The hot spring bath was exactly as in the website photo with a wonderful view of the mountains and surrounding houses. The location of the hotel is excellent. Within walking distance to Thermal Valley, the Hot Spring Museum and the beautiful Library. The breakfast provided was ample and not too elaborate with the right mix of Chinese morning dishes like dim sum and Continental offerings.

The mattress was heated which should have been a real bonus. The staff were so attentive to many details but omitted to tell us about the heating feature which we could have used. The bathroom door was a bit shaky and made us worried so we had to slide it very gently.

Overall, it was decent for what I paid, especially since I snagged a discounted rate.The best part? That in-room hot spring spa! Such a treat after walking around Taipei all day. And I have to say, the staff were absolutely fantastic - super helpful and attentive throughout my stay. The bed was really comfy too, which I always appreciate when traveling.

One thing that annoyed me was the TV remote - I couldn't get it to work from the bed unless I sat up and leaned toward the foot of the bed. Not the end of the world, but kind of frustrating when you just want to relax! Breakfast was just okay - nothing special but did the job. You can definitely tell this place needs some updating. It's marketed as a 4-star hotel, but it's showing its age in quite a few areas.

room is clean and comfortable. aircon works well. hotel also has a shuttle service that can pick up/send guest to the nearest train station. went there for the hot spring in room and it was great. bed is king size (i think) so it was great for us since we have habit of sleeping separately.

there were only 2 big towel. which means after the hot spring, we have no extra towel to dry ourselves before we rinse in the toilet. there were also many tiny flies - which i suspect is from the drain around the hot spring tub or just the general humidity of the room since there are a lot of moisture. im not sure if anything can be done to prevent that. it is just a little annoying but it didn't affect anything else.

We are so happy that they upgraded our room as free and we love the suite room has a private hot spring in outside. Its not actually outside but separately in room and we are really enjoying. The room is super tidy and clean, the bed is huge and good enough for three in whole family.

Our family vacation is not arranged in peak season in the end of August, so the hotel has no dinner services, that is the only thing we do not like. Because the hotel is very good and comfortable, we would stay longer in there.

our room was big and comfortable. quite from voices. the staff was very very friendly and attentive. specially when asking for a shuttle to downtown.

we can hear the water being drained from the upper floor when they are using the tub. we stayed for 3 night, which i think wasn't normal. so the breakfast was always the same. coffee serve in the breakfast was BAD. no place to eat for dinner

The personal hot spring in your room is great. The heated bed was very inviting. The staff was very helpful and free shuttle service is convenient, especially if you can call their local number for pick ups.

The included breakfast was a bit bland and basic. It's on the upper side of the hill which makes walking around slightly more tiring.

I loved the availability of an electric bed that provides heating, it was very comfortable. Also loved the layout and size of the room, it was overall very clean. Appreciate the Happy Birthday additions provided, my girlfriend was pleasantly surprised and we had a great time. The television service was also quite impressive with the many options.

Unfortunately, the outdoor area was under renovation, so it was not available. It looked like it would have been a great experience to enjoy an outdoor shower or romantic outdoor experience, but the room closed it off. This was very unfortunate and I would hope that the hotel would give a room that is not under renovation next time. I would also recommend providing simple snacks or drinks other than the water bottles, although we did bring our own.

From pre-checkin to leaving the hotel, i enjoyed every moment and will stay again when I visit Taiwan again. A big thank you to Ms.Amy, she has been such a helpful and wonderful, friendly hotel staff. 1. She responded very fast through the booking.com messaging function. 2. She ensured that I was able to find the designated pickup point. 3. During the check-in, she was so friendly and put a great smile. I felt so warm and welcome! The room was fantastic, really spacious. There was a huge bed, hot spring tub, a dining platform, and outside was the patio. The morning breakfast was suffice, a mix of western and traditional taiwanese porridge and cook-it-yourself instant noodles. The 12pm checkbout was a plus point. Check out time, just nice, Ms. AMY was managing the reception counter, i was fortunate to meet such a warm and friendly person, making my stay in Doubleone a wonderful one.

The good points of this hotel superceded a few bad points, but it will be helpful for the hotel to improve. 1. For rooms with patio or balcony, please provide anti mosquito incense or spray. 2. Install a switch-on lighting at the patio, its kinda creepy to step outside at night. 3. The exit light is too bright, and it's shining to the bed.

An excellent location for a couple's retreat. With a mountain-view room the view from the hot-spring tub cannot be beat, especially at sunset. Hotel is out of the way from the city center and relatively quiet and peaceful; it was certainly helpful that the hotel provides transportation to and from the nearest metro stop.

Dust and mold can be seen from the air conditioning vents, and it was a bit surprising that a hot spring hotel does not provide bathrobes.

We had stayed in Xinbeitou before, but this stay was a superior experience. The breakfast buffet was superb. Our room was ground-level in the back, so nice and quiet, and was really well-appointed. The en-suite tub was large; we could adjust the cold water, hot water, and hot spring water separately, which we liked very much. We really appreciated the shuttle service down to the public transport and town market area. Parking was convenient and free.
