I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast was very good, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The sauna was decent—clean and well-maintained, though not particularly exceptional. Overall, a comfortable stay with good amenities. Would recommend!

However, the rooms felt quite old and in need of an update. Given the high price, even considering the high season, the overall value didn’t quite match expectations. While some aspects were enjoyable, I expected more for the cost.

It's a historic property and I could tell the staff has worked there for a long time. They were very nice and helpful, much "warmer" than staff from other hotels in Switzerland that I had experienced, made my 1-night stay very comfortable.

It's understandable that the property is a historic building but I do wish it can add more outlets for device charging. There's only 1 outlet for me to charge my phone and the powerbank which I had to take turns to charge them.

Very good location, 20 m from a bus stop. Nice sauna you can book privately (1 hour notice) close to everything and a lot to do. Reasonable price compared to the others in area. Breakfast was amazing! Good staff, helpful and kind. Hotel has lots of free space and facilities.

Rooms a bit small. Restaurant menu only in German. Expensive for Europe, but good compared to Switzerland

Good location, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is designed with a lot of attention to detail. In addition to the rooms, the have lounges where you can play a game or sit and call after a day in the mountains.

The selection at breakfast was great, however I was a bit irritated by the fact that things were individually wrapped and packed which did not look appealing and I feel a lot of the plastic foil could be avoided.

Pontresina is a good location. I got off the Bernina Express from Torino, Italy. There is a grocery store down the hill near by. Buses 60m from the hotel go to and from the train station. Also, I was able to take the bus to Samedan and to Punt Muragl funicular. I took the train to St Moritz and got on the Glacier Express there. If I were to stay longer I could have enjoyed many hikes and nearby places by train.

Superpleasant and forthcoming staff, great location next to the supermarket and train station, breakfast since 7:15 which is great if you want to catch early train (i.e. to Diavolezza), hotel is a part of the local Engadin travel program and offers FREE transport (rail, buses and most importantly cable cars!!!) for their guests which will help you to save a lot of money

Breakfast has only cold selection, but there is plenty to choose from, so it is not a big deal. No shampoo/shower gel available. The bath with the shower is a bit uncomfortable due to its small size.

It was so cozy and warm. The location was great and the breakfast was awesome. The restaurant on site was both very good and convenient. The wait staff, especially Nicole and Ivan, were so friendly and helpful.

The walls were very thin…easy to hear conversations from the next room.

Charming old hotel in very good condition. Clean bathroom, sauna. Very good location near bus stop - good for skiing. Good restaurant. Good breakfast.
