The bar area is good. The massage spa and pool are great. The sitting area facing the ocean is fantastic. The band was entertaiing. Abdul the waiter was exceptionally good. He took time to explain the menu, encouraged us on what meal options we cpuld explore and was generally very welcoming. The reception area has a hood set up and the spa is beautiful.

The breakfast is miserable. It could do with more choices of the hot stuff. We expected the menu to have ugali and other local foods for exploration. The meals were generally dry. A huge improvement is needed.

It's a very very beautiful hotel. Nice big rooms with fridge, safe, walk in shower AC and Vent. Walking to the breakfast area (great variety of breakfast options) on nice paths, left and right all blooming and green. In the night lanterns and lights shine along the path it's - like a paradise. So peaceful and the employees were all very helpful, polite and friendly. The Lounge chairs are wonderful to relax, unwind and read a book while hearing the sound of the waves. A precious calming atmosphere awaits you at Mediteraneo Hotel. And the food - oh the food is heavenly - try local food like mishkaki nyama, or grill nyama so soft and tender or if you like chicken: kuku ya nazi with rice... Soo delicious. For people who look for the Mediterranean style or pizza -pasta - you get a great choice as well. Definitely a gem in Dar es Salaam.

That I had to leave this paradise....

It’s a very beautiful well maintained hotel, directly at the beach with the luxury of a really nice and relaxing swimmingpool. It is quiet (I stayed over a week including weekends), the owner makes sure the noise pollution is as low as possible. Never been in such a peaceful hotel in Tanzania, so many thanks for that low noise policy. In weekends there is live music at the restaurant, which is nice and entertaining and not disturbing at all. Im a light sleeper and didn’t even need my earplugs here. The food in the restaurant is amazing! Big compliments to the great chefs, I recommend the ‘samaki wa nazi’ (fish in coconut sauce), simply delicious. And last but not least, the amazing sweet and welcoming staf, they make your stay truly wonderful. Asante sana to all of you! I will definitely stay here again and fully recommend this beautiful place. Ps I think this place is also very suitable for families, there is a playground and the pool and beach are nice areas for children as well.

Nothing to mention

the room was beautiful with a nice huge double bed and mosquito net. the pool and the neatly arranged garden are great for relaxation and the view onto the ocean is just amazing. the lunch that we had in the restaurant was also very well made.

the floor in the bathroom was too slippery for the kids (our 1,5 year old fell and hit his head) which made showering very stressful. the small private terrace in front of the room is very cosy but hardly usable due to masses of mosquitoes who enjoy the shade just as well as we do.

For a three star hotel property, it certainly met expectations overall. Rooms were comfortable, clean and met three star standards. The landscaping of the property is meticulous and very well-managed. The property is on the ocean front, and the dining room is very pretty, comfortable and every table has a beautiful ocean view. The staff were all friendly. The breakfast was good, with an average (but good) omelette bar, fresh fruit, and average pastries and juices. To be clear, the breakfast met expectations for a three star property and we were pleased.

There was nothing we didn't like, based on the expectations of the property and pricing we paid.

Beautiful setting with large garden and pool, friendly staff, good food with many options, large rooms, live music at the dinner. The hotel is not close to the city center but that did not bother us since we simply used Bolt when needed.

Little breakfast options for the price of a night and the woman did not care much (e.g. trash lying at buffet table from other guests). The mosquito net had several holes and this place has a lot of mosquitos! There is also a local beach club next to the hotel with very loud music. If your room is close to that, you might not be able to get a good sleep.

great food, excellent room - Especially the Suite, no 35!

Already provided feedback; the Hotel needs to find a way to recognise, acknowledge their loyal clients. This is key Between my family members and I we have been at the Hotel more than 12 times. 1- how should you welcome your loyal clients 2- how do you make them EVEN more loyal to the Hotel? You should look for solutions for these key questions and implement new processes/tools. But all in all, an excellent experience and yes, I would return. Thank you

Property is beautiful with all the amenities you could want- beach access, pool, restaurant, gym, etc.

The hotel takes advantage of its superb Oceanside location and well landscaped grounds with local flora. The baobab tree in the courtyard is wonderful. Staff at the Mediterraneo were capable, competent, personable and quite accommodating…..one of the hotel’s best asset. The rooms offered everything that you need; the sitting area outside of the rooms were lovely. The restaurant’s menu was quite varied, with the presentation and taste done well.

The mosquitos in the evening were a bit of an issue.

Beautiful environment planting was lovely and night time lighting - lots of attention to detail was very pretty. Rooms clean and comfortable, staff super helpful, food and service was excellent ! Great pool and easy access down to the beach. Communication with hotel was excellent prior to arriving who responded quickly to what we needed. Kids loved the pool against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean. Easy access to the beach . What's not to like ! We loved it ! Would recommend. Asante san 😊

There could have been more seating around the pool and canopies was quite hard to find a place to sit in the shade sometimes particularly on the weekend.
