Great value for money hotel! The breakfast is included, and you have the option of packing your breakfast to-go. If taking breakfast to-go, the staff hand you 2 boxes and a cup for a drink, and very helpfully pack everything up with cutlery for you. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and spacious enough. There is also a rest area / cafe on the first floor that has free-flow hot drinks, biscuits and ice-cream 24/7, and you are able to claim one beer/juice per day per room. The washing machines and dryers are also free to use.

Unfortunately, there is construction ongoing at the Kaohsiung main station, so the walk back from the station to the hotel is re-routed to a longer route. This is not a fault of the hotel, but it does add about 5-10 minutes of walking.

It is our first time staying in this branch and it exceeded our expectation. We are grateful for the entire staff/ team who have been nothing but friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms (both triple room and double rooms) were clean and sanitized properly. The beds were comfy and the pillows were soft but firm. Though the room was on the smaller side it was alright as they offered great amenities like a work area (where you could study/ work), there was also a lounge on the first floor next to the snack bar (with free snacks, chips, juices, coffee and tea). They also offered a free coupon per room which offered their own draft beer. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food selections. We also appreciated the free laundry area next to the lounge. Apparently there's also the option to rent a bike for free but we never got to try this as our itinerary was quite hectic.

There is no late check out option regardless of us only being able to check in late due to the flight delay. I do wish that there were more fruit options in the breakfast buffet. Reception could be a bit more cheerful instead of looking bored but that's just a minor recommendation.

Stayed in this hotel just 1 night (but 2x) and it's the perfect overnight stay for a Kaohsiung transit. 🛏 Nice, clean rooms that have large windows overlooking the recently rebuilt main station. All rooms have AC that you can control individually. 🍨Free snacks are provided all day (including 8 different flavors of ice cream!), coffee and tea also around the clock. Delicious and varied buffet breakfast with local and western choices included in the price. 🧺Has a self service laundry facility, and they even provide free bikes for the adventurous ones who dare to bike in central Kaohsiung:) 📍Location tip: ignore GoogleMaps directions from the station, just look with your eyes :). GMaps is not updated yet with the brand new walkways - the hotel is just opposite the MRT exit and is a 3 minutes walk. 💰Value for money is just outstanding! The only reason I am not suggesting the Kindness Hotel for an extended stay in Kaohsiung is - because I really think that if someone stays multiple days or longer (using Kaohsiung as a home base), staying at Yancheng district at the waterfront is the best experience. 🌊

We chose this hotel because it is very convenient, located right in front of Kaohsiung Main Station. We arrived by car and although the hotel doesn’t have parking, we were able to park at the newly opened parking lot under the refurbished main station. We then took the train to Kaohsiung Stadium for a concert, very convenient. The hotel interior seems newly refurbished as well so it is clean and spacious enough. You can get a nice view of the main station with a city backdrop from the window. Breakfast is included and the staff are friendly. You can find fast food restaurants and convenience stores nearby!

I would say the breakfast is average, just a regular buffet with nothing really special. The bathroom floors are quite slippery so it is better to use the provided bathroom sandals.

Booked this hotel for 2 nights in Kaohsiung. The location is a 5-min walk to Kaohsiung main station for local trains and subway. Bed was comfy and I was particularly surprised by the bathroom shower heads that have multiple settings. The toilet was Japanese modern style, which is really a plus. Room was very clean and spacious, and super comfortable. Each room was entitled to a free bottle of beer or soft drink daily. This was really nice! There was also a comfortable lounge for all guests to avail of unlimited coffee, tea, ice cream and small snack items all throughout the day. Breakfast was of good quality and with lots of choices. Highly recommended this little gem in Kaohsiung.

1. Station under renovation. Instead of crossing directly to the hotel, It’s a detour and kind of roundabout way to reach the hotel. From 5 minutes becomes at least 15 minutes if you have luggage 2. Though the hotel looked partially refurbished and I actually loved the room 1510. Very spacious and very very clean. Only thing is that we kept knocking our heads to the overhead lamps which are low by my standards.

Staff were very friendly and patient with my level of Mandarin. The room was huge even for two people and was extremely clean. Location is excellent, only across the road from the station. The buffet breakfast were delicious and quite a large variety available. A designated area to relax on the ground floor with coffee, ice cream and small selection of snacks.

Honestly can't think of anything negative.

This hotel was located next to Kaohsiung train and metro station and it is walking distance from Liuhe night market. This hotel offers free scoop of ice cream to hotel guests 24 hours and there are eight different flavours to choose from. The reception provides me room change when the original room do not meet my expectations. the washing machine and dryer are available 24 hours.

Around the corner from the train station so very convenient to take day trips from also. Station is under construction so a little hectic around the area at the moment. Lots of bus options around the area, although because of the construction you need to check if a stop is closed or not. The check-in was easy and swift. There's a lounge area where you can help yourself to drinks and ice cream which is a nice touch. The room and bathroom were spacious. Some people commented on how outdated the decor is but I think it's the right level for the money you pay. Breakfast spread is huge with lots of both Asian and continental options. I appreciated the menu changed a little daily. Super polite and helpful dining room staff.

Coffee can improve. I think it depends on the weather but on some days the AC system must have been super humid and it smelled in the lobby and room. Couldn't get rid of it by blasting the AC as I was getting a headache but the smell went away the next day.
