan. It is very hot during summer months inside.

Excellent location very close to the train station and the lake. Breakfast was good with plenty of options sweet and savoury and milk alternatives. The room was comfortable although not very big. Friendly staff.

The window curtain was broken. Not a lot of space in the room. A desk would be nice too. The shower/toilet area was very small and there was no shower curtain so a lot of water ended up on the floor.

The location, a short walk from the train station was ideal. Check in with a pleasant member of staff was quick and easy. The breakfast had a wide range of items, although another coffee machine would help. The portable fan provided was a great help.

The curtains in the room were unusable, one of the main curtains was missing, and the net curtains only just managed to meet in the middle, this didn't help with trying to block out the sun when it was playing straight through the window in the afternoon / evening.

We booked a three beds room and it was comfortable. The breakfast was basic but there was a bit of everything in order to satisfy continental and British beakfast. The location is in the middle of the town which is good and bad at the same time. Good because you can walk around but bad because we had to sleep with an open window and it is quite busy because our room was directly above the main street which was preety noisy.

There is no aircondition in the rooms so you have to have the windows open and the street is very noisy as a lot of cars and lorries are passing by even in the middle of the might. You need ear plugs or to be moderately deaf if you want to sleep well.

Great hotel, just outside the city centre. Next to a lovely lake and one of the best Japanese restaurants. Breakfast was good value and the staff were extremely helpful. We stayed in a trio room with 2 small children, a cot and a dog. And it had plenty of space for us all as well as a push chair. Will stay again!

Easy to reach location from the main station. Very friendly staff. The room was well set up (albeit a bit dated - curtains could use an upgrade). Small but well-designed, modern, and super clean bathroom! Excellent Wifi and good breakfast. Everything you need for a short and pleasant stay!

Cleaning group began work rather early on a Sunday morning, with the hallway suddenly becoming very noisy. It is what it is; we all like our rooms clean but it felt a bit off, like almost on purpose making loud noises.

Breakfast was great, the hotel is positioned well and parking is free.

Late check-in. Even though we didn't read the message before arrival, the hotel is closed after 10pm. We didn't get an entry code, despite the staff seeing we didn't arrive on time and even though they prepared the cards and everything for us. If it weren't for a random good Samaritan entering the hotel, we would have slept on the street. This has to be changed because the stay otherwise was perfect.

The breakfast was very good, one of the best in Biel. The staff accommodated a late check-in. The room was very spacious.

There is no air conditioning in the room, and the small fan has a very short cable, so I could not place it in front of the open balcony door, or a tiny bit away from the bed. The room heated up quite considerably during the day (summer), even though I had the shades down. Check-out took a bit long, as there was no staff available.
