If you dont mind staying in a more remote / natural area away from stores, restaurants, attractions in town, this place is great and better value for money than Pontresina, etc. everything was excellent including the restaurant which is a bit pricey with no alternatives in the vicinity. Travelling with your own vehicle this is not an issue. If you arrive by / rely on public transport, make sure you always check the train / bus schedule to get back in time!!! We did opt for their Chateaubriand special on our last day and it was top notch. Our two bedroom Suite was pretty and clean, it is quiet at night and the hotel is close to Diavolezza cable car station. A free pass for regional transportation is included if you stay multiple nights and is a good deal.

Breakfast buffet is excellent but starts at 7:30 only. Would have been nice to get an earlier start to hit some of the hiking trails a bit earlier too.

Very good sleep, good mattresses, no noise from outside or other rooms. Extreme clean. Coffee and tee in the rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful, from restaurant staff to cleaning ladies to management. Location perfect being with a car and when you want to be outside the city, near the road but with no noise from it. The summer card included in the price from 2 nights is really a plus. Breakfast was very good, delicious fresh bread, cold cuts, fruit, eggs. We were doing late breakfast and then the room stayed a bit more relaxed as early birds started to go.

In the morning breakfast staff was a bit overloaded with some groups, who seemed to come from outside, and we needed to wait for food to be replaced. Restaurant in the evening a bit pricy.

Staff in this hotel is very welcoming. It's very conveniently located just across the street from the train station and you receive a card that allows you to travel on the railway for free during your stay. Hiking trails start also a few meters away from the hotel. Sunset on the terrace is rewarding and food is very good. We had a nice family room which actually had separate rooms for parents and kids with a nice living room in the middle.

Breakfast could improve a little bit, we felt there was not as much choice as there is for other meals. But it was still good and tasty.

Check in was fast and efficient. Room was large and spacious. Breakfast was from a (cold) buffet with a large selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant had good food with variation between each day's 4-course set menu.

Window in the room was a little small and low, so really there was no view on the surrounding mountains, but that's just how that room was. Had to share a bathroom/toilet, but that was no problem. Location was a little too remote for me, as I rely on public transport and so outside of about 8-17h00 it was sometimes difficult to get back to the hotel e.g. 70 CHF taxi fare from Pontresina!

Location of hotel is fantastic - for travelling by train on the Bernina Express and Red train line, as directly opposite the station. Great to use train to go to St. Moritz and other close locations. The position amongst the mountains is incredible. We had a two bedroom apartment which was lovely, clean and comfortable.

Minor item was the beds are very hard but after putting a doona underneath on second night it was more comfortable.

very nice breakfast with pre-arranged nice seats. A grand buffet in a cozy wooden house. The saddest thing is that we cannot enjoy more for an early travel plan.

This is definitely not their fault - the place itself is a bit difficult to access except for the one-hour train. If you want to get something else, get it well ahead before arriving!

Cozy rooms, view to the mountains from every window, our suite was gorgeous with old style decor and modern facilities. Bathtub with a view ! Shower cabin spacious. Beds comfy! Awesome stay also thanks to the host! Extremely welcoming and great chef. We recommend wild dishes and Zabaione dessert! Top notch! Plus delicious breakfast. Thank you !

Very friendly and welcoming staff, specifically the front of house. Very inviting atmosphere and the place itself is extremely cosy. Also very dog friendly and great for transport connections.

- I hate to stay it but… the restaurant was a sauna! I was absolutely melting. They could do with turning down the heating, I don’t know how the staff work in that sort of warmth! - The pillows were not great.

brilliant mtn location, in the Bernina pass with beautiful views and pure nature - but just a few minutes from Pontresina and the Engadin. great skiing at your doorstep with Diavolezza and Lagalb, on piste or touring/snowshoeing.

nothing! the shower and hot water could be improved; choice of pillows. road-facing windows need to be closed at night for early-morning traffic over the pass to Italy.

I liked the cleanliness of the room, and this had central heating in January. The breakfast was nice, a choice of croissants and bread, cereals, fresh juice and hot drinks. I liked the closeness to resorts like Saint Moritz and a local train and bus route next to the hotel

I prefer a private ensuite bathroom and found my room had a shared bathroom, which got busy on a Saturday morning.
