The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and I'm sure the pillows were new (duck feather). The lounge area has some big vintage sofas, good for chilling out before check in, etc. Microwave, water dispenser. Laundry facility which did the job and dryer. 20nt + 30nt. Super cheap compared to laundromats in the area and the machines work fine. 10NT for some laundry detergent from the front desk. Enough for one wash. Staff were very helpful, patient, and friendly. I always find hotels in Taiwan have a different approach to "customer service", so it was good to get help from certain staff who trusted themselves to use words.

I would never say this in a country where I am a guest. But I think it's a valid point when it comes to a hotel anywhere in the world. It's difficult to try to communicate with staff who can't or won't speak English. And I don't want to stand there waiting for the staff to use translate on the phone and then have to somehow read it with the big plastic (pandemic) screens between me and the staff. And then translate via my phone. Just makes things potentially more confusing and complicated when replies are just guesses. All nice staff though considering.

The staff were helpful and friendly. I've stayed in another Kiwi some years ago where the staff react to you as though you are inconveniencing their time and wouldn't even make eye contact (pretentious). Slightly away from the busier area, so it's quiet and no homeless weirdos wandering the streets at night. Room was fine. Free tea and water. No coffee.

The area seems to be a bit "gangster" at certain times of the day. No night staff, which was uncomfortable after a group of (semi-drunk) Taiwanese male guests started giving me attention outside and in the communal area as the 'novelty foreigner', that I didn't ask for and wouldn't leave me alone when I ignored them. They wouldn't have behaved this way to a local, so basically I was harassed and the staff was about to leave so I had to inform them for my own safety (they called the room and warned them). But not sure how that could have ended if it was after the staff had left. Feel lucky I wasn't a young female solo guest. But hey, the hotel is closing down soon due to rise in rent costs.

Room is wonderfully furnished and decently spacious. Breakfast is wonderful, with porridge and some hot dishes, as well as tea, soybean milk, and juices. A nice hotel in the city centre.

The car park is located in another building about 500m away. To retrieve your car, you have to get a slip from the hotel, walk to the car park to fetch your car, drive it to the exit barrier, press the intercom button and tell the person that you have a slip from your hotel, so that they will come out to you and let you through the barrier. We spoke enough Mandarin to speak to the person on the intercom, but who knows what would happen if you don't.

Friendly and helpful staffs. Comfortable and clean room. Convenient location.

Better NOT to choose to include breakfast as the breakfast is ‘take away’ type. The sandwich was cold even though tastes good. There are many good local eateries nearby especially the 2nd market so better dine out. The other thing is ‘water flood’ after shower. Need to use towels to prevent ‘flooding’.

The staff are so helpful; they show how to get around the city. The location might not be the best, but compared to the prices and service, it is the best in its class.

The hotel is located in the area that has lots of beggars and homeless people, so be more careful at night. Also we got the room whose low ceiling makes feel a bit uncomforatble

Location was within a 12-minute walking to Taichung Station. Property had 2 sets of washer and dryers and the staff were able to split bills for coins. We did a cycle on the dryer for an hour, but our laundry was still wet, however, one the the staff informed us that the dryer we didn’t use is better and gave us a 2 hour cycle for free.

Really comfy bed with a soft mattress so I had a great sleep! Room and bathroom really clean and great pressure on the shower. Good laundry facilities (you can buy detergent at the front desk) and the receptionist was really nice and helped me operate the machine. Opposite is a beautiful temple which has lanterns that light up at night.

Hotel is about 10 -15mins walk from station depending on the pace. Room is small but clean. Breakfast doesn't have a lot of choices and starts at 7am.. Staff are friendly.

Late check-in time.Check-in is at 5pm which is inconvenient. If you need a room to rest after arriving from somewhere then this hotel is not recommended.

The hotel room is a good size, a comfortable bed, and a very good location, walking distance to train and a lot of food places nearby. Good customer service from the reception staff was very helpful and friendly, we story our luggage free as we arrived early. Washing machine clean and room is clean. All rooms is no smoking rooms.

The receptionist very helpful with the directions in getting around the city. She gave the easiest and fastest way to reach the tourist attractions. The breakfast was good too.

I guess the check in time. Coming from a long flight all I needed to take a rest but had to wait for how many hours before check in.
