Great location near Formosa metro station.friendly staff who went out of their way to help us with our laundry. Rooms are comfortable and they provide drinking water, tea and snacks.

The only thing we didn’t like was the outside noise since our window on the second floor faces a major street. This is obviously outside of the staffs control. But price you may for the location.

Hok House is a cute and cozy place to stay at with a Japanese feel to it. The property is thoughtfully decorated and the kitchen and communal areas are very cozy with a lot of character. We really enjoyed our time here and it was a perfect place to be staying at during the recent typhoon. The staff went above and beyond to help us, even providing us with baking powder so we could make some scones to pass the time (we couldn’t get baking powder at the shops).

Fantastic location near the MRT, retro building restored with a cafe on the ground floor. Great room with minimalist decoration. Very comfortable bed and great shower with very nice shower gel and shampoo. Comfy living room with books and relaxing areas. Well equipped kitchen with cold brew tea in the fridge and lovely snacks. Lovely relaxing music. Staff is absolutely lovely and very interesting to talk too :) they provide a map with local suggested amenities, shops, restaurants close by the hotel.

Beautifully renovated house, cosy common areas to hang out, rooms that offer everything you need and a helpful team. I could leave my luggage before checkin and after checkout, there’s a luggage elevator. The handcrafted map with loads of tips provided is priceless. And the location is convenient, close to the subway station that connects you to the regular and express train station. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Location is perfect (3 mins walk to red line). The place is so clean, beds are very comfortable and chilling area is so lovely. The staff is so sweet. I told Jane at checkin I was going to Hualien and she typed 3 pages of recommendations and printed them for me without me even asking. The kindest. Not sure why this place isn’t rated 10/10.

The hotel is located near the Formosa Bd metro station. Very friendly staff. Common areas are great to unwind, cook, dine, or work. Beautiful design.

No breakfast and all restaurants around the hotel do not open until late morning. It would be better if the hotel provided a breakfast option.

The hostel is really nice, the staff really polite and kind. The common areas are nicely decorated. Location in Formosa Boulevard is great cause you have access to both mrt lines

Twice I went to shower in the evening (after 22h) and once in the morning and there was no hot water. I was hoping to be in vibrant place and to meet other fellow travellers but the common areas were always empty and guests very silent.

The design of the hotel is really lovely (japanese like interior), super comfy bed, flexible arrival time, the staff is nice and will provid a lot of recommandations & even a map with the things to do / see in the neighborhood. The location is perfect, 3 min from Formosa Boulevard metro station where the 2 local metro lines cross, also 1 stop from Kaohsiung station, 6 stop from Zuoying HSR. And Liuhe night market is just at the corner of the street.

A bit expensive maybe ? But the service / location / style of the place was worth it. Also I booked the day before because of a changing of plans, so I guess it could have been cheaper otherwise.

We were supposed to stay 2 nights but because of the typhoon that closed the country for over 2 days, we had to change our plan and only arrive late and left early the next day. What a shame as this accommodation was incredibly cute. Staff were lovely, room was really comfortable. We really wish we could have stayed longer.

Greatest locations and very very cozy home-feeling vibe!! The food breakfast is made with local farmer ingredients, totally worthy it!!!!!
