The location was absolutely fantastic and with Silom being my favourite district in Bangkok the Pan Pan hostel is situated perfectly. Free tea and coffee for guests is an added bonus in the reception area. The immediate area is full of nice cafes and convenience stores' and a 3 minute walk and you're onto Silom road. There are also easy connections on the MRT within walking distance at St.louis station.

Every day there is a huge pile of smelly rubbish at the entrance of the lane to Pan Pan hostel and there is also a very strong smell of cat urine in the area outside. Whilst the hostel does its best to accommodate all guests it needs to be clearly written in Chinese that you cannot do your laundry in the communal hand basins and wash dirty shoes in an area meant for personal hygiene! The drains in the shower room also smelt very strong in the morning.

The first trip to Asia and the first place was Bangkok. We chose the location where I want to live and then chose from the offer on Booking. We were looking for a quiet room with a view of the city and a private bathroom. We´ve got Family Room with Private Bathroom. Clean, simple, spacious and bright. Air conditioning was not a requirement, but a pleasant bonus. As well as a safe in the room. Both things became a requirement later in the search. PanPan Hostel was more than a pleasant surprise and fulfilled everything to the letter. Our room was on the top floor. It is true that there is no elevator and the stairs are quite steep, but the view was worth it. It is challenged already on the ground floor, and cleanliness and order reigned everywhere. Both owners were always helpful and it was great to talk to them as well as give advice on a planned trip, where to eat or other services (in my case, where to get my torn pants sewn up). A nice terrace on the top floor, a kitchenette and coffee or tea at the reception are also a bonus. A surprise was also the possibility to have a few pieces of clothing washed completely free of charge and you could wear them clean the next day. The shower was big enough and it's the only hostel where we found hygiene bags for used toilet paper. Great. I highly recommend and greet you from home.

Everything was more than ok.

The place is just a 6-minute walk from the train station and bus stop, with a 7-Eleven conveniently nearby. The owner and staff are very accommodating—they even let us freshen up after we already checked-out and provided a fresh towel. We also loved the free laundry service, which allows each guest to wash up to three pieces of clothing. When we return to Bangkok, we’ll definitely stay here again!

I just wish they would allow check-in as early as 6 AM.

Overall the room was comfortable and had a good location for a short stay in Bangkok. The hostel was super clean and had everything you needed. Shower was hot and powerful. Air con was perfect. 7 eleven across the road and other shops/restaurants nearby.

Shower fixture meant you had to hold the head otherwise it shot out across the bathroom. No lift which is fine but worth being aware of. No fridge in room but shared one downstairs.

Very cozy and homely. I could relax here. My room was spacious and bright. Had a fan and aircon. Shared bathrooms were fine, never had to wait to shower or use the toilet. I was meant to stay 4 days and stayed 3 more because I was comfortable and safe. Loved the hostel and would come back for sure. It's easy to take buses or bts from here but a longer walk to the metro. Hostel is in an alley and therefore quiet. I had very good nights of sleep. 3 pieces of laundry a day for free is a fantastic bonus!

No complaints

The hostel is very clean, and the room/bed was very comfortable. They provide coffee and tea free of charge. The location is alright, but it's not my favorite part of Bangkok.

We left our luggage for a few hours after check out. When we came back, there was nobody at the reception desk. We had to wait for the staff for about half an hour. Other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful.

It’s very homey, comfortable to be around. The staffs are really nice people. I liked the coziness overall. You can have free coffee and tea, free laundry up to 3 pcs a day.

Bit far away from the subway stations. But close to bus stations. Alley to the hotel is bit scary and lots of rats around. Room was dull and the lighting in the room was so bad.

The Hostel is neat and clean and is just 5 minutes walking distance from the main road. The hostel feels like an asian house where you remove your slippers and get insider and the entire building structure gives you a feeling of living in a joint family except that not many interact.

The living area is small and people were hardly available to interact. If you are looking to socialize during your time here then this hostel is not for you. The alley of the hostel looks shady and I din't really like the vibe of it initially, later I got used to it.

It is cute, in a small street. Everything is well thought and convenient. There is free laundry (3 pieces / day) + coffee and tea. There are buses around as well as a subway station. I used grab a lot of - cheap and convenient. Great massage place nearby: Busaba Bangrak

I could have used a mirror in the room.

For the price this place is great. Location is handy it’s just a short walk to train. There are lots of little restaurants nearby. You can get 3 items of clothing washed a day for free (so handy). Staff are nice. Rooms had A/C. All in all very happy with this stay.

When we arrived the bin in our allocated bathroom was full and stayed full for the next day. Just not very nice when you have to put toilet paper in these bins and it wasn’t our trash. Just hope the bathroom was cleaned well between guests. Again, minor thing and didn’t take away from the stay at all!
