A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Sukhumvit Ariyasom Villa was the peaceful oasis I didn’t know I needed until I arrived. After days filled with street trekking, temple visits, and mall hopping, this lush green villa tucked away in the middle of bustling Sukhumvit offered the perfect retreat—a much-needed pause before heading home. We received a warm lovely welcome letter with a basket of fresh fruits, plus smiles and kindness from the staff - very fitting as our room was named, "Metta", which means kindness in Thai. Despite being in the heart of the city, the property feels worlds away with its tranquil gardens, charming architecture, and serene atmosphere. The presence of friendly cats wandering around added warmth and character, and the staff were nothing but smiles—genuinely kind, helpful, and attentive. I indulged in an amazing massage that left me completely relaxed and recharged—just what I needed after an activity-packed vacation. The breakfast was another highlight: fresh-cut fruits, vibrant juices, your choice of a hot meal, and a breakfast beverage, all beautifully prepared and served in a calming setting. The location is also very convenient. It's about a 20+ minute walk to Terminal 21, and if you're up for a bit more walking, an additional 15 minutes will take you to Emsphere, Emporium, and Benchasiri Park. It’s close enough to the action while still offering a peaceful escape. If you’re looking for a quiet, soulful place to unwind in Bangkok, Ariyasom Villa is a rare gem. I’m so grateful I found it—and I already can’t wait to return.

Loved this hotel, it’s a pretty oasis in the middle of the madness of Bangkok. Lush green plants, birdsong, beautiful pool and authentic buildings. The staff were pleasant and accommodating and the vegetarian dinner and breakfast delicious. Well connected with the train, local boat, taxis and tuk tuks. Getting around Bangkok is cheap and easy so don’t let the location put you off.

Our room was a bit dark and the bathroom needed renovating. Rooms in the newer part of the hotel with balconies are probably nicer. If you want pristine, clean white facilities this probably isn’t the hotel for you, it’s more authentic and rustic.

If you are thinking about booking Ariyasom Villa, do it! It is a tranquil oasis, utterly beautiful and a true respite from the city. It has great sky train links just a 10 min walk away making it a great jumping off point for the city. The vila is lush and green, and peaceful, and so many little thinks like candles lit at night make it truly magical. Our room was a garden room, and we felt surrounded by bird song and honestly it was a dream (as at times the city can feel overwhelming) - the ariyasom villa is a the perfect antidoe. I would stay here again in a heart beat. The staff could not be nicer, the food excellent and the room quiet, cool and comfortable. I would 100% recommend this as THE place to stay in Bangkok. It was beautiful and traditional Thai experience i wanted in visiting Bangkok . I felt like I had traveled in time and was in a set of a movie I didn’t know existed. With a delicious organic, vegan & vegetarian menu, I can’t ask for more! I also loved the traditional Thai massage in the upstairs outdoor porch, I got 2 of them. The staff was super friendly, and made me feel like I was the guest of honor in the hotel. Thank you so much.

I had such a beautiful and soul-soothing stay at Ariyasom Villa. The location is incredibly convenient—tucked away in a peaceful spot, yet so close to Central World and other malls if you don't mind long walks (some as near as 15 mins to 30 mins +), nearby parks, and a collection of charming cafés. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. The staff were genuinely lovely, always greeting me with kindness and making me feel at ease. The villa I stayed in was spacious and thoughtfully designed. It had a cozy sitting area, a generous wardrobe, and a fridge stocked with complimentary water, fresh juices, and milk for tea or coffee—such a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was a standout: double sinks, a separate shower and bath, and a layout that was both luxurious and beautifully aligned with Thai cultural architecture. One detail I’ll never forget: the incredible pandan-scented body lotion they provided. It smelled divine—so much so that I ended up buying two bottles to take home. It was such a sensory delight. Due to a flight change, I extended my stay by an extra night, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and reset after a stressful travel hiccup. That extra night of calm and comfort was just what I needed. And finally, I absolutely adored the cats that roam the property—they added such a sweet, homely charm to the entire experience. If you're looking for a stay that combines comfort, culture, and heartfelt hospitality, I couldn't recommend Ariyasom Villa more.

The pool and the rooms (and the house cats)

This was my third time staying at Ariyasom, but this was the first time a couple of the staff were surly. It usually has lovely staff. Service was inconsistent - no welcome drink when I arrived, yet others got that. After my massage last year, I was offered tea.. this time no. And there was an issue with the room booking - I'd booked a room with a balcony, yet the room I got did not have a balcony. This was sorted out but not without me having to show the (surly) staff that I had indeed booked a room with a balcony. The bedrooms are still lovely but not enough or awkwardly placed sockets and showing a bit of wear and tear. I'm not sure I will stay here again when next in bangkok . I stayed in 5 hotels off sukhumvit before staying at ariyasom, and they were all better and cheaper.

I particularly enjoyed the tranquil courtyard pool area, where I could relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel's proximity to local eateries and shopping streets was also a bonus, allowing me to sample the best of Bangkok's street food and shopping scene. Overall, I would highly recommend Ariyasom Villa to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in the heart of Bangkok
