Everything. If you’re seeking an authentic Ryokan experience without the hefty price tag, this hotel is your ideal destination. The service is unparalleled; staff are exceptionally attentive, going above and beyond to ensure perfection in every aspect. Attention to detail is evident throughout, from the buffet’s thoughtful inclusion of furikake for children to an extensive selection ranging from Taiwanese breakfast congee to Japanese sashimi. The hotel’s design is ingeniously inspired by the concept of ‘屋中屋’ (a house within a house), as showcased in the video captured from the elevator descending to the lobby. Rooms adopt a traditional Ryokan style, complete with daily yukata and sock changes, enhancing the authenticity of the experience. Location is superb. 1 minute walk to 7-11, Carrefour, 5 mins to New Beitou MRT and literally just across is the Onsen Museum with FOC entry daily. Rooms are too small for family. Can do with more hangers or cupboard to hang jackets. No windows hence feeling a bit claustrophobic and stuffy. But other than that it’s perfect stay.

This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel. We love the location, the ambience, the ever friendly staff who go all the way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable! We will be back again.

During our Dec2024 stay, toothbrush/toothpaste were provided. In our April 2025 booking, in the amenities list, it's mentioned toothbrush/toothpaste will be provided. However, when we checked in, they informed us these are no longer provided. But it's okay. We can get these items easily from the convenience stores (many around the area😊). Suggest that they update the Booking.com list though.

Location is around 10 mins walk from Xinbeitou station, so is one of the more accessible hot spring resorts in Beitou. Views are superb looking onto adjacent park, hot spring museum and library from both the room and the in-house cafe and bar. Room quality was exceptional, on par with a Japanese ryokan - spotless condition, no noise leakage and super comfortable bed and tatami flooring. Hot spring bathtub in room was blissful (did not try the public bath or sauna) with similar view to the main room. Breakfast buffet was great and the complimentary beers and biscuits in the room were much appreciated.

There was some slight confusion around which breakfast foods contained peanuts (as an allergy sufferer), though staff did their best to clarify that swiftly. Signs indicating allergens similar to the ones for vegetarian and halal options would be appreciated. It was not made clear at check-in that restaurant required reservations, we got perfectly tasty food at the bar but would have appreciated a heads-up. In truth though, this is nitpicking and the hotel more than lived up to expectations.

-Relatively near the XinBeitou station -Many convenience stores (24hr) nearby -Very responsive, friendly & helpful staff (eg promptly answerring my messages before our stay. They went the extra mile to prepare and send up breakfast sets to us at 5.40am when they knew we would miss the breakfast time (7am-10am) of one morning) -When we entered the hotel main door, we love the ambience -When we entered the door to our hotel room, we fell in love with the setting, cleanliness, lighting, spacious area, etc etc -Breakast at level 3 - fresh & delicious -Private onsen is fantastic

-I am very particular about scent. In general, the room smells nice, except the toilet. We need to spray perfume into the 'toilet' . -I am also particular of the cleanliness of the wash basin and tap area. In general, they are clean. However, if one was to sit down on the pedestal pan, one could see the dirt beneath the seam of the basin, etc. If the housekeeping can improve on these two areas, this would be perfect!

Staff were very attentive, guiding us from the entrance to the lobby, then taking us up to our room and showing us the features of the room. All guest rooms include a private bath with onsen water. Our room included a sitting room and a separate room for the futon already laid out. The hotel itself was fairly grand, with mesmerizing interiors. Exploring it was quite a fun mini adventure. You can also enjoy the public bath as well, which was fairly big, but with some sections that were closed. We didn't do the dinner plan, but breakfast is included, which was buffet style and included a lot of options to choose from.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. However, we did not realize until after we checked out that it seems like they have Japanese tea ceremonies. I guess I wish we knew about it so we can do it.

The price paid does not justify as all is good but unnecessary. So much beverage and dessert are provided in the fridge and snacks and fruits on the table which we didn’t consume which were wasted. Overall, the room and our stay were very comfortable cos all the staff were friendly with so many items provided for in the room but unnecessary such as slippers, robes, socks etc.

The common hot spring was a disappointment cos it’s old and small.

The hot springs cos there are not enough alarms inside the hotsprings for guests to ask for help when they are in emergency. Also, the presenter spoke too fast when introducing the way of drinking Japanese tea. It was. Or a presentation.

It is the best hotel in Beitou - Perfectly located in front of Beitou Library and Museum. It is easy to get to from Taoyuan Airport for a good soak. Facilities are kept very clean. Best of all is the ever friendly and hospitable staff.

Not brand new but it’s well maintained and clean. Nice elevator ride to appreciate the building. The breakfast is very good. Wide variety and tasty.
