The location is right beside a large park, Central Park. It's also nearby a subway station, which you can take to Zuoying and then board the high speed rail. Not to mention plenty of restaurants in the area, and close to a few malls. Great location overall. Staff was friendly and patient despite my Mandarin being poor. They were very accommodating, such as when I needed an iron or when I was having trouble getting the washing machine to run.

Occasionally, there was the smell of smoke (especially in the bathroom) that seemed to be coming from other rooms. This only happened a few days during my stay, lasting maybe a few hours each time. There was some mold in the shower area. The area is small and isolated, so it probably grows easily there.

Newly refurbished room, powerful shower, bath tub, delicious breakfast, free drinks and ice cream, location of the hotel.

We enquired a quiet room while doing the booking, but was given a room at the second floor facing the busy traffic. With all the windows shut still couldn't keep the noise out. And we were told it was a quiet room while we checked in... Very disappointed with the service from the receptionist.

This is the first time I have stayed at the Royal since its long overdue reno. Gone are the huge rooms and the enormous bathrooms. In their place are fully functional modern hotel rooms with nearly everything you would need. Including USB posts and power points that don't stop functioning when the keycard is removed when exiting the room. Yay! The new baths are a treat. Well done.

No freezer in the in-room bar fridge was the only negative, but I completely understand why they chose the fridges they did. Staff at breakfast could be a little more customer-focussed.

The location is between 2 MRT stations which was very convenient for me. My room was fairly big, with a shower & a tub (505). The bed was comfortable, there was mirrors and a table light. Whilst I didn’t use the breakfast coupons I did use the B1 restaurant that had 24/7 juice & popcorn.

People complained about the bathroom being moldy, I could see the mold in some areas and thought it needed better cleaning, but it wasn’t so bad.

Great value. Great location next to central park and the MRT station. The room had a cool design with a very nice bathtub. They also had an area where you could get 24/7 coffee, popcorn, and other snacks.

The room smelled like cigarettes. Not the biggest deal for me as once the A/C is turned on the smell tends to mostly go away but it was slightly bothersome at times.

Location is the best.It is near red line train station, near bus stop. Room is big , comfortable and clean. Family mart, 24HotPot, Department stores are beside hotel. Staffs are friendly and nice.

Rest room doest'n have bidet.

The location of the hotel is very good. For the price paid, it's an excellent choice in Kaohsiung. The bath-tub is excellent; seldom see this facility in this price range.

Breakfast can be improved. A bit too simple. Cannot complain really for the price being paid.

I like the room and the place it's very convenient near of everything 🙂🙂 the MRT , food , shopping and park.

Free laundry. Clean and great quality.

No window in my room. But that kept it quiet, and it was plenty comfortable anyway.

The location is perfect. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of options, and the staff is very helpful.
