Small hotel with unbeatable location - fabulous view of the glacier (including from our window), comfortable and clean rooms. Extensive and world class hiking, biking and train trips (Bernina line) on your doorstep. Charming yet modern, almost Scandi feel. Included extensive self serve breakfast with delicious local fresh baked loaves, local cheeses and cured meat, fruit/ veg, muesli.

Location - literally the train stop and the lodge at the base of the glacier. Lots of options for outdoor activities. Breakfast was included - great variety: typical European breakfast items along with soft boiled eggs, fresh bread and several choices of jam for toast, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and more. Dinner was a treat - great staff and many delicious options to choose from.

The Morteratsch staff runs an amazing business. Everything was top notch.

Swiss charme, countryside, remote, at the same time reachable by Ratische Bahn at Morteratsch station, right next to the hotel. Lovely place to stay. Very friendly staff. I have enjoyed the breakfast and the half bord offer from the restaurant. It is at the end of the Morteratsch valley with the Morteratsch glacier in sight. Two really wonderful trails. Especially the one up to the Boval Hutte.

Right next to the station in beautiful surroundings with easy access to the local hikes, cable cars, chair lifts etc. Room was very simply furnished, but clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Prices in the restaurant were very high, but I guess if you go to Switzerland this is something you have to expect!.

We loved the location the most. The room was clean and quiet. The food in the restaurant downstairs was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive. The train right outside made it a convenient spot. And the best thing was having a glacier right outside made the door and so many trails .

The location and the rooms are perfect.

The younger members of team need a bit more training to be more efficient and elegant. The dinner service and the breakfast is somewhat chaotic. The wine card is on the expensive side with sad choices of Demeter logo.

Perfect location, excellent food, extremely helpful staff. I was happy to learn after booking that I would get a transportation pass valid for the Engadin region. So nice to step from my room onto a train and get anywhere I want to go. Parking was also very convenient.

Hotel is just alone located close to railway station Morteratsch just at the beginning of the way to Morteratsch glacier. And this is definitely the best way to stay to have possibility to visit beautiful glacier around sunrise and sunset. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Restaurant is very good as well!

It is a modern, comfortable place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would also recommend the restaurant, the food is amazing.

Just be aware that even though the hotel is right at the station, the train comes about once every hour and the last train is around 19:00. So your only option in the evening is the hotel's restaurant (which is great!) if you don't have a car.
