Everything about this hotel was great, by far the best stay of our Japanese + Taiwanese vacay. The rooms were of a good size, very clean and also cleaned every day, complete with clean towels and the floors were also vacuumed daily. The spa tub in our hotel room was awesome, we used it every night. The toilet was also separate from the shower which was brilliant and convenient. The cups were changed daily and coffee/tea/cookies were refilled daily too. The breakfast spread was wholesome with both taiwanese and western options. Overall, very good value for money. The location is slightly further from downtown Taipei but closer to Yangmingshan (if you enjoy hiking), the location is good. It's also conveniently located close to the traditional market, highly recommend you visit the local morning market Beitou. We also found good restaurants located nearby the hotel. The only improvement for the hotel is to consider having netflix in the rooms. Apart from that, everything was really good. Will consider staying here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The facilities, including the private bath, were great and very relaxing! The location was very convenient and near a train line, restaurants, convenience stores, Starbucks, and nearby activities such as the Thermal Valley and various hikes. The complimentary breakfast service was good too! Highly recommended!

The bed we had was like two twin/full mattresses pushed together, so it was a little bit uncomfortable where the two beds were connected/joined together.

1. Good location - within 3 minutes walking distance from MRT Xinbeitou Station Exit 1. There are convenient stores, fast food restaurants (McD, KFC) and business area near the resort. 2. I got free room upgrade! Sauna and private hot bath tub are provided in my room. Bathroom and toilet are separated in the room. Room is huge enough and Japanese style toilet bowl. 3. Facilities are in good condition. I like the shampoo and body wash provided. Welcome cookies are provided in room. 4. Room is clean. 5. There are 3 hot spring pools in the public bath area - Cold tub (18C - 19C), Jacuzzi bath (38C - 39C) and hot tub (42C - 43C). Bath areas and storage are provided in the public bath area. After the taking the onsen, you can enjoy tea time and drinks provided by the resort. 6. Good breakfast and it was nice. 7. The hotel is near to few attractions - Public Library, Beitou Hot Spring Museum, etc (However, Thermal Valley is a little bit far from the hotel) 8. Overall good! Highly recommend you to spend most of your time here to enjoy to the fullest possible.

Nothing much to complain, just the check-in time is at 4pm (but the staff allowed to check in around 3.30pm) and check-out time is 12pm.

The location was excellent. The room was spacious and asethetically pleasing. The hot spring tub inside the room was very convenient. The welcome cookies was a nice touch! In the hot spring area, there were multiple cubicles and open areas for washing and cleaning (with body and hair wash and conditioner provided). There was a sauna room and a steaming room in addition to the hot spring baths. The beds were comfortable and the staff members were friendly. The breakfast was quite nice. When they learned that I preferred a vegetarian diet, they went the extra mile to cater for my diet and made me a vegetarian pasta! That was a very nice and heart-warming gesture!

The mirrors inside the room were basically dark reflective surfaces. The washing basin area, while asethetically built, may not be the most practical because it was not very wide and it was situated in the open area. It's likely that you'll splash water around.

Beautiful room that would be wonderful for a getaway. It’s close to the MRT lines from Taipei central station. At check-in staff were helpful and offered to explain procedures for the public bath if I chose to use it. Staff followed up to make sure I had enough bottled water and other amenities. The in-room bath was excellent and also had a shower that you could use before or after the bath to wash up. On-site restaurant is excellent.

The walls can be a little thin and sometimes you might hear guests in the hallway a little bit.

The room was incredible for the price. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious. There was a large tub with hot spring water piped directly into the tub, and a sauna too. The toilet was in its own separate area away from the room’s “spa” area, which I think is an important detail that many places overlook (who wants to stare at a toilet while soaking in the tub?) The hotel’s public baths are also nice, and hotel guests can access them for free twice a day.

Breakfast was adequate, but not especially impressive.

Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Beitou Hot Spring Resort. We chose this hotel as a treat at the end of a month long independent tour by car throughout Taiwan. It was a novelty to have thermal waters pumped to our room and to have a sauna and steam shower as well. The staff were excellent throughout our two day stay. Breakfast was nutritious and filling with lots of choices at the buffet. The hotel kindly stored our luggage after checkout as our flight out of Taiwan was at midnight and we wanted to see more of the Beitou area.

Small stuff. We wished there was an extra towel rack in the bathroom area and that there were stands for two pieces of luggage in the room. But these were very minor issues in the grand scheme of things.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Newspaper delivered to your door in the morning was a lovely touch. Room was big and bright and beautiful and we were upgraded when we arrived which was really kind! Sauna, steam and huge spring in room were wonderful. Only let down was breakfast - for a fairly pricey hotel we have had much better at more budget places.

Location is great - 2 minute walk from Xinbeitou Station. The private hot bath in our bedroom was fantastic and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was also nice.

It would be good if we were able to do check in early, as check in was 4pm. We were able to leave our luggage and advised by staff to return later though.

I have got a free upgrade that includes an onsen tub and a sauna room. The room were huge and there were even a Japanese style toilet. I spent most of my time in the room except going out to eat dinner. I would recommend going out of the hotel and explore around beitou for dinner.

I don't really have anything i didn't like except that the French toast for breakfast were dry. Check in is strictly 4pm, if you come early you might need to go other places to explore around first. Luckily you can leave your heavy bags with the hotel.
