I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. We have a toddler and pram and was located on the 2nd floor, but with no lift had to carry the pram up and door a flight of stairs. The gym, although small and with limited equipment, was sufficient for a workout. The beach was conveniently located about a 10-minute walk away and provided beautiful sunsets 😍 The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, although it could get quite busy during peak times. The hotel had 2 pools, which was a nice feature, but they could improve by clearing the leaves from the surrounding trees around the pool area and providing more sun loungers. One of the highlights of my stay was the staff, who were extremely nice and helpful throughout my time at the hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider staying here again in the future.

This was our second stay in a deluxe bedroom and it was fabulous yet again. Staff are welcoming and ever friendly. The lower pool is our fav, with the swim up bar. Very relaxing with comfy sun beds and plenty of umbrellas. The Leaf is only just a short stroll from the action of khaolak, but is beautifully quiet. It's amazing value for money and we will hopefully return.

Didn't think the breakfast was as good as our first visit as the choice of hot food had diminished (pre covid). I loved the local dishes. Always a tasty noodle dish on offer and this wasn't always the case this time. The tray of ginger, spicy relishes & soy sauce wasn't always available either for some reason? During our 10 day stay this time, only once was a small piece of delicious banana cake provided at breakfast time. (Lots of croissants tho).

It was a little like a retirement village with mostly older couples baking their bodies to a crisp beside the pool all day whilst smoking cigarettes

As a family we loved the size of the hotel, it was small so didn't feel too busy. The staff were very helpful and attentive during our stay. The pools were lovely, we had read reviews stating older guests didn't appreciate children making noise around the pool(s) but we didn't experience this. Very good value for money in a great location.

The only negative would be the hotel could do with a tidy up, the grounds were kept clean and well maintained, however, for example, the cleaning trolley for the rooms was left in the corridor each day/evening, and old towels were being used to cover wires which run across hallways and passageways. Very minor negative and didn't take away from the positives.

Everything. This was our 5th time in Khao Lak. We had stayed at a sister hotel nearby before but now its more suited to families with children. This was our 2nd stay as we loved it so much last year. We are older and enjoyed the tranquillity of the Leaf and It was lovely to see many staff from our previous stay still smiling all the time. The whole place is so tranquil and peaceful and great value for money. The staff were always able to find a way to sort any request we had. Mattress too hard - mattress topper - tick. Rooms together tick. Late checkout -tick. Pastries at breakfast done - more arrive tick. The list could go on. All the staff are so smiley when they greet you. We ate in the restaurant twice and the service was excellent

Some of the furniture in the villas could do with updating (but spotless). A bar would have been nice in the evenings. The pool bar was lovely (thanks Pai for our excellent Gin Fizz cocktails at Happy Hour). Some of the sunbeds needed the mesh covers replacing as they were beginning to sag and the metal underneath was not comfy

Our room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the facility was great for families. Really nice & quiet at night, beautiful grounds, and really nice staff. One of the most generous, delicious included breakfasts we've ever experienced traveling with lots of Thai & western options & beautiful fresh fruit. The swim-up bar was really fun, and Pai our bartender was so sweet, just amazing. Great massages. Nice easy 10 minute walk to the beach, although the beach directly in front of the oceanfront resort has lots of rocks so it isn't great for swimming, walk further up or down the shoreline. Would have liked a bit of a larger room for myself, my husband & teen son, but with the rates at such a great value I would book 2 rooms next time. Really loved this place!

Chalet rooms are brilliant. We had a fantastic view from the room and easy access to the upper pool. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Excellent on-suite bathroom.

Internet was rather slow but consistently so. The breakfast was perfectly adequate but not the best we have experienced in Thailand. Range of fresh fruits very good but we are not fans of processed meat and sausages. Rice and Thai curries were usually good. The reservation of sunbeds around the upper pool by the placement of towels, as early as 06,30 (our experience), should be outlawed with a simple philosophy that you access the beds on a first come first served basis when you actually want to use the bed,

Nothing not to like

Beautiful hotel, with incredibly attentive staff. Without us even asking, they gave us a room just by the pool, so it would be comfortable for our kids to enjoy! They also provided a baby cot with a pink covers as they understood we have a baby girl, who was obviously so happy! The breakfast is great and an Italian restaurant that is within the hotel has a delicious spaghetti alle vongole and pizza. If we ever come back to Khao Lak, we know where we will be staying! Great location also for a walk with a lot of shops and restaurants around; beautiful beach instead is not even 10min walk.

Not something that is dependent on hotel, but probably to bear in mind: in this area of Thailand we experienced a lot of mosquitoes, nevertheless in the days we were staying there was organised spraying around.

Great location( just off the Main Street) very clean comfortable chateau( made up daily) free water daily, private balcony, great air conditioning ( not noisy) 2 good size pools( not overcrowded) free beach towels, great breakfast included, fabulous & delicious Italian restaurant with wood fired pizza( it you need a night off from delicious Thai food) room service from the restaurant👌
