Welcoming friendly staff who are alert and prompt to requests, like the room cleaning service and restaurant service. Hearty Asian and western breakfast. Good location - close to eateries and beach. The well maintained garden is an attractive pit stop for various kinds of birds if you are a bird watcher. The list of birds I have spotted and taken photos in the garden includes the Eurasian Hoopoes, the Chestnut headed bee eater, the Coppersmith Barbet and the usual Mynas, European Tree Sparrow, yellow vented bulbul and the occasional Oriental Magpie Robin. Also heard but not easy to see is the red eyed Coulcal.

My wife and I rested at your hotel October 10-22, 2023, room No. 7494. We have previously vacationed in Khao Lak several times, in different hotels, and we can say with confidence that “The Leaf Oceanside by Katathani Resort” is a wonderful hotel, one of the best we have ever visited! Our impressions: Rooms: large, clean, equipped with everything you need (TV, refrigerator, air conditioning). The air conditioning worked great, no noise. We had a huge balcony overlooking the garden and pool. Large clean bathroom. Service: Every day room cleaning, replenishment of bottled water, tea and coffee. Bed linen is changed frequently. Every day replenishment of shampoo and shower gel, toilet paper, change of towels. Territory: large, well-groomed. Beautiful green lawns. Lots of palms and tropical trees. In the evening, treat the area against mosquitoes. Two swimming pools with fountains, sun loungers and umbrellas. The houses and grounds are quiet, calm and comfortable. Breakfast: served in the restaurant from 06:00 to 10:00. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, with many European and Asian dishes. Fruits, juices. Staff: beyond praise! The staff is very friendly, very responsive, very professional! They helped me find a bouquet of flowers for my wife's birthday. Thanks a lot, everyone! Location from the center of the village – 600-700 meters. Restaurants, shops, massage parlors - all within walking distance. Beach: 150-200 meters to Nang Thong Beach. Excellent sandy beach with a gentle slope. Palm trees, magnolias, cassowary trees on the shore. A lighthouse in the sea diversifies the landscape. This beach is influenced by the tides. Deeper beaches are located 1-1.5 km to the right and left of Nang Thong Beach. Vacation impression: EXCELLENT! Our rating: 5 points out of 5! Not intimity in the rooms near the other building, too close, we could see the neighbour all the time, so we keeped our courtains always closed

This was our second time staying at The Leaf and we once again experienced a great stay. The staff are extremely friendly, location is perfect for us in-between the main street and beach. We've stayed at a number of hotels in Khao Lak and for value for money The Leaf can't be beaten. Breakfast, rooms and comfort of beds all great value. Thanks for another great stay The Leaf.

Not much, it's a great value hotel. A few more breakfast options (granola and more fruit) and perhaps more enticing promotions for the bar/restaurant in evenings.

Nice gardens. Great location. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Coin laundry on site. Handy gym.

The palm villa must be nearly 20 years old now and is in need of some renovations. The roller door on the balcony kept coming off the rails. There is a large window on rollers in the bathroom and it had a large gap that allowed bugs to get in and was not lockable. I managed to secure it with a wedge. There is no hot water in the hand basin. The first nights there the aircon was so load and would cut out off and on. When it came back on with a load roar it would wake us up again. We asked to be moved due to the noise but the maintenance guys managed to stop the on off part but it was still as load as a farm tractor. There is no movie channel just local TV.

Brilliant holiday, very happy to be able to show our son and grandchildren such a lovely resort. Perfect place for the " young at heart", young families or couples. Close to everything, great restaurant, easy taxis and tours. Terrific pools, lovely gardens,but like everywhere, mozzie spray is a must. The buffet breakfast covers all tastes and diets, including kids. The staff are all beautiful people, only too happy to assist your every need. The location is about 50 mins outside Phuket, but the resort offers transfers or there are heaps of taxis available. Light clothing essential as it is very humid,but cooling off in the sea or pool takes care of that. The room air-conditioning is essential and brilliant.

Although there are plenty of sunbeds, there was the time old adage of people putting towels on sunbeds to reserve them and not being on them for hours, despite there being signs up asking residents not to do this, the hotel didn't do anything about this, and could have done more to stop this, understand that's its a difficult thing for the hotel to police, but it needs to be done for the sake of other guests. Breakfast was good but there could have been more variety, and I do feel that they should have stopped people coming into the food serving and eating areas who only had shorts on, it was only 3 or 4 people, but still nobody wants to see and be sat next to sweaty half naked people whilst they are getting and eating their food.

Good hotel with beautiful clean territory and helpful staff, the cleaning was carried out every day, breakfast every day is almost the same but very good, there is good coffee machine; bed, mattress and pillow were comfortable, 2 pools, sun bed # is enough for everybody, free beach towels, there are washing machine and dryer on the territory, 50 bath each. Beach is 3-5 min to go, beautiful lighthouse in front of.

Excellent value for money. Location was great, only a short stroll to beach and 10 min walk to main road with shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. The Thai food at the restaurant was excellent for dinner. Pool was nice and the smoothies were excellent, especially by the pool.

Temperature in both pools was too high. This should be much cooler. Staff were very friendly but English communication was a challenge at times. There was far too much noise with maintenance, renovations, gardening etc during the day. Guests should be able to enjoy some peace and quiet during the day and not constant machinery in operation.

Gardens immaculate and spacious, plenty of sunbeds, low rise buildings, spacious room with large balcony. 2 mins walk to beach, very helpful front desk and housekeeping staff. Peaceful atmosphere. Lots of eating places within a short walk on well lit streets.

Restaurant extremely slow service for evening meals and in our opinion some staff needed more training and supervision to provide a more professional service. Breakfast options could be more varied in western food options and black tea wasn't always available.
