This was an excellent place to spend 3 nights while hiking in this valley. Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Good meals. Friendly and helpful staff. I would certainly stay here again.

I only speak English, so I don't really know what happened, but I tried to communicate to at least 3 different staff members at least 4 different times on 4 different days that I wanted the 9 am shuttle to Pontresina on my departure date and got the impression that I just had to show up on time. However, a group of 12 may have altered shuttle times that morning, and the driver seemed surprised to learn that he had to make a separate trip just for me. I could easily have gone earlier if I had known. It is unclear to me what I could have done better, but the overall service here was so good that I think this was a temporary communication problem that they will address.

We loved the remote location, traveling in by horse-drawn carriage, winter walking, seeing wildlife on the hillsides, feeding the birds. The food exceeded expectations by a significant margin.

Nothing. I can understand that some people might not like the rustic, remote nature of this hotel -- but then hopefully it will remain not so busy sometimes! If you are not a hiker or cross-country skier, there is not much to do in winter.

This is the perfect place to stay in the real nature, very very beautiful valley - almost in front of the Gletchers. That is great that Hotel is located quite away from the town and other villages - you feel really just pure nature there. You can reach it by foot through nice and beautiful road around 7km, or take hors omnibus for 25 CHF from Pontresina. Restaurant is great! Very very tasty!

We loved everything about the property. It is in an idyllic setting on a nature preserve with an arrival by horse. Staff were friendly and helpful, dinner was delicious including tasty homemade blend of tea, water pressure amazing. They included free ride back to either Pontresina or St Moritz station. Can’t wait to return here!

Beautiful hotel nestled in the verdant Roseg valley .Serenity and beauty, this is how I would describe it!. The hotel is everything one could wish for - tidy and cosy rooms, delicious food and very kind staff. We will visit this place again and again... Excellent place!.

If you’re looking for a pristine location, away from the hustle bustle of daily life, it doesn’t get better than Roseg Gletscher. We went in winters, and we’re surrounded by snow and beautiful mountains around us. Great place for hikes and skiing. Wolfgang and his team run a tight ship…the service was great. A lot of hikers and locals drop by during the lunch time, but, dinner time is quite relaxed.

Maybe have some provision for tea/coffee in the room. Since the property is located quite remotely, you are dependent on the few shuttle services to the main city; it’s a 20-30 mins ride or 1.5 hrs plus hike. Having said that, the hotel team is very helpful if you need anything and will get it for you.

Absolutely astonishing location, good wifi, very nice staff. Good hiking possibilities and in the evening it is very quiet.

The emergency exit on the lower floor (near room 103) seemed to be locked or closed, I couldn't open it, not even with my key.

It is an amazing location. U can only get there by the shuttle arranged by the hotel(horse carriage too but costs 140 euros private). They call the shuttle bus but it is a actually a big car. Limited seats so be there early. It is parked infront of the shop next to train station Pontrisena. Pontrisena is easily accessible from St Moritz. Dinner just the main course is 50 euros so come prepared! There is no other buildings let alone restaurants nearby. Free breakfast is great 👍. It is actually a high quality restaurant. The place is worth exploring for half a day or a day rather. It is like an entrapment covered on all sides by mountains. Really mesmerizing experience!

They say there will be a shuttle from the station. A station has lots of places. How do we know where to find the shuttle? They call the shuttle a bus. Infact it is a big car. Horse carriage prices and timings are not known. I was surprised to see that horse carriage costs 150 euros(private). No idea how public ones work.

Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy something on the beaten path (beaten by skis, and boots that is) The staff was friendly and accommodating. We got the free shuttle service from the train station which was convenient. Rooms were very clean as well as the shared bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and included bread, dessert, yogurt, eggs, coffee,etc The area is perfection, right in the middle of a beautiful natural area ready for exploration.

The restaurant was pretty expensive. I'm unsure if there was alternative dining option in the evening since it wasn't mentioned. We only realized in the morning there was a dining space with an inexpensive menu. That being said the food at the restaurant was good. Rooms were really cozy but also so warm even when we turned down the heat all the way. Perhaps because it was so cold outside.

We stayed in the dormitory rooms which were clean and roomy but the bed mattress was very thin and even for a lightweight person it was a a bit of a hard surface to lie on. And we are used to camping and lying on a sleeping mat
