The staff at reception were very professional in their welcome. I was a little early but I was told to help myself to a free hot drink while I waited in the communual area. My room was very clean and it was a nice touch to have black pyjama top and shorts laid on the bed for me to use. The shared bathroom was close by. The soundproofing was good. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and sociable with other guests. I was able to leave my luggage in the storeroom while I went to explore Cinjing. Location was good and close to the main stations and a night market

Room was very comfortable, and clean. Location was at the center of Kaohsiung, and very accessible to restaurants, night market, convenience stores, and the Kaohsiung Metro. Facilities include a public bath, where they have a hot pool - very good for your feet/legs after a long day of traveling.

Walls are too thin. I can hear a lot of doors opening and closing, and sometimes even someone showering at the common bathroom. But these were very minor for me. They also provided ear plugs. Water in hot pool was very hot to dip in. This is not a social hostel.

prime location (just a stone's throw from Kaohsiung station, and within walking distance from Formosa Boulevard/dome of light) hostel like but each person gets their own room, perfect for the solo traveler... also what sets it apart is the bathhouse, its nice that a large hot bath after a day's of travel

if you live on higher floors, the wifi is reallly unstable, (I could not access it at all during my stay from my room) also bear in mind that you will hear noises from the hallway and the communal shower from your room. light sleepers should be prepared

Great staff, great location. Really nice if you don't want to spend a lot of money, but still want to sleep in your own small room.

Everything was nice and clean when i arrived, there was just a lot of hair in the bathroom after night one. I feel like this is also something the person responsible could have taken care of themselves to just pick it up, but it would have been nice if it would have been cleaned up the next day. But other than that, the bathroom was good too.

Compared to most other hostels around this was a great find as you could have a small room to yourself and enjoy your own space. The room was cool with a very comfy bed and blanket for a good nights sleep. Bathroom was clean and sufficient. The common space was nice and relatively quiet with guests becing considerate.

My room didnt have a window so having some natural light would have felt nicer. Laundry was also on the pricier side with washing at N$50 and drying for N$50. You can get coins from the reception as the machine only accepts 5 x N$10 coins. The wifi sometimes disconnected but overall it was a good stay.

Central location, clean room, good showers, excellent bed. Best feature is the 2F lounge with street view - good for hanging out, working, or watching the world go by!

10am checkout. No food in room - essentially, dorm rules. Room is a tiny and windowless cell. As with most local hotels, soundproofing is poor; the density of these tiny rooms means that you hear a lot of noise. Sleeping with the provided earplugs is a must. WiFi was inconsistent - I frequently had to tether my laptop to my phone.

The location of the place was superb. Kaohsiung train station (about 5 minutes' walk) and bus transportation is also very near (opposite the hostel). The room and facilities are fairly clean and comfortable.

My only complaint is that I could hear activities in the corridor and my neighbours opening and closing their doors.

Good location. Largely clean, extensive & comfy lounge areas. The small onsen on 2F is nice to relax after a day exploring. Breakfast wasn´t too bad actually.

The staff ignored the smoking area right across the lobby for days, even after ash trays were overflowing and the trash piling up. Hardly any English spoken. Rooms are small, but bearable if you manage to get one with a window (not to be opened though).

Clean room, comfy bed. While bathrooms are shared, those are also always sparkling clean. I also like the common area at the 2nd floor where I can just hang around, eat, and stare at the wide roads outside. I had a peaceful and quiet stay, exactly what I want as a solo traveler.

There is not much of a spread for the breakfast. Not a deal breaker though.

The room was decent and I love the fact that a card is used for entering the appropriate floor and room. The window was big and I love looking down from the window to relax my eyes a bit before I went to bed. The canteen was a perfect place for dining though the music is a little too loud there. The location is perfect as it's just a 5-minute walk to a night market and a big 7-11 store is just opposite. The free breakfast was very decent. I had a cup of coffee every morning before I went out! Highly recommend for solo travellers.

The noise from my neighbouring room was a bit loud - it seemed like people closed the door by banging it instead of closing it by turning the knob. During my first night of stay, the lady next to my room coughed the whole night without closing the door. She talked on her mobile phone by opening the door as well. The noise was super loud. One good thing to note - earplugs are offered for free in each room and they helped! The wifi was unstable too. When I needed to work, I went to the G/F and the canteen and the wifi was good there. Problem solved, yay!
