Thoroughly enjoyed my week long stay at Midtown Richardson!! I’m traveling with my mother, and the room was comfy and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is located in a great area with a shabu restaurant downstairs and coffee/tea shops within 2 minute walking distance. We felt very safe walking through the neighborhood at night, and the floors were well lit. The room itself had marble walls, stone counters, and carpet floors. Perfect amount of space for two. Room was a little dusty in some areas but nothing major. The beds were very comfy, and staff were very accommodating.

The ac is a bit too cold at times (since it’s a set temperature), but was easily fixed by just turning it off/on as needed. Water would leak out when taking a shower since the doors aren’t properly sealed, has to make sure the shower head was facing the wall instead of door. Lots of mirror space, but bad lighting (for the women)

I like the location, close to subway station and 4 stops to High Speed Rail by subway. 2 stops to Arena, full of restaurants and shops.

We arrived hotel around 7am, of course room was not ready, check-in time 2.30pm. We came back at 1.30pm after lunch, staff said that we could pay TWD300 per hour if we wanted to check in at 1.30pm. we think that this hotel policy is not good, only one hour to go, if you have a room ready, you should actively offer to clients waiting in the hall way, to show your better customer service. Also you don't want all the customers check in at the same time. We had stayed with 3 different hotels in Kaohsiung this time, the other 2 called me around 1pm as soon as they had a room ready. We have stayed many hotels while travelling every year, most hotel will offer room to you as soon as possible.

Awesome position: - 5 minutes away from redline metro stop - 1 stop from the central station and connected to the airport - 5 minutes walk to La One for a nice International breakfast and lunch, and to the Heart of Love River Nice room, clean with a nice and independent shower The staff is very nice

The room was a bit too tight, and the window curtains were not perfectly fitting, so you will see light when on the pillow, making it hard to oversleep

The location of this hotel is excellent, just 3 minutes from Exit 3 of Houyi Metro Station. It is close to Heart of Love River, Kaohsiung Takka Cultural Museum, Supermarket, a few local cafes and restaurants in the vicinity and there is a post office. The cleaning lady is very responsible. It has washing machine and dryer on 10th floor, is relatively powerful. At night the surrounding area is safe. The receptionists are helpful. When I am in Kaohsiung, definitely I will book this hotel again.

The towels are a bit coarse, it would be nice if the laundry company added fabric conditioner to it. I arrived at around 11am, it would be helpful, if I can check in a bit earlier than 3pm.

The facilities and staff service quality all match their descriptions.

I stayed there for 2 weeks, i.e. long-term. I really wish they could provide me something different in the breakfast, for example, I can order a dish of scrambled eggs. For short-term guests, constant breakfast preprations are not a problems.

The location was great, and the staff were friendly and checked me in, unlike some reviews saying that it’s self check in! The room was clean, and refreshed everyday.

The room was very cold, and turning up the temperature of the aircon didn’t seem to help? However, if you turn the aircon off, there’s no airflow so it gets really stuffy. Also there are cracks in the ceilings/the wallpaper looks like its covering some water damage - but this did not affect my stay too much.

Location is good, and it’s close to the MRT station. The room is clean. There is a little bar with drinks, beers and water. Personal stuff provided, teeth brush, shampoo, towels, body soap …

The room is very small. Hopefully there is a platform under the window. We can put luggage on it. There is no place can leave clothes in the bathroom, so we can only take on clothes after going out the bathroom. I think it’s not suitable for trip of friends.

The water pressure in case of warm water was definitely too low. The toilet is in danger of getting stuck, so be careful. The morning breakfast could have been better: No soy milk, no fish, no meat. At least salad bar was good.

The breakfast is really a strong point. Service quality is way above expectatations.

The rotary toaster in the restaurant was squeaky and noisy. Please replace it by an ordinary household pop-up model, which is much cheaper and elegant. Not so many people were using toasters anyway.

The location is very close to the Houyi Staion Exit 3. It is within 5 minutes walk. The room is clean and tidy. The equipment is nice. Though my room is near the road, it is silent inside and it doesn't disturb me.

The self-laundry room should open in 24 hours.
