Super comfortable, clean room. Everything very new Very good buffet breakfast with a large assortment western and chinese foods. Great experience

The swimming pool. Opening hours 07:00~10:30, 14:00~21:00. Is closed on rainy days, which was most of the time during our stay. 6 of the most unconfortable sunbeds I have ever tried. not meant for sitting or lying down. Tables with chairs further away from the pool. No shade provided at all, so the pool area is only nice for kids / a quick swim, not for relaxing on hot sunny summer days. Strange contrast with the really great quality of the rest of the hotel

The hotel just got refurbished and looks and feels super new and fresh. We received a free upgrade at check-in. The room had great design and a comfortable bed, with shower and bath separated from the toilet. Front desk staff was welcoming. Concierge was great! Location is perfect, plus convenient and free underground parking is provided. The rooftop pool was a nice extra (wearing a hair cap is mandatory). What we found strange though is that there is no bar to get drinks on the rooftop, and no outside drinks were allowed either.

Service level and English proficiency of front desk staff could be better. When we had very normal requests, the answers seemed off and not service oriented. Our bathroom looked clean at first sight, but we noticed several long black hairs later on.

Beautiful hotel with very new sparkling facilities. It’s in a good location close to the train station but about a 15 min walk away from the main tourist part of Tainan. There is plenty to see and look at in this area though anyway. Pool was a big highlight, it’s large and the whole desk has plenty of space for lounging so you don’t feel like it’s crowded. Great to have a gym and laundry facilities which we used too.

If you want to be closer to the main shopping strip and night market of Tainan, this might not be the place for you.

This was a lovely hotel very close to the train station. The breakfast buffet was really legendarily big and delicious. The rooms were a good size with a very comfortable bed. There's a pool, but I couldn't try it because of the weather. There's self-service laundry machines, where you can also buy laundry detergent on-site for TWD 20. The staff was very friendly and helpful for my questions. The water machines are on every floor were convenient as well.

The hotel is on a very busy main street near a hospital. This does cause noise, so do be aware of that. It doesn't hurt the experience, but it's not a completely silent hotel.

The hotel is in a great location, and the room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was decent, though not quite as good as I’d hoped. The staff were excellent!

Unfortunately, one night we were woken up by a strong smell coming from the drains, which was the only real downside to the stay. The fitness centre was modern and well-maintained, but very small. They did have a Smith machine, though oddly, there were no plate weights available to use with it, which limited its usefulness.

There was so much to like about this Hotel. We arrived early and asked if we could stow our baggage while we went to get something to eat. We were told this would be no problem and once our room was ready, we would be given a call. Ended up checking in early. Room was spacious even with a King size bed, bath and shower... the toilet was separate from the bathroom which is always a plus. Washing facilities on the 11th floor consist of a washing machine and two dryers. This is not a laundromat but suitable for small loads. Rooftop swimming pool and gymnasium are located on the same floor. Breakfast was exceptional with meals to suit every taste. Eggs were cooked on demand and the breakfast chef was an excellent cook. Breakfast times were arranged at check-in. Brunch was available in lieu of breakfast from 11am at a small extra cost. Staff were always available and ready and willing to help in any way they could. Initially chose this hotel because of its location but would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing to not like about this Hotel. Staff and Facilities are top notch. Breakfast was the best of any Hotel I have stayed in while in Taiwan, perhaps the best breakfast of any Hotel I have ever stayed in. Always gave the Rendezvous Hotel in Melbourne top marks for breakfast but the Grand Banyan Hotel is definitely up there with the Rendezvous.

This is a top-class hotel; relatively expensive but worth it IMHO. Located near Tainan central station. The bed was large and comfortable. Good-sized rooms and bathrooms (shower + bath). Very nice and varied breakfast. Friendly staff. Small gym and roof-top pool (didn't use as it was closed due to typhoon!). All in all a very pleasant place to hole up!

Minor stuff: the bath mat was a bit frayed, the bathroom design meant the water filled the entire floor when showering, my eggs benedict was cold by the time it arrived, and the "Alexa" type thing in the room was rubbish.

Room was clean. Furnishings were new. Excellent bidet. Great way to clean off after voiding your large intestine. The stream of water will stimulate a reflex and help you to thoroughly void. Just like mommy panda licking baby panda on the bottom and helping baby poop. Dinner was a great experience. Small dishes allow you to try many things. All the dishes were made with great care. While the dinner was not cheap it was a great value. Breakfast was great. Many choices and everything was made with great care. Hot and ice cold water available in the hallway. Staff was helpful with directions to key sites.

I needed to stay for an extra day. But front desk staff claimed they no rooms available. The hotel was not busy. It is difficult to believe they had no room available. Lousy customer service.

Fantastic lobby and very attentive staff, beautiful and very clean room with comfortable bed, quiet room, and bath. Very nice extensive breakfast in lovely surroundings.

Staff were a little too attentive at the breakfast. Felt our every move was being watched and sometimes barely, or not finished before plate was quickly removed. Perhaps too many waitresses patrolling, but only doing what they have been asked to do. Would prefer a more relaxed and friendly approach.

The room is very new, comfortable and clean. Bed and pillow are good to fall into sleep. Sofa is also solid and comfortable. Air conditioner is working well and can be adjusted the temperature. Hotel staffs are very nice and willing to help. Breakfast with many vegetables is great for travelers. Just 7 mins walk to train station. It is a perfect place to stay in Tainan. I will come back for sure.

It is pity I encountered my neighbor smoking throughout the evening which made me highly uncomfortable. However, hotel staff helped me change the room to other floor in the end. It is recommended hotel should have penalty for smoking guest.
