- The location is great. It’s straight across from the train station and at a walking distance from many hot spots in Tainan. - Our room was large, very comfortable and clean. - The bathroom was also very clean and quite large. - The beds were super comfortable! - Wifi was very good. - We were there when typhoon Gaemi hit Taiwan and we felt super safe inside the hotel. The staff even let us check out several hours later for a small fee, because the trains were running later due to the typhoon.

- The only pet peeve we had was the lack of closets or tables in the room. A small table where you could leave some things or a small closet to hang your clothes would be great. But it wasn’t a dealbreaker at all.

The location opposite the station and within walking distance of many attractions, the cleanliness as well as the staff. The girls at the reception desk are probably the kindest and friendliest hotel staff I've ever dealt with. To name but one example, when I asked one of the girls to call a taxi for me, not only did she make sure a cab arrived almost immediately thereafter, she also walked with me all the way to the taxi - without me asking for it - and told the driver that I was the customer she had booked the taxi for.

It would be great if the night tables were provided with a drawer.

The hotel is a few steps away from the main station. The staff is helpful and friendly (they just hired some English speaking staff). The check-in is fast and smooth. The rooms are mostly clean, and spacious enough. It's quiet and dark in the night, so one can have a good sleep. Beds are comfortable. The wifi works well. There's a desk where you can use your laptop. They provide basic toiletries and water. The aircon works well. The price is by far the most competitive in Tainan.

I've stayed at Tie Dao hotel many times (you can see my many reviews) because it's very near to the main station and to the University. The hotel is an old and dark hotel but they are striving to improve, and they are improving. They hired some young, and very helpful English speaking receptionists. They provide free coffee. They have a spacious and sunny lobby where one can read and work.

I often stay at Tie Dao when in Tainan because it's very affordable and it's just 100 meters from the main station. The rooms are dark and old, but they are clean. The Wi-Fi works well, they provide basic toiletries, there's a desk to use one's laptop. Recently, the hotel is investing to improve: they changed the design of the lobby, they hired young and extremely nice English-speaking staff, they added vending machines.

It's not a luxury hotel: the rooms are dark and gloomy. But, if you are looking for a no frills hotel in a good location, it's the best choice in Tainan.

I have been staying at Tie Dao many times because it's near to the train station and to the University, and because the price is extremely competitive, and I've noticed great improvements recently. The lobby has been improved with tables to work or to study, vending machines, and a coin laundry. The staff is very nice and friendly, and the new staff speak very good English. The place itself is a very affordable no-frills hotel: the room is spacious enough, quiet, and with a good air-conditioning, the bed is comfortable enough, and the shower is hot and clean. If you aim to spend little time in your hotel room, that's enough. If you want to enjoy your stay, you may mind the lack of natural light or a cupboard. The wifi is fine. There are several cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby.

Nothing for that level of price.

We were completely satisfied. The hotel is a 5 min walk away from the train station, which was perfect. The staff was very kind and helpful. We could store our luggage in a back room before check-in and after check-out. The room was big and comfortable with a window, tv and fridge. The bathroom was big and clean as well. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were very quiet. There were black-out curtains as well, which was a nice bonus.

I usually stay at Tie Dao when I go to Tainan because it's close to the NCKU university and to the train station. You can read my many reviews for more information. The hotel is a very affordable one, and they are clearly trying to improve the quality of the service: they have opened a spacious and sunny lobby at the ground floor, they have hired very nice English speaking staff, they have added vending machines, and now they offer a laundry service. They even seem to offer a musical show for the guests on Saturday afternoons, but I've never been able to watch it yet.

The hotel is obviously old, and the rooms are dark. Water tends to inundate the floor of the bathroom when one takes a shower. The drying machines are rarely free so you might have to wait quite a while (or go to a coin laundry nearby) after washing your clothes at the hotel coin washing machines.

Great location hotel right next to the train station! From this hotel, it is easy to get to all of the other places in the city, and a quick train stop to Kaoshing. The city itself has lots to offer. The room was spacious and clean . The bathroom was also very clean. The Internet was very good, I was able to work online here with no problems and the rooms were very soundproof- although you are in the city, you can’t hear any of the noise from outside. The hotel staff who welcomed us, and were very friendly and accommodating. We had a brief chat with him and then English was very good! Later in our trip in Taiwan we met the hotel clerk again and she recognised us and asked if we needed any help catching the bus, we really appreciated this kind gesture even outside of her working environment. She had the most beautiful sparkly nail polish!

This is the best hotel in terms of quality and price where we have stayed this month traveling through Taiwan. The location is very good, close to the 7-Eleven train station and tourist attractions. The reception is very new and the girls are very nice. They offer free washing machine at the reception. The room is spacious, comfortable and very clean, the pillows and bed are very comfortable and the air conditioning works very well. In the hallway there is hot and cold water for tea or noodles.

The hotel is very clean. The staff are hospitable and kind. The location is great--right near the the train station. there are loads of buses in front and a Youbike station across the street. I had a large room with a separate bath.

This kind of hotel is good for short term stays. It is conveniently located, clean and the staff are great. I'm not sure how it could be any better for the type of hotel that it is. I would stay there again without hesitation.
