The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is brilliant, only a few minutes walk from Khao San Road and Ram Buttri, 15 min walk to the palace and other major attractions. There are also cafes, restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk (on the opposite side of the river you can see markets making food!). Even though it’s close to everything, it’s not noisy and the rooms are quiet. The riverfront cafe/ bar within the hotel is a real treat, sitting having breakfast in the morning or beer in the evening. So relaxing and lovely to watch the world go by. After reading some reviews before staying I was concerned it would be hard to find but it’s literally on an alley off the main road. It did smell a little bit, however the whole city smells so it’s nothing unusual and certainly not a problem in the room. The room itself had complimentary water, a huge shower, mini fridge, pretty decoration and a small balcony. The breakfast was very tasty and the drinks very reasonably priced too. There’s a lift so no need to use the stairs. Highly recommend this place, if we visit Bangkok we’ll definitely book here again.

The bed was very firm which was quite uncomfortable.

Korbua was perfect for us. The location is amazing and the room was big and very clean and comfortable. They kept us stocked with water and were very friendly. The soi where it’s located has a great coffee shop and several cheap and delicious places to eat. We didn’t try the breakfast at the hotel because we always eat the street food. The only thing that could be improved on was the mattress that needs replaced but I would highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Great location, very close to Khaosan road and Phra Arthit #13 Pier - about 10 min walk to both. The room is nice, the shower is spacious and has a rain shower facility. It faced the canal and it was quiet at night. There is a little balcony there. The staff is great, smiling all the time and welcoming. Also, the Giant Ibis bus collection point is 1 min walk away. The hotel is easy to reach from Suvarnabhumi airport - just board the S1 bus, 6 stops and you are at Banglamphu stop, from which you walk for about 5 min to the hotel. All in all, we loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate staying here again.

Nice hotel by the canal, room was maybe smaller than it looked in the pictures but ok, comfortable, good shower and private balcony with interesting view. I thought khaosan road itself was pretty grim but if you walk 5mins north of the hotel it is nicer, calmer, good places to eat etc.. and the hotel is far enough away from khaosan so it is no bother. Good stay overall :)

There is a slight smell from the canal sometimes but it's not so bad, and the wildlife sort of makes up for it

Incredibly sweet staff, very affordable and great quality for the price! Stayed a week here and had 0 issues. The location is fantastic because it's very close to khaosan, but tucked away enough to not hear any of the noise. Felt a lot more personal and authentic than a chain hotel. I recommend!!

It wasn't an issue for me, but I know some people like very soft beds and the beds there are firmer. The firmer bed did not hurt my back at all though (even as someone who has a super soft bed at home). Don't knock it til you try it!

A solid mid-range hotel/hostel popular with travellers, located in a bustling & interesting old part of Bangkok - but quiet in the rooms + decent air-con. Helpful & friendly staff, who fortunately speak decent English. Manzana (?) very kindly sorted transport for us heading south, when the Grab taxi app failed us. Pleasant cafe/bar with a terrace overlooking canal - great for a coffee or cold beer, whilst watching fish & other wildlife in the canal. Decent breakfasts at around 150-200 Bhat. Foods available at other times too. Tourist info available + reception can sort transport to airports.

Only 1 lift for 5/6 floors, and it was too hot for the stairs! To be fair we never waited more than 30seconds for the lift ...

We stayed at Korbua House and really enjoyed the peaceful vibe. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The mattress was on the harder side, which seems to be common in Thailand. The location was perfect for us — not right in the chaos of Khaosan Road, but still within walking distance. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, the lovely river view from our room, and the cozy café downstairs.

the host didn’t allow early check-in, which was a bit inconvenient since we arrived 7:00 am in the morning. Still, overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

The location is fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly. They did their best to accommodate our needs. Genuinely nice people working in the hotel . I would 100% stay there during my next stay . Also another important thing to mention is the value that you get for this hotel , the price was amazing for the quality and location that we were getting. They also have a small restaurant downstairs.

There were only a few minor inconveniences, but once again for the price we booked the hotel . These are irrelevant.

Korbua is on a canal just 10 minutes walk from Khaosan road but feels miles away as it's tranquil and relaxed. We sat outside on the terrace for breakfast and drinks and loved every moment. The staff were wonderful and friendly, making us feel like friends. Breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced. Just over the bridge is a lovely area with lovely restaurants, which I wasn't aware of until we wandered over by accident.

It's not very easy getting into the centre of Bangkok by public transport but taxis are very cheap and buses are regular and incredibly cheap, just ask at reception.

My own research before booking g suggested that Korbua House was cheap and cheerful, which it was although it had everything I required. I wasn’t looking for five star accommodation and the price reflected this. It had everything I needed and the balcony view of the canal was a bonus. Yes, it had an aroma throughout the day as the canal carried water away from the streets after it had rained but sewage didn’t factor in this. I didn’t find it offensive, just noticeable. There was always comings and goings over the bridge of the canal and hundreds of catfish constantly surfacing for air and Asian Water Monitors were quite a spectacle as were the sounds of nearby birds. As a wildlife enthusiasts, this was another bonus. I found it fascinating to people watch.It was near to all of the main attractions and the places I wanted to see. Without exception, all of the staff were very polite and helpful. They answered all of my questions and nothing was too much trouble and always with a smile. Fresh towels and bed made everyday - I obviously didn’t make it to their standards! 🤣
