Upon arriving a bit early, the front desk staff was very accommodating as our room was ready. She was lively as she told us in English of things to do locally and even giving us a map of Chur as well as a discount card for the gondola (really fun!) and free access to museums. We chose 2 twin bed room with attached bathroom and it was clean and huge. Shower pressure is strong. Nice pillows! Fun toilet seat. No AC, but fan available and windows open. Safe to store valuables. Mountain View. Breakfast was good.

WiFi in the evening was spotty.

Location - central for exploring the old town and close to station for travelling the Bernina route. Friendly staff, excellent shower, comfy bed, range of TV channels in several languages. The fridge was a real bonus as we could buy lunch the night before for catching an early train.

Some tired fittings - bit of carpet trim kept coming off, hairdryer looked ancient and a bit melted. Breakfast was fine for family but not me as I can’t eat wheat. Limited choice other than croissants and ham/cheese/bread. Apples were going mouldy in the bowl.

Location was super, in the middle of the town. 7-8 minutes walking from the railway station. The continental breakfast was good. The hotel must be the cleanest we've ever stayed in. Unfortunately I didn't see that the room had a shared bathroom in the hallway, but that was also extremely clean so no big deal. But the best was the girl in the reception. Extremely nice and helpful. We were delayed and arrived at 10pm and the reception closed at 9, but she was still around and could help us in. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is an excellent hotel located in the middle of town. We arrived in Chur by train and it's only a short walk from the staton to the hotel. The hotel entrance is round the back of the building opposite a bar (you can't miss it in the end as it has the hotel name in three foot high letters along the wall). Check in and breakfast area is on the first floor, which can confuse some people but there is plenty of signage. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and helps make the stay relaxing. The hotel itself is clean and pleasant and we found it as a great piece of calm after a long train journey. The location means that it good to have a stroll around town. The rooms are a good size and very clean. Power adapters for UK and European plugs is a good touch. There were no tea & coffee facilities in our room, we didn't find a problem but others might. Breakfast in the morning is continental type and was good for us, plenty of coffee & juice. Overall the Central Post is a great place to stay in the summer for a stop if you're doing a tour round Europe.

No downsides.

The hotel was convenient in the center of Old City Chur. We arrived a little later in the day so many of the restaurants and shops were closed after 7pm. The hotel was nice and very clean. Neutral without a lot of bells and whistles but very clean. There was no air conditioning, and we were there during a heat spell in June, so the room was warm. We were able to use the fan provided and open windows thankfully. The view was magnificent overlooking the mountain range. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was available. It is walking distance to all of town and to the ski lift area for viewing. Short walk from the train station. We had a great stay.

Nothing here to comment as a dislike

This property had a perfect location for exploring Chur. It is walkable from the train station and old town of Chur. Breakfast was good but more variety would have been nice. The room was basic but comfortable, but the view was nothing exciting. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided free passes to some of the museums in Chur.

The properties entrance is located in the rear of the property and there is no real lobby available. The front desk is located in the breakfast area and is not open 24 hours so there is no real place to gather at the property outside of your room.

The hotel has a very convenient location in the old part of the city. Friendly staff, clean room with a comfortable bed, and quality linen. A fairly standard set of snacks for breakfast, but everything is fresh and high quality. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby in the historic town center. Overall, the hotel is a great option for exploring the city and taking a break while traveling around the country.

The lack of a parking lot near the hotel is somewhat inconvenient, but the hotel offers free parking in the underground parking lot of a nearby shopping center.

Breakfast - very nice standard continental fare - bread cheese juice and cold cuts. The location is the hotel's high point - situated in the heart of the old town area - very beautiful and quaint. And it's a very short walk - straight down from the station. This is the third time we have stayed there, and every time we left with pleasant memories of our interactions with staff. They are simply so helpful and courteous - every one of them. The rooms are always clean and well fitted with all amenities. We love this hotel.

It's slightly pricey, but for the location and the staff and services, it's well worth it. We have stayed here three times already and may repeat it in future if we happen to be in Chur again, so I am not really complaining about the price.

This is a very well-located hotel in the old town just 10 minutes easy walk from Chur station. The hotel has floors of rooms located above retail accommodation at street level and is accessed from the rear. The room was well appointed and included a kitchen area. The breakfast (included in the price) had an excellent range of food and drink. The friendly staff spoke excellent English. In keeping with it's name, the hotel decor includes many charming pictures of past Swiss postage stamps. The management had thoughtfully included a UK electrical outlet in the room as Swiss outlets differ from regular EU ones.

Nothing to dislike.

Shoutout to Gabrielle, (the reception lady) who was very welcoming and hilarious!! She made us feel right at home. The shared bathroom was very clean. We loved the window we had from our apartment - the view was spectacular. We were able to store our luggage for free which was very helpful. The property gave us a “visitor card” which meant we had free access to the local swimming pool, free access to 3 museums and free public transport in zone 1. The 12pm checkout was also great.

There wasn’t much to do in Chur, but that’s not the property’s fault haha!
