We enjoyed our stay at Monotel! The girls at reception are so friendly and always smiling and always said hello as you came in and out! There rooms are clean and comfortable and the balcony is great for chilling out and has a clothing rack to dry items! A short 10 mins walk to the beach and plenty of food options around the area! There’s also a laundromat right across the street!

Not an issue for us but if you have mobility issues then be mindful that this hotel does not have an elevator!

The room was very clean and comfortable with all basic necessities including a mini fridge. The location was good with a rather short walk to the beach or any of the restaurants. The shower was hot with great pressure. We were on the fourth floor and enjoyed the views of the limestone mountain and in the distance we could only just see the water. There was a refillable water station in reception. 711 and the laundromat right across the road was handy. The reception staff were not very chatty but did answer any questions we had.

The water in the toilet continued to run. Being on the fourth floor and no elevator was a bit tiring after a long day. Windows could’ve been cleaner to see the views better.

Nice and clean room, friendly staff, location 10 minutes from the beach and very close to multiple tour agencies, restaurants and shops. View from our room to the cliff at sunrise was very nice. Good value for money.

Would love to see a reading light or at least a light switch next to the bed and some form of barrier between shower and toilet. Some parts of the balcony were a bit dirtier the room itself. We didn't get any cleaning (but maybe they just forgot to give us the "please clean my room" tag because some other rooms had them hanging on the doorknob - I'm sure they would help if we had asked).

The property is situated in a great location of Ao Nang with plenty of restaurants, bars and beaches nearby. The room was spacious, clean and modern.

The TV in the room didn’t work, however we’ve found this is common throughout Thailand. The smell of the shower room after emptying the bath tub. Not much the hotel can do, but just something to be aware of! At the time of our stay, we did have some inconsiderate and noisy neighbours. Children being loud early hours and late at night, running up and down the hall way. You’d think the main road would be the problem, but it was more the guests!

I can warmly recommend the hotel to everyone. We stayed here for 5 nights over New Year's Eve 2023/24. As a small New Year's gift, each guest received a bag with various sweets and an invitation to dinner with the entire staff. I was very excited about this great surprise! In addition to the great staff, the hotel is very centrally located and is only a 10-minute walk from the beach. The rooms are very clean and would be cleaned daily upon request. Price performance is absolutely right at this hotel and I can only warmly recommend it to everyone!

Very nice room, big, clean and centrally located. Friendly staff. Water and coffee/tea in the room. Good value for money.

I had a room facing the street and it was a bit noisy. Unfortunately the other rooms were occupied. If you can, get a room facing the mountains!

The location is very good. If you’re muslim, it is located near to all muslim street restaurants. Walkable to mosque, muslim street foods. Lotus/watson can be walked around 15 mins. Near to 7e also. There are lots of booth shop offers for island package. You can survey all and compare. They sell breakfast and coffee at the lobby area. So good!

It would be great if it has a lift. Quite difficult if you come with more luggage.

The decorative and festive facade of the hostel is truly charming. What I find particularly appealing about my room is the presence of a sink outside the toilet, which adds to the room's coziness and overall comfort. Furthermore, the room is generously spacious and impeccably clean. The view from the balcony is undeniably breathtaking. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. If I have the opportunity to return someday, I would wholeheartedly choose to stay in the same room once again.

Food and coffee could be improved.

We had a street view room which was great for people watching. The room was spacious and clean, it had a really nice vibe and set up! Also, one of the receptionists was so lovely! So smiley and kind. A great location to yummy food spots too.

The only downside to the room being street view was the noise, but it wasn’t too bad.

Everything was good. Staff helpful and friendly. Next door to the Hotel is also a small shop where you can book the transfer to and from the Airport/Krabi/ whatever island you would like to visit. Restaurants and Supermarket very close. I would recommend to stay in the Monotel even with the small inconvenience with the water.

In the morning the water was not working, since I needed to leave early (leave at 7am) there was no staff at the reception to check the issue. I could have called them by phone but since it was no big problem for me I didn't. But Im sure they solved it quite fast.
