We took the shuttle from Krabi Airport which was very convient. The Glur Hostel is a little paradise. It is full with plants and bushes and you feel like you are within nature. The staff is very kind and helpful. We were a bit confused by people writing in the reviews that the hostel is "outside of the center". There is not really a center. It's a long street down to the beach so basically all of Ao Nang is "the center". And it is really NOT far to walk, maybe 20 minutes down to the beach. You can always take a TukTuk. You will be very grateful that it is a "bit outside" when you walk down the street at nighttime. It is really loud because of people partying and so on, which you don't notice at all at Glur. It is quiet and nature-based. If you are more into partying, I'd maybe suggest a place on the main road. For VEGANS travelling: There is a vegan place like 5 minutes away from the hostel!!! It saved our life during our trip as there are not many vegan options.

It's a very good place. First time I saw such great ergonomy in the case of the upper bunks. There is literally a little floor with a small closet, enough space to put even a big luggage. If necessary you can lock it. Everything is clean, the area is stunning with tropical trees and the view to the rocks. It is far away from the main street to have a chill stay. The open area is also nice. I met good people there and I believe it is the first choice of the people who want to explore or chill, not partying. The restaurant near the hostel is also nice. They have nice pizza. It is quite pricey in the case of Thai standards but definitely with the price they also provide good quality. Swimming pool works. Aircon is set on the normal level. It is possible to make a laundry at the hostel which is also very nice (cheaper than in any place outside, the drying section is big enough for some laundries). They have even kind of kitchen. Tea, coffe fresh water is provided for free. I liked this place and I would like to stay in places which provided such quality more often.

The dorms were very nice: clean, good aircon, plenty of space to put your stuff, small windows (not always present in hostels). The common area is very chill with hammocks, games, a guitar, a ping pong table and a view of the garden which has a very charming jungly vibe to it. There is a very basic free breakfast consisting of toast, butter, and jam which is also nice, also drinking water to refill bottles. There is a kitchen available to prepare your own meals which we used to upgrade the free breakfast with some eggs & bacon :) it is also possible to wash & dry laundry yourself. The location is good, it's away from all the noise of the centre (except the mosque) but still walking distance to the beach. Improvement points are that the place is a but run down, but fortunately not in a cumbersome way. The showers were not very clean though, with big clumps of hair in 3 of them, and no place to put your stuff or to hang your towel. It would also be fun if there were activities organized to connect with other backpackers, like drinks or games night or something, like many other hostels do. But all in all I don't regret staying here and it was definitely good value for money!

I loved the big garden and Chill out /workspace , away from all the tourist craziness of Ao Nang, but close enough to walk to. The bed space was huge, I’ve never seen anything like this! You had your own private space for your bags, a huge locker , bedlight and mirror, super luxurious feel. Staff is really friendly (I asked for a new blanket twice and got it) and there is a lovely very tasty pizza place attached to the hostel (try the focaccia with burrata!).

The bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit more often and it would have been nice if there were more stretchers /comfy seats with pillows by the pool.

Fantastic location if you want to be away from the house and chaos, easy walking distance to the beach and lots of nice restaurants very near. Including Glurs own pizza place which was the best pizza we had in Thailand. The private rooms each have a hammock which is a lovely way to relax and the pool is very nice.

The private rooms are a little open to the outside with gaps in the doors. This meant there were more mosquitos in the room than we had had in other places. We stayed here a second time though so it clearly didn't put us off.

The bunk was so spacious. It was like having a little room curtained off to yourself with a small closet and floor space within your curtained bunk to keep your things. The best bunk space I've had in a hostel. I liked the common areas with hammocks and desks where you can do work. There's an exercise area with simple equipment and space for yoga. The toast and coffee were a nice touch too. It was away from all the loud chaos of ao nang, but close enough to walk over if you're seeking it. Good food nearby too!

Glur Hostel was amazing...we wanted a backpacker hostel for our family of 4 (2xteens) without the party vibe. Glur Hostel definitely ticked that box. The chilled out tropical surroundings were amazing, the pool and rooftop gym great and the communal kitchen was great The double and triple rooms were comfy, spacious for Thai standards and good bathrooms too. The aircon was perfect for the hot sticky days. The hammock was a nice touch outside the room too and there was even a laundry and plenty of drying space. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Glur was far enough out of town to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk into town (about 20 minutes) and a cheap tuktuk ride back if too tired to walk up the hill. 7/11, juice bars, roti stalls and massage shop all within 5 minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again

- The beds were super spacious with basically your own closet and an almost full size mirror. - Enough showers and toilets that felt clean (showers could use some more hooks). - Common area was nice with a lot of space to sit and work and it had a pool. - Towel was included. - Bread with jam and butter, drinking water and tea/coffee was available all day.

- Wifi in the room wasn’t great (basically non existent). In the common area it was absolutely fine though.

I loved everything about this hostel. The room and beds are very big and practical. The mattress is big you have your own cupboard and mirror, the privacy curtains are doings a good job. You don’t feel the other person upstairs moving. The location is perfect in my opinion, You are 20min walking from the beach which allow you to be outside of all the noise and tourists. But you have all amenities you need in the same street, 2 bike rentals, 1 laundry, bars and restaurants. The pool is the cherry on the cake, really good for refreshing after a long day and the view with the trees and mountains are just so relaxing. The common area is all new and decorated in a chill atmosphere. Can only recommend !

This hostel is simple but soooo gorgeous outside! You feel immersed in the jungle, yet everything's within easy reach. Loved the hammock right outside our room and the lounge. Both were spacious and fantastic to work from. Great WiFi! The pizza place next door was also great and we could make coffee at the kitchen. Great value for money, removed from the craziness of Ao Nang - a beautiful walk away.

Especially for that price, it was perfect!
