That breakfast! Wow! The amount of choice and the quality was completely amazing. To me, it was the best. To my wife, it was high up there. Next, the room was huge and spacious. We had a back-facing room which was definitely quiet but no interesting views. I'm sure I just didn't pay enough for them. The hotel bar and restaurant were well-visited and everyone seemed happy. The hotel itself is worth exploring because it is nicely done up. Everything was very functional in the room and the location of the hotel was good. The fact that they run a shuttle back and forth to the train station is a big plus. However, we only needed it once because if you get off the train at Samedan and transfer to a bus, you get dropped off super close to the hotel. We also liked the mini-bar in the 2nd floor hall. We got a cold local beer for the road for just 6 CHF. Front desk staff was very good with all our questions and needs.

The beds have a rubber/plastic mattress pad. This gives you a plastic feeling and causes you to overheat at night. We always unmake the bed and take them off. The hotels do this to allow their mattresses to stay nicer longer but it has a huge impact on sleep quality. I'd recommend this hotel get rid of these completely.

The location was excellent as well as the amenities for adults. The Wellness center offered everything you could want after a long day in nature. The open hours for the Wellness center were shorter than one would expect. The SportHotel was lacking in amenities for children, however there was an offer for a discounted rate for a family pool a short walk from the hotel. The discounted rate to rent ebikes directly from the hotel was a pleasant surprise as well as the Swiss pass for transportation on the rail, bus, and ski lifts. The breakfast had many offerings and everything was very tasty. The restaurant SportStübli had excellent meals. The SportHütta's food was mediocre and I did not prefer to eat there again. The room was very spacious and clean. The mountain view from the room was very pleasant. The bed however left me with a stiff back. When I asked the staff if there was anything we can do, they offered to flip the bed from firm to a softer mattress. Overall staff was very friendly and always offered a lending hand.

Short hours for the Wellness center to be open, the spa tub did not work at all during our multi day stay. No amenities for children. The mattress was not comfortable after a few days. The SportHütta's food was bland and the offerings were limited.

THE MOST COMFORTABLE bed, comforter, and pillows of 15 lodgings on our 46 day, 5 country trip! The comforter is one of those lightweight, billowy, perfectly warm down conforters-I want one!! Pontresina overall delighted me in its beauty. The SportHotel was above par in beauty inside and out and quality in all categories. Our dinner dining experience was phenomenal thanks to the help of Tara, the caliber of chefs, and the stunning beauty and comfort of decor. The morning breakfast buffet had a large assortment of delicious choices. The communication before arrival was helpful. We were especially grateful to have a shuttle transport us from and back to the train station. I wish we could have had many more nights in this hotel and area and definitely hope to return! We were disappointed to miss out on the cheese fondue experience in the lodge, but honestly, with only one night to enjoy, I dont think I would have traded the phenomenal meal we enjoyed in the hotel restaurant(My favorite of Switzerland, and one of the tops of the trip)!

Our only disappointment and frustration was that the wellness center closed at 7:30. It seems 10p.m. would be more reasonable! We chose to spend time at dusk by enjoying a crisp air walk about the village clicking away to capture the memory of the beauty. It would have been fabulous to use the wellness center before or after dinner. Since we didn't come inside until 7:15p.m. we were not able to enjoy the center, one of the main reasons I booked at this hotel.

Uncomfortable stool seating in the Sports Bar.The hotel need to invest in a new large screen for watching important sporting fixtures. The existing one has multiple holes in it and is of a very poor quality - which should not be the case in a Sports Hotel.

Breakfast starts early (7 am) with a great buffet. The option to eat breakfast at Alp Languard is cool. Good food available for dinner. Bike storage and cleaning station very useful. Location of the hotel is great. The Engadin Card with public transports and cablecars was included. We never used the car to go anywhere and we payed 26.- instead of 105.- for all day bike tickets up to Piz Nair!

We didn't like the soft bed and pillows. Parking costs extra. There could always be more space for storing (sports) clothes in the room.

We loved everything about the hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful and spacious rooms with views of the mountains. Wonderful rooftop spa. Great morning breakfast. FREE laundry for 'sports' clothing (everything goes into one bag). Highly recommend the hotel restaurant. Loved Pontresina for the hiking and away from the chaos of St. Moritz.

The choice of food for half board was not at all to my liking. In the bathroom was a bath with shower attachment and it would have been a lot more comfortable with just a nice shower.

Fantastic family run hotel. Super clean, great restaurant in house and across the street. Staff is very friendly and top notch. The bar is great and the were very good about showing the Eurocup matches which was fun.
