Hotel is convenient to historic area of city and a short walk from train. Breakfast was as expected and setting pleasant. Room had a nice view and was clean. Beds comfortable. Room included a small table and there were enough outlets for guests to use, particularly at each bed.

Staff pleasant but not particularly welcoming or helpful. Hotel had several signs and posts warning guests of possible infractions, particularly for breakfast. I.e., don’t take any food out of breakfast area; anything not eaten will be an extra charge. We asked for a hot pot for room since there was no coffee machine in room. Request was granted but we were not allowed to have china coffee cups —- instead we were given 2 paper cups to last us 4 days!

I really liked the hotel. The room was quite clean. The staff were polite. There were plenty of power outlets in the room, which is essential when traveling. The hotel was very quiet. The location is perfect. Everything was very convenient.​ The breakfasts were the best among all the places we stayed at in Switzerland: Swiss cheeses, various cold cuts, champagne, hot sausages, and scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious!

The only downside was that the beds were separate, although at least they were placed next to each other

Location was great,only a 4mn. walk from the station, but off the central pedestrian street so very quiet. Beds were comfortable and everything was extremely clean. I had a single room on the top floor so without air conditioning it was a bit warm even with the fan. The insect screen in the bathroom seemed to be mounted on the wrong side of the skylight window (or maybe they should leave instructions). Breakfast was wonderful there were normal Swiss breakfast choices-(cheese, meat, yogurt , cereal and bread) as well as hot breakfast more in line with American and British tastes. The homemade jam was excellent. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. If you stay for more than one day it’s worth it to ask for the guest discounts coupons-also included in the price. I was only spending the night to catch the Glacier Express in the morning so I didn’t use the coupons.

I didn’t think the room would be so warm. I am sure I will be back and will ask for a room on a lower floor if it’s in the summer.

Our stay was A+ perfect! This hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and in the heart of Chur’s old city. The hotel was perfectly quiet and comfortable. Just about all of city’s sights are a few minutes’ walk. The neighborhood was super-quiet, safe, and secure. The room was the perfect size for us, well-designed, decorated, furnished, and absolutely immaculate! The breakfast (included) was fantastic and included muesli, fresh breads, and fruit, as well as hot dishes. As frequent travelers, we always appreciate attention to details, and this hotel clearly knows travelers’ needs. Thank you!!!

Receptionist was helpful, knowing more about the City's cable car non-availability than the Tourist Information guide knew, which saved us a frustrating hour. Everything worked, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The shower was excellent. Could have done with a fridge in the room

Chur centre is almost dead at night. 7 out of 10 restaurants are shut at night, nine out of ten on a Sunday night. May be more lively near the station. Note the Brambruesch cable car stops running on 16 March for the season and not sure when it opens for the summer. If stuck for a day in Chur take the bus to Lenzerheide and try the cable cars on either side.

Large single room & large single bed. I was on the 3rd floor accessible via lift with a beautiful mountain view. There are 3 small stairs to get to the lift. The shower was large and excellent! Breakfast had very plentiful hot and cold selections and lovely room. Front desk couldn’t have been more helpful with directions and booking a taxi. I took a taxi to & from the hotel due to pouring rain for 15CHF each way. I appreciated the window that I could open. I wore earplugs overall it was very quiet. I was very happy, felt safe with the hotel and would recommend. Thank you.

A lovely hotel in the centre of the old town. A comfortable night’s sleep and a great breakfast.

I only wish they had verbally told us about the city card and the discounts it offered. Whilst there were signs about it, I failed to notice them. It would have been nicer if they’d mentioned it on check-in rather than it being something I had to ask for. It doesn’t seem a very helpful way to promote tourism of this lovely place.

The hotel is very clean, centrally located and very comfortable. We were very impressed by the excellent breakfast served in the hotel - fresh and delicious - and with the level of customer service from the staff. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked it as many other properties in my search were booked out, and I can’t really understand why this wasn’t at the time of my booking. It’s definitely a place I would stay at again.

Not dissimilar to many/most Swiss hotels, the room was small and rather basic. Compared to many other hotels we stayed at in this trip, that was possibly the most basic of them all. I wish there were better amenities in the bathroom, like shampoo, conditioner and wash gel (instead there was only one do-it-all option), a larger shower box (it was quite small), and that our room, located in a quiet part of the hotel (good thing), could be more easily reached without the several flights of stairs, up and down, which was not very easy for us with heavy bags.

Nice hotel in the heart of the Chur old town. A short walk from the train station. Breakfast was very good.n The staff were friendly and helpful. They allowed us to store luggage after checking out, which was very useful. It may be an odd thing to focus on, but the shower was exceptional in the room, far better than what you typically find when on holiday.

The free wifi was not very good from the room. While the signal strength to the router was very strong, the internet speed made the wifi basically unusable from the room. From other parts of the hotel, such as the lobby or the breakfast room, the internet was perfectly fine so probably just an internal network issue with the routers. Not a significant impact.

Lovely hotel in the old town. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a large range of options. I had the small attic room which was fine for the price - low ceilings if you are tall though. And keep the roof windows closed if it rains. It was great for a one night stop after arriving on the Bernina Express. The visitor card also gives free access to the pool in summer which was a welcome treat on a hot summer's day.

In summer, put a top sheet on the beds, as it is too hot for a duvet.
