I was a bit worried about the low rating and many negative reviews, I booked it just because it looked very easy to find coming from the airport 1st time in Taiwan. And it was a very pleasant surprise actually. The building and furnishings are old, true, but it's super clean, the AC/kettle/lift/shower etc all work perfectly, the bed is firm and comfortable, clean thick cotton sheets, excellent soundproofing so it's dead silent. Very welcoming receptionists, always polite, they speak English and gave me a Visit Kaohsiung brochure. 3 mins walk from the train station, 5 to the night market, 2 to the bus stop to the Buddhist complex out of town. No cockroaches, no bugs. I'd definitely stay again

The staff are helpful, they try to speak English and can understand the language. I like how we were able to retrieve our day bag when we thought we lost it in the taxi. We just notified the staff right away and we were able to retrieve it when we got back at out hotel. We also appreciate the toiletry kits, bottled water, fridge, windows, large mirror. The bed is comfy. They have shampoo and body wash.

The hotel was quite outdated. The switch key has to be surrendered when you leave the hotel and everything turns off. Not very cold air-conditioning that is why there is also an electric fan in the room. No electric plugs beside the bed. No bidet. The toilet is quite old. No shower curtains. I did not notice if there's a ln exhaust fan, but you can open the windows of the bathroom and air it out.

It was near the Metro station, convenience stores, fast food outlets, including the Western stuff, McDonald's, KFC etc. The room was air-conditioned, with a mini fridge and my own bathroom, the accommodation, food and drink, were excellent value.

As with all of Taiwan, the sewers being so near to the pavement, the heat in April, 30 Degrees Celcius, but that's not the hotels fault. Overall I had a great time.

1. I like the location of the hotel very much. Easily accessible to the Kaohsiung Station and many restaurants around the hotel. 2. The staff was helpful. Whenever I asked them for anything, they helped me.

Regarding the cleanliness of my room. The staff did not clean the room during my stay and I had to ask for shampoo and shower gel with a towel from reception. Secondly, they did not have a laundry service for the convenience of a tourist.

The hotel was very worth it for its price. It's conveniently located to different public transportations modes such as buses and MRT, which makes it way easy to travel around Kaohsiung. The area of the hotel is also very peaceful and quiet.

The hotel's facilities might not be as updated as the newer hotels in the area. But with the accommodation prices, it made the stay more worth it.

it would be nice to have a luggage rack or something to put luggage on, instead of on the ground, while there is space available for that.

Location near Kaohsiung main Station, there many restaurant and food stall near hotel that still open until 9pm . Room is quite large

Good location to the train station, nicely positioned beside the river (it's in the name), friendly and eager to please staff, comfy bed, good bathroom, great air-conditioning.

It was a tad in need of maintenance, but I guess that's also part of the appeal.

Location is close to train station and a good night market, walking distance to everything!

The bed frame is getting loose, make noise when you turn over.

Location is great, the room is quite spacious.

A lot of mosquitoes, the room fridge doesn't work, very few watchable TV channels.
