I was amazed by the way they treated us. Unfortunately I got sick during my stay at the resort. But I felt like I was at home surrounded by the members of the family. From the boss,to the reception lady,to the people who work in the kitchen,everybody was there to do whatever they could in order to make things easier for me. I can't say enough thanks to all of them. Thai people stole my heart.

First off, if you want hotel staff to speak and understand English perfectly, and you don’t like Thai food for breakfast, you might want to reconsider coming to Thailand altogether, because those expectations are unrealistic. My review should be viewed through that lens: The photos of this resort do not do it justice. The sprawling cliffs right above your head are unreal. Our actual villa was immaculate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and they always made sure we had everything we needed at the best possible price. They were a one-stop shop for all of our touristy desires! The customer service was unmatched anywhere else we went in Thailand, which already has a very high standard for customer service. The free breakfast options were delicious, and it was more than enough to keep us full and happy :). They also offered a few a la carte options for a small charge (I recommend the French toast)! All in all, one of the best free hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had! As far as location goes, it is maybe a 5 minute drive to Ao Nang beach, and Vipa offers free, regularly scheduled shuttle service to the beach all day. They will also drop you at your preferred location along the beach. I should also note that there are several great restaurants and coffee shops about a block down the road from the resort, if you’re tired and don’t feel like riding into town for food or drinks. Like many other tourists we met, we stayed in Ao Nang and hung out at Railay and the surrounding islands during the day. The boat rides were quick, reasonably priced, and very easy to get at any time of day. If you want true beachfront property, this isn’t the place for you. I will say that I initially wanted that as well, but all of the hotels and resorts on the beach were more expensive than Vipa, and none held a candle to them, in terms of lodging quality and amenities. We went to the beach every day we were there, and I didn’t regret the choice of location for one second.

Amazing location situated just below the beautiful cliffs in Ao Nang. We were greeted by the loveliest host who promptly checked us in and had us escorted to our bungalow. Throughout our stay she was extremely enthusiastic and always went above and beyond to answer our queries. She handled our excursions and gave us great local knowledge and tips. She really was one of the highlights of our stay at Vipa. Our bungalow was clean, contained all the essentials required for our stay and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was very effective and the netting was essential to keep the mosquitoes at bay. The property was beautiful and extremely well kept. Staff could regularly be seen tending to the grounds and the tropical foliage. The location just on the edge of town meant it was lovely and quiet at all times of the day, while also not being too far from town and the local amenities. No vehicle traffic or drunken party goers stumbling home! The free shuttle bus service to and from the beach was a great touch and we took advantage of this on multiple occasions. We used the in-house laundry service which was very convenient and seemed to be a competitive price. Vipa was by far our favourite accommodation from our trip to Thailand and we will look back fondly on our moments sat on our balcony soaking up the tropical atmosphere. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Nothing major comes to mind. We had a brief moment where our air conditioning was unresponsive but a member of staff was able to fix this very quickly. We didn’t try the breakfast as it seemed a bit pricey but it seemed popular amongst other guests.

Our villa had two bedrooms and was huge. It was also at the base of a limestone cliff that was very scenic and in such a natural environment. It was located the furthermost from the reception and breakfast area and quite uphill but we didn't mind that. The courtesy transport to the beach was a great help to us and we usually just paid a tuk tuk to bring us back. The staff were extremely helpful to us.

would have liked the swimming pool to have been larger as it's quite small but that was a minor issue as there are such stunning beaches within reach.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Spacious and clean rooms. Well maintained garden that gives a holidays and relaxing feeling. Possibility of purchasing breakfast (we had a room without a breakfast). Loundry service at very good price and very quick (we had clothes returned the same day). Shuttle service to the beach a few times a day. A few good and highly rated restaurants on the same street, so you don't need to walk too far to eat well or have some evening cocktails.

Nothing major, I would still recommend this resort 100% despite the below: -Distance from the beach (which is also a positive fir people who don't like busy and noisy area). -Would be lovely to have a safe in the room. -Limited breakfast, which wasn't a problem for us, since we only ate there once during our short stay.

I highly recommend this resort! The location is beautiful & ideal - in a quiet area, but not too far from the busy, touristy Ao Nang. Our private cabin was very clean with AC and the breakfast was abundant. Our stay was made so special and memorable because of the outstanding customer service and care we received from the staff! Our room, the pool and the hotel property, was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, private, quiet, clean, with amazing views and lush landscaping. Our lovely and kind host spent time coaching us on our Thai language and did so much to make us feel welcomed and at home.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The grounds and the huts/cottages were extremely cute and spacious. We did not get the opportunity to hang out on the grounds as much as we would have liked, but everything was really well taken care of and the grounds and landscaping were so serene and beautiful. Helpful shuttle service to the beach.

I hate to mention anything because we loved the place so much but it is a good 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach. But again, they have a shuttle service to the beach, but it ends at around 10pm.

Great place with bungalows in a breathtaking jungle setting near the cliffs. Our room had ample space and we loved the balcony. The staff was super nice and efficient. The hot water in the shower gave out on our second night, and when we returned to our room the next afternoon the whole unit had been replaced.

The hotel is a little far from the beach if you're wanting to walk. However the hotel has a free shuttle at specific times and there's a variety of restaurants and shops really close by.

Beautiful surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff. Away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang. There’s an excellent free shuttle service supplied by the hotel several times a day which was perfect for nipping to the beach or shops. If you want a lift in between the times set it was 100 baht (£1.20) between 4 of us , which was excellent value. Resort short walk to restaurants or 20 mins walk to the beach. Accommodation spacious and very clean. Pool small but lovely. Very good value for money.

The gardens were amazing and the pool really pretty. Our chalet was private and spacious with a lovely balcony looking over the gardens and pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was about a half hour walk to the beach but they had regular shuttles and there were some lovely restaurants nearby to eat in. The breakfast was good.

No bedside lamps which meant I needed to use a headtorch to read in bed at night which was odd. We did ask but were told they were all being used in other rooms.
