The staff is extremely friendly. The pool is also awesome with the mountain view. Everything was always very clean. The location was also good, quiet and safe. Only for elderly people or people who struggle walking but don't want to be dependant of transportation, I would not recommend it; better to stay closer to the main road and the beach then. They do have a free shuttle to the beach at 12.30 and 14.00. We didn't try the hotel restaurant as there were so many external restaurants nearby, such as Koyoko at just a 2 min walk, which was so incredibly good and even cheap.

I found the hotel a little bit on the expensive side based on the location, but that's just my personal opinion. Otherwise no negative comments at all. Credits once again to the amazing staff!

We stayed for four nights and would definitely recommend Silver Orchid resort. We booked two rooms with a balcony for our family and loved staying here. The view from the rooms was amazing overlooking the pool and cliffs. A great place to sit and have a cold drink after a day out. The pool was fantastic. Very comfy and clean. Staff were wonderful, helpful and sorted out our washing. We felt it was good value for money. It is a 15 minute walk down to the beach which is a little walk back after a day out to the islands but meant the hotel was a quiet oasis away from the main drag through Ao Nang. Most excursions will pick you up from the hotel anyway. We didn’t eat at the hotel or book any trips with them so can’t comment on this.

One of the room showers had slightly low pressure but otherwise we couldn’t fault the resort for the price.

The hotel is in general nice, it is a 15 minutes walk to the beach along a street packed with restaurants. The breakfast is good with a good variety of options to choose from. The room was well-lit with a desk which is important for us since I worked in the evenings. The Internet connection was more or less stable. The bed was comfortable. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis.

At first we were given another room, a smaller one in spite of the fact that we paid for a superior double room. Then they agreed to change it and moved us immediately to superior room saying that it was especially for us like a bonus which was not true because we got exactly what we'd paid for. And that was what we could see in our booking information, both photos and the description.

The hotel was overall comfortable, clean and satisfactory. The initial room I was given was overlooking the empty parking lot across the road; a view that I rather not have. When I mentioned this and asked if they had alternatives, I was able to move to another room with a better view. The attitude and competence of the personnel makes a big difference, I think. In my case, the person working the reception (I believe her name is Chawinnut - sorry if I misspelled it) made a big difference in improving experience. Not only was she initially helpful in finding an alternate room (which made staying at the hotel so much more enjoyable), she also arranged to replace the kettle in the room (which was very old and kind of rusty). Finally, the day when I was stung by jellyfish, when I came to the hotel and asked for white vinegar (to help with the sting), she immediately procured it, even though the kitchen was closed. And she did all these with a kind smile and enthusiasm. Her helpful and competent attitude was remarkable and I think should be an example for others. The hotel has a right to be proud of having an exemplary staff like her. In terms of amenities, the pool is nice (if not very deep), with an incredible view of the rockface behind the hotel. You are also provided with towels to use.

Not much really. The hotel is a bit of a walking distance from the main strip and the beach; there is a shuttle but it only runs twice a day. I think that can definitely be improved. Not really the hotel's fault but rather a cultural issue; of the 4 days that I stayed in the hotel, the same bunch of Australians were always in the pool, drinking beer without pause and having jolly but quite loud conversations. If I had a pool-view room, I may have began feeling a bit annoyed by this. So, beware; the more expensive pool-view rooms may not be necessarily better.

Good value hotel, staff were professional and attentive. On site food is a bit lacking but the hotel is close enough ( 10 min walk ) to the main street with lots of options. Pool is nicely kept but for the number of rooms and its size often felt busy especially when a school trip stayed in the hotel. Overall I would definitely stay again and for the price it's an exactly option if you need to book and pay for multiple rooms as we did. Rooms are also very generous in size and the beds were comfortable.

Hotel had a local private function one of the 5 nights were there and the karaoke noise was inconsiderate. Hot water was intermitent though not really needed. Shuttle bus times are impractical and your made to feel they are doing you a favour. Should run hourly given location.

The check in was 2 pm although i requested a early check in since i checked out at 9 am the next day 2 pm is way too late since most flights arrive in the morning and as a guest i would like to freshen up and get on with my day

Wonderful staff, breakfast, facilities and location! Less than a 10 minute walk to the main strip of shops, restaurants, bars etc! They provide 2 shuttles per day to the beach otherwise it is a nice 20 minute walk along the main shopping strip. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, they even assisted me in calling a Thai medical clinic. The room was clean and spacious, the balcony view was incredible, we got upgraded to a pool and mountain view for free which was a bonus!

Pillows were a bit high and firm, not my fav but my friend who I was staying with thought they were great so that’s just personal preference

Location was great, off the main strip and walking distance to 11/1 road which is a great quieter part of town to eat and drink. AdJit restaurant/hotel, 2 mins from the hotel, was our go to for simple home cooked Thai food. Pool was big with a bar and food. The field next to the hotel was lovely and quiet and the view of the rock mountains from the pool facing bedrooms is lovely. Some staff are incredibly friendly and some are just miserable! Take your pick who to talk to!

The drains smell frequently, we stayed for a month. The hotel were very good at keeping the drains in our room as clean as possible. But you do need to get the fresh air your room by opening the front and back door for a while.

The reception and cleaning staff are very friendly; they gave us a welcome drink when we arrived and stored our luggage on the last day at no extra charge. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, which is great considering the usual hustle and bustle of Ao Nang. It has an incredible view, and the pool is very pleasant.

The breakfast is not very complete, with little variety of fruits, and the coffee is not great. The only good thing is that there is someone making omelets and scrambled eggs fresh on the spot. The staff working in the breakfast area are also not very friendly.

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always happy to help with anything we needed. The property itself is fantastic. The pool was lovely – the perfect place to relax and unwind. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, making us feel right at home. Plus, the location is ideal, making it easy to explore the area. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and would recommend this hotel to everyone!

The room wasn’t cleaned, only tidied so we felt the bathroom gathered a bit of sand in the shower after a few days. However it didn’t bother us so we didn’t ask for a clean. I wouldn’t let this affect the rating just a personal preference
