Very good location, exceptional services for the class.

Staff friendly but stuffily at breakfast. Reception clerk no clue about credit card authorisation and/or cancelling trying to convince you with false information: The hotel makes credit card authorisation (normal so far) but if you pay locally with a different card or in cash the still keep (for 4 weeks) the credit card reservation. But they tell you that they informed the bank and it will take one or two days (this is not true as I would see it immediately if it is cancelled or not; like any other hotel). Just be aware of that which spoils the wine.

Everything! From the moment I entered the foyer the staff were beaming with happiness and really made me feel welcomed. This was constant throughout my visit. The staff really know customer service and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, one member even managed my laundry while I was out exploring. It wasn't only the reception staff either, the entire compliment where friendly, courteous and professional, they made my stay great. The facilities were also great, comfy bed, interesting shower with multiple roses for different showering, and clean and bright. I'd stay again in this location or any others, because they have everything right.

I didn't like leaving and was tempted to alter plans and stay another night.

The location is amazing being situated very close to Kaohsiung station so was very easy to get there, having travelled from Taipei via HRT and only required on change onto their local MRT. In terms of local attractions, most of them are to the South/West of the hotel so not many are easily walkable from the hotel but the MRT was very useful. The room was clean and I really enjoyed the breakfast offering a mixture of western and chinese breakfast so there were plenty of options. The staff were personable, conversing easily with them in English and had a little area by the entrance offering free ice cream which I sorely wished we had room to try and utilise.

Be aware the rooms are a bit cosy (i.e had not much space to place and open two large suitcases with easy) but a minor issue and overall really enjoyed my stay

We asked for 2 pillows in each bed and the lady at the reception advised us that only 1 pillow is given to each guest. This was a disappointment cuz we always request a 2nd pillow in hotels if only one is the bed. Plus the lady doesn’t speak English and was dependent on her translator, unlike the guys in the afternoon shift who speaks English well. The hotel needs to have an English speaking receptionist if it needs to attract tourists

The room was spacious, the beds comfortable and the bathroom clean and well equipped. The breakfast buffet had a very wide array of options (both continental and Chinese) and the free ice cream available in the lobby was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the receptionist who first welcomed us spoke English well and gave us some tips for how to get around the city. Since we arrived before we could check into our room, we left our luggage in the lobby until for the day – this was handled in a very uncomplicated manner.

Our room smelled faintly of old cigarette smoke (though it was faint enough it could be ignored after a while)

I had a great stay at Kindness Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, location was excellent, and it was great to have breakfast included. The room was big and clean. Bed was comfortable. I appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air. The wifi was decent though not perfect.

Adding fly screens on the windows would be good. Otherwise, no complaints.

Hotel was very professional and rooms were big and comfortable. Bed was perfect. Water, coffee and ice cream available when wanted. Nice touch. Staff were very helpful and polite - we had to use translate app to communicate, but was seamless.

Location was convenient for train, but not particularly best part of city. We had to use metro + light rail to get to places of interest. We picked this for convenient location to train, but next time, would choose a nicer part of the city.

If I could I would give this hotel 11/10 ! We have been travelling all over the world for many years and never had this kind of service and for a reasonable price. Don´'t hesitate and stay at this hotel, you won´'t regret it.

Everything was perfect! There are 2 kindness hotels near the station so make sure you are at the right one.

Just a few minutes’ walk to the MRT and train station. Free parking, free self-serve laundry, free ice cream, beverages and snacks.

In our room, both queen beds had one side so close to the wall which left no space for the second person to get into the bed except climbing from the end of the bed.
