Soooo much to love about this place. I loved having breakfast by the sea every morning—with a nice selection of foods! We also loved the surf shop (Low Tide) located behind the hotel, which allowed us to surf almost everyday. **note that it’s only recommended to surf during low tide. The bed was SO comfortable—probably the best we’ve experienced so far in Thailand. The staff were so kind and always with a smile. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended a week! Hopefully we can come back soon. P.S. book the sea view room, very much worth it, even if you can’t “see” that much of the sea.

Our family was very happy to stay here. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. When we checked in and out we were greeted by 2 lovely ladies. Apple and Aom. They spoke very politely. Rooms are very comfortable. We were able to have 2 adjoining rooms with an open door in between. Wonderful pool and easy access to the beautiful beach. The area also has many places to eat, shop and get massages. Very safe area. My family went for a walk every evening. Very easy walk to the main road that has many more shops and activitie Breakfast was wonderful. You sit outside and enjoy the beach view and breeze. All the staff were very hard working and polite.

Our first day we had some trouble in one of our rooms. Everything in the room was a bit damp and had a mold smell. But when we shared with the staff, they were very quick to move us to another room. Hopefully they will be able to correct the problem.

Excellent location, great staff, fantastic breakfast included, beach and pool towels provided. They gave us a slightly later checkout even tho they were fully booked. Good value for money! Great beach in front and walking distance to restaurants, shops, 7 Eleven etc. staff always happy to assist as much as they can.

It’s a little run down. The first room we were in had a lot of mosquitoes on the balcony and in the room making it very uncomfortable. Understand that this is the tropics but nowhere else we stayed had this level of a mosquito problem. The staff kindly changed our room but this new room had water coming into the room thru the electrical socket when it rained. Also the shower glass needs resealing as it flooded the bathroom floor whenever we had a shower.

Big and spacious room with comfortable bed and big bathroom. Their branding details are cute and well thought of. There are drinking water stations in every floor and glass bottles are provided so you can get as much water as you want for free, great solution to avoid the use of so many plastic bottles. The beach is a short walk away, however it was raining during our stay and we couldn't enjoy much of it or the swimming pool (monsoon season- early June). There's a mini-mart right outside the hotel with the essentials, comes handy since there aren't many stores/restaurants nearby. Very quiet and peaceful place with few people

It was quite humid and moldy, the room smelled of mildew and nothing dries, of course the contrast rain didn't help... The location isn't THAT great, you need a car or take a grab to go to the main area. There isn't much to do, we stayed here as a half-way point to Khao Sok (looking back, we could've gone directly to Khao Sok)

I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to the hotel staff — Khun Dexter and Khun Toeng. We rented a room in the hotel for our friend as a birthday gift. Before our friend moved in, I asked the staff to decorate the room — but they went above and beyond. First, Khun Dexter and Khun Toeng surprised our friend at the reception with a birthday cake 🎂. Then, they beautifully decorated the room with balloons and a “Happy Birthday” banner. We were all amazed by their efforts. Khun Dexter and Khun Toeng helped us create a truly wonderful gift. Khun Dexter and Khun Toeng — thank you so much! 🙏🏼 As for the hotel itself, it’s a lovely place located near the sea, with a delicious breakfast.

It was our 2nd time at Kokotel, first time we were with the kids in 2022. And I can honestly say things have improved and our stay was wonderful. I do not understand why some reviews argue about the quality of breakfast, cannot see what could be improved there as they have what you find in 90% of hotels. The rooms are clean, the ladies come and clean them everyday. The staff is amazing - thank you Nan for being such a nice person and making our kids feel great! The hotel is right on the beach - which is actually very clean compared to the one next to it, for kids it is an ideal location. You are walking distance from a number of very good restaurants and shops. Perhaps not all rooms are great but for us both this time and two years ago we had very good and comfortable rooms. So we truly recommend this hotel, especially given its price range.

Direct access to the beach. Although the restaurant was separate from the main hotel, it was very nice to eat breakfast with a view of the ocean. We chose a room with direct access to the pool which was very convenient. The staff were friendly.

Although the hotel was close to the beach, it was quite a walk to the shops and main road. One of my reasons for choosing this place was the polished concrete finish in the room but my partner did not like it. Not to everyone's taste. The chlorine level in the pool was excessive.

The staff were extremely helpful. The hotel is a nice size so it never felt busy. Most of the time we were the only people in the pool. The hotel is so close to the beach as well, with a surf shop next door where you could rent surf boards and body boards.

The only thing was our swimming costumes were all stained from the pool, we didn't have this at any of the other hotels we stayed at (7 different places on our trip). But there is something in the water that stained them yellow.

Firstly the staff were faultless - so happy to help and they sorted me out aa very early taxi when I had to leave with no fuss. They were all so lovely, always smiling and wanting to help. A stone's throw from the beach, a simple but tasty breakfast buffet. The water filling stations are genius - I saved a lot of money on not buying bottled water every day. I got upgraded for free to one of the family rooms which allowed me ground-floor access to sunbathe which I was so grateful for and not expecting, thank you! Rooms were clean and huge , beds soooooo comfy. Second time Ive been here and will definitely come back.

Literally nothing

I like that this hotel is trying to be more environmentally friendly with recycle bins, water dispensers instead of plastic bottles etc. I think more hotels should do the same. The room was large, comfortable and cleaned well every day. Internet worked well & there was a good choice of TV channels & smart TV apps. Location is good, right on the beach with a surf spot out front & you can hire boards if you are lucky enough to get waves.

Breakfast was okay, nothing special with some odd choices of food. Air conditioning was a bit noisy.
