Location is unbelievable. My vision of Switzerland 🇨🇭 is been high up in mountain peaks covered in snow looking down on alpine valleys below you in complete silence we'll if this is yours do not hesitate to book 2 or 3 nights here . Probably one of the best located hotels we have ever stayed in on our travels.

Having to leave

Really nice hotel with perfect views over Saint Moritz and the surrounding Engadine Alps. Getting to the hotel via the Funicular was fun and something different, with excellent views during ascent & descent. The hotel decor is fairly new, clean and well maintained. The staff were all polite, multi-lingual and gave good instruction for the hotel, surrounding area and funicular timings. The hotel is also a good starting & finishing point for the many available alpine walks.

Our only minor negative point would be that they don't have a drinking bar. Drinks are available, but taken sitting in the restaurant, which we found not as sociable because other people were eating at adjoining tables in the restaurant.

I really like this hotel & the way you get to it by their own funicular railway! The view was amazing & we got everything we expected, I have been before though, hence why the wives were surprised. The staff and customer service is/are superb and the food is really good. And I was very very pleased they had cider 🍺!

The price is a tad high for the rooms but it’s your choice whether you pay it, so maybe it’s strange to write that having stayed before. Two improvements that could be made are to defrost the glass screens in the morning, we had breakfast at a window but saw very little due to the frozen glass screens. We also found that in the evening menu there is an option to have Chinoise Fondu, however that has to be booked by 12:00 the day before. We only find that out upon opening the menu at dinner time. That stipulation needs to be highlighted to guests before their arrival if they’re (as I think most are) there for 1 night.

Perfect hotel to "get away from it all". Secluded with amazing views and various things to keep you occupied (if you need). The staff were very friendly and helpful right from the moment we entered the Funicular base station. Return fare and breakfast were included in the booking. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast offered plenty to choose from. Train station or bus stop is a short walk from the Funicular.

Some waiters were complaining about guests, in Italian. Unfortunately for them, is is a language I understand. Probably not only me. That was not so nice. The restaurant manger is very nice and competent

The view from the hotel was spectacular. However, we had a room at the back of the hotel looking out to the children’s playground, so not the best view. We will surely want to book a room facing the front next time. We arrived at the train station not knowing how to get to the hotel - it turned out that you need to get a bus to the cable car station. The hotel did send us the address of the cable car station, but they could have also sent information on how to get there! The hotel room key allows you to use buses, train and trams in the area, which is nice. All the staff we came across was helpful and polite. Breakfast was good.

The hotel was spectacular. The views, the funicular, the staff and the restaurant, you can’t fault it! It’s an experience of a lifetime. This hotel should be on everyone’s bucket list!

Views from the property were fantastic and beautiful walks. Unique given it is only accessible by funicular and easy to get to St Moritz or Samedan from area if you time the trains. Rooms very clean, staff friendly and food (breakfast/dinner) very good. Would highly recommend staying here.

Need to time the funicular and train/bus well otherwise long waits given 1 train and 1 bus per hour. Alternatively, can rent a car at bottom of funicular as there is parking there and a petrol station for easy commuting. Room we booked was basic so whilst small, this was as expected.

Staff couldn't be any more friendly, nothing too much trouble. Once you get up to the hotel, the scenery is so spectacular Food on the terrace at lunch was lovely and the evening meal was very special. Breakfast buffet superb and little touches on table for one of our party who's birthday it was shows how attentative hotel were

Stunning hotel, and a unique experience. I actually didn't think it was overpriced for what it is, and the free local transport card was a nice bonus. I was made to feel very welcome as a solo traveller.

It would have been nice if the room had a full length mirror, and a mini fridge.
