Very comfy and clean. Massive rooms and beautiful bathroom. Supplied a good wooden safe and comfy cot for our baby. Not just a pop up one you’d normally get. Lovely pool in the sun most the day too, friendly helpful staff. Free hot drink and toast & spreads in the morning.

That the shuttle is only every 2 hours. 9-5:30pm And he only stops at one spot, it’s a bit far to go for food / drinks to walk as in the dark but it is doable. Or the tutus are 200bht Needs some sort of hot food / snacks facility as you have to go out or order a food delivery in.

The hotel itself is stunning with beautiful scenery all around and a generous sized pool open until 9pm. The hotel also offers a small breakfast for free in the morning which consists of tea, coffee, toast and biscuits, which we thought was a lovely touch. The room itself was huge! Featuring a large bedroom, bathroom and lounge kitchen/diner, really spacious with plenty of room. There’s also a lovely veranda in front of the apartment with deck chairs and table etc. The AC worked fab too and housekeeping visited daily, providing fresh towels and bedding. The location was average, a few bars and restaurants within 10-15 min walking distance, but the beach and main tourist area is around a 10 min drive away. The hotel also offers bikes for rent which gave us peace of mind leaving our passport with them as opposed to a random bike shop!

The room itself was very dark, with only two very dim lights in the apartment. Even during the day, it still wasn’t bright in the room. We also couldn’t use the wardrobe during our stay due to a very strong musky smell. The shower pressure was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was more like a trickle, thankfully we were only here 3 nights so I didn’t need to wash my hair as that would have been impossible!

The property is well laid out with lovely large bungalows and fantastic bathrooms with a bath and separate shower. The swimming pool is great, clean and the centrepiece of the hotel with views of the mountains and set amongst a beautiful garden space. The reception staff are absolutely delightful and a simple free breakfast of tea and toast was welcomed. The regular free shuttle bus that takes you into the centre is also very helpful, so I would use this to get into town and always walk back to get some exercise. It would take me 20 minutes and was no problem, although a small hill to navigate if this would be a problem for you. I personally liked that is was not in the centre of town, being quiet and relaxed. I would stay here again.

It surprises me that such a lovely pool would have awful sun-beds. There is only a small selection of hard wooden, uncomfortable “beds” some of which have missing slats. I know it has been mentioned several times before that the sunbed situation isn’t good, and I am surprised the owner has invested in something much better as yet. It does let the property down when it has so much to offer.

Our first adventure in Thailand. It was a great experience in Ao Nang.. There are many attractions. The hotel was literally in the jungle with a lot of vegetation and silence, which we were looking for after the hectic life in Bangkok. Starting the day with coffee and cookies is the best solution.. The people at the hotel were very nice and even helped us with allergy medication.. The pool was clean, the water was warm but with few sunbeds.. The time spent there was wonderful.. Transportation to the city center is provided by the hotel but the return is by TukTuk. There are many good places to eat nearby that are cheap.

Very nice bungalows, friendly staff, and amazing view from the pool area. Free bus to town centre 5 times a day and simple breakfast included. All positive, no complaints.

Stunning place, huge room. Authentic Thai decor. The mountainous backdrop to the pool is exceptional. Rooms a tiny bit outdated, depends how fussy you are but for us was perfect with minor imperfections. Short walk in to the main town, about 15 minutes, again depends how much walking etc you want to do but for us a nice walk out. Depending on how far round the town of Ao Nang you venture, you may want to tuk tuk back for a small fee. Lots of tuk tuks available and everyone aware where the hotel is. Also, definitely visit Railay if you are staying in Ao Nang.

We were told someone was at reception all night (which was true) but there was a stocked fridge in reception with water, juice, beers etc. However, at night the fridge is locked and the night guard doesn’t have a key. We came back one night and would have loved to enjoy a nice cold beer on the porch of our room but the night guard could not open the padlocked fridge. Had we of known it was locked at night we would have carried some beers home.

Fantastic quiet location with stunning view overlooking the the cliff and lots of tropical greenery around. It's less than 10 minutes walk from the main street with all the food markets, shops or massage parlours plus hotel offers free shuttle service several times a day. The villas are enormous and have fantastic stylish bathroom. It's great if you want to relax and stay away from the hustle of the town but still stay close enough if you feel like having fun or want to have some local food or want to go shopping. Swimming pool Is clean and as far as we could say there is no closing time so you can have a dip at night. The staff is friendly, always smiling and helpful. You can also arrange scooter rental, taxis or other trips at a reception plus they sell some refreshments there too.

The common areas are quite outaded and could use a little renewal and they're lacking of breakfast options which would definitely land the hotel 9/10 score.

Oh my gosh, what can I say! The pool and views here were honestly one of the highlights of our trip. It is absolutely stunning! Ao Nang is very touristy and at first I was wondering if we had picked the right place for us to stay and then the transfer turned onto the road to the hotel and it was like a completely different experience. Right out in the country, by the limestone cliffs! The room was also amazing and huge, especially the bathroom, which literally had a walk-around sink! Bed was very comfy too. Would be back in an instant and would highly recommend. For the price we paid about (2000 tbt per night) it was an absolute bargain!

There wasn't a restaurant or kitchen at the hotel, this wasn't a problem as loads of nearby cafes and restaurants and both Enjoy Thai Restaurant and Caesars Pizzeria were both fantastic!

I had a lovely stay at Aonang Phu Petra Resort—the tranquil setting and mountain views were truly relaxing, and the staff were warm and accommodating throughout my visit. However, I did notice some room for improvement in hygiene. On the first night, I received towels that had an unpleasant smell, and the mosquito net could have been cleaner. With a bit more attention to linen freshness and cleanliness, the experience would have been even better. Still, the resort has great potential and offers a peaceful retreat.

Room and bathroom are huge, super spacious. On the basic side but comfortable. The view from the pool is sooo beautiful. We had a full day of rain and just stayed by the pool the whole day and loved it.

Nothing really, if they invested a little bit in the pool area and a few details in the rooms that could be a 4* hotel - adding more comfy furniture in the deck by the pools, a few outside sofas and tables to make it more inviting and comfortable. Be aware it's a little bit further from the main center, which we didn't mind, we had a walk to the main street (10min to get there, and another 15 to get down to the beach/more busy area) and they also have a shuttle that drops you off by the beach at certain hours of the day (but they don't do pick up)
