We really liked the hotel itself – beautiful surroundings, a nice pool, excellent cuisine, lovely authentic bungalows, and wonderful staff, especially Esther, who was always cheerful with a big smile, the delicate Melania, and, complementing these lovely ladies, the wonderful Julius. The hotel also arranges excursions, and we went on the Blue Safari. We were lucky to get private tour just for my husband and me, and it was cheaper than group tours offered elsewhere. I have stayed 4 nights with my 3 kids and wife at Kameleon Blue. We have enjoyed the beautiful garden, the pool and the restaurant area, The staff were very friendly and helpful The food a bit pricy but tasty. The place is quiet and one can make nice walks in the surroundings, without the crowds.

The closest beach is very small and because of the tides most of the day flooded. The nearest bigger beach is a 20 min walk, But the fishers and residents do not care to keep it clean for the visitors, which is sad. There is a lot of rubbish, also coming with the water from the mainland.

no room service during our 4 day stay. to get to the ocean it's a bit of a walk, unfortunately there's no beach to stay at and during low tide the water is far. restaurant prices are even compared to other tourist places rather high (~30k for a fish dish)

I have just stayed for two weeks at this hotel, the property is so clean and the staff are literally the best team. The rooms are clean spacious and very traditional to Zanzibar. I have never felt more at home and more welcome by Ben and his team. The staff team have been like my family and have been so polite and always happy to help you with anything you need. The property has all you need, and the location is a short walk to the beach and to the shops. I want to just say thank you to all of them for this stay and to have got me through some bad news while I was over here. This hotel is a MUST if you go to Kizimkazi 👍

Can’t fault the hotel at all, the rain can sometimes restrict you but this is nothing to do with the property.

The accommodation has an amazing communal space, great for meeting people. Monday nights is where it is at. I booked 3 nights but ended up staying an extra night just so I could attend the Monday night gig. The band was incredible. Yoga was amazing too. Yoga NA Rio was a greater teacher. My first ever experience of yoga with an instructor playing beautiful music on his guitar whilst in savasana. The beach is a short walk and there is nobody there with amazing sunsets. This is a developing area of the island so if you’re looking for a low key vibe, this place is perfect.

While not the cheapest for a dorm, it truly is a quality one. Very clean, nicely decorated and well kept, double curtains for privacy, individual power sockets and plenty of space between beds. The dormitory has own bathroom. Common areas are wide and spacious. Friendly owner and lovely staff. Reliable wifi. Relaxed vibes in the village nearby.

I don't really like the surcharge on card payments although that's standard practice on the island. The price of dorm beds could be cheaper (but, as said, quality is definitely there). Overall a very pleasant stay which I would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Kameleon Blue. The place is in a really quiet area, few minutes walking from the beach. It has a beautiful garden with nice swimming pool. We enjoyed a lot the food in the restaurant, the only varied vegetarian menu in the area. The breakfast was big and super delicious with three different options to choose from. The staff was really friendly, very good vibes and we got really nice tips from them on getting around the island. You can book any day trip or transfer directly from there.

The staff and the owner are all so accommodating. It's vibrant and so beautiful the surrounding areas with trees, bushes, fruit plants and a great swimming pool. The rooms were gorgeous and suited everyone in our groups needs. Myself and Alex in a double.room with a private shower room and toilet. Our friends were in the backpackers area which was also really good and had curtains.yo.sectopm off the sleeping areas for privacy and a shared bathroom/ shower room. It's not slap in the middle of a busy section of the island so it's lovely and quiet at night. They provide breakfast with your stay and the food we had.from their restaurant was delicious.. Would recommend for family's and couples. 🥰

The road getting into the place itself is extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. Especially since the rainy season is just ending. It makes for a very slow and uncomfortable ride in the car. But other than that perfect

Quite area,out of the way,relaxing place,nice area to swim 5 minutes away,very safe ,if you want tranquility go here,not crazy like the North Host very helpful with information. Staff pleasant, they are very helpful and obligin, if you want to chill you found your place.

This isn't a complaint,just be aware if your driving,there's a small section of road on way to hotel,only short but it's a bit rough,your only driving on it 10 minutes.but it's fine,like a lot of roads in Africa, just take your time.
