I stayed at SO Zen Hotel Silom Bangkok and found it to be in a convenient location. It’s in the heart of Silom, close to One Bangkok, city parks, and many South Asian restaurants. The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, and the Marriott Surawongse are also nearby, making it easy to access different parts of the city. The hotel itself is quiet, and my room was clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and accommodating, even extending my checkout time when needed. There’s also a luggage storage service, which was useful after checking out. Overall, it was a good stay with a simple and comfortable experience.

I wish it could have been one more night

We stayed at 7 different places in Thailand and this bed was definitely the comfiest of the entire trip. The pillows were lovely and soft and the curtains were very good at keeping the light out. We had a queen suite, and we really enjoyed having the extra living area in addition to the bed. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best that we had on the entire trip. The location is good, the street is quiet but there are plenty of amenities nearby. The skytrain and river ferry are about 10 minutes walk and there are lots of local bus services just 2 minutes away.

The reception area was very hot which was a shame, because they have table football and ping pong but it was too hot to play either

Lovely and clean, comfortable, in a great location with a fantastic street food area nearby and close to several 7-11s and MRT/BTS. Felt very safe too. Staff were really friendly, we also absolutely loved the breakfast in the attached bistro! Overall, we would stay here again and are glad we chose this hotel.

The rooms were a little loud (with the sound of other rooms in the hotel rather than the street) - we heard people coming in and out of rooms quite a bit and people talking nearby so maybe not too soundproof. Also, there was no hand soap so we bought one to use (but there was shower gel and shampoo, but no conditioner)

The staff were great, they were super accommodating and really nice always happy to help if you had a question and very welcoming. The breakfast room was full and we were happy to come back later but they insisted on setting us up on the roof in the beautiful garden and bringing the breakfast up which was so kind. The food for breakfast was very good and the attendant in the car park was very lovely and cheerful. The room was big and clean and very comfortable it felt new. Ten minutes walk to the pier for the boats and 3 7/11s all 5 mins away was very convenient and having a bag storage room to use before you check in or when you check out with scales to weigh the luggage is helpful

I've got upgraded to a better room. The lady at the service desk was very helpful and I could store my bag before and after my stay. The room was specious and could see somewhat nice view, especially at night. Aircon was working perfectly. Bathroom had everything it needs. Some bottles of water in the fridge. 10-12 min walk from sky train. The breakfast was delicious. I recommend staying there and I would stay again.

Breakfast was a bit small, but luckily I got double vouchers for the double room (for 2 people). There was a smell of damp at first but with Aircon it was gone in a couple hours. I didn't smell it the days after. The pricelist for breaking stuff. I was scared to get the towel too dirty haha, but I understand where the hotel is coming from as some tourists can be very abnoxious and destroy stuff.

Incredibly friendly and truly helpful staff. Breakfast is nice, a la carte at their restaurant - I got the truffle omelet everyday. The location is good for catching a Grab car up North to Chatuchak, the MOCA, DMK airport etc because it’s near enough to a highway that seems immune to Bangkok traffic. There are 3 vegan restaurants within a block. Walking distance to downtown Silom and Chinatown, but itself tucked in a quiet cozy corner. I was skeptical about the location, but it was actually good for getting to a lot of things I wanted to do. While there’s no pool, gym or balconies, the game tables - foosball, pool, ping pong are pretty fun.

The neighborhood directly around doesn’t have a vibrant spirit, but that’s actually ok because it allows you to cleanse your palette after a day in BKK.

My partner and I stayed at SO Zen for two nights. Upon arrival, F.O.H was very friendly and efficient in explaining the necessities which we very much appreciated. The room was small but big enough for the two of us and very clean. Annoyingly, the bathroom floor was soaked every time we showered due to a missing shower door, ultimately making it a wet room. This didn't bother us a great deal however, I'm sure the cleaners didn't appreciate the soaking wet towels on the floor every single day! The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Silom and not so convenient for the main tourist spots, however we appreciated being out of the hustle and bustle for a good nights sleep. The nearest MRT is around a 15-20 minute walk away. Our stay included breakfast in a cafe connected to the hotel, also open to the public, but was quite a limited menu of around six different menu items of eggs prepared in different ways. It wasn't amazing but prepared us for a day of exploring the city.

Very cute new hotel. It’s located in the busy area of Silom but in a back street, so no car noise. One of the best sleep during our 1 month holiday - comfy beds, soft pillows that are just the right height. Price/value is great too. Do pay the few extra bucks to get the queen room as it’s much bigger, and the bed is big too.

Breakfast could be more variated. 6 option from which 5 are with eggs, and one is rice porridge. I love Thai food and if you have put something else on the menu would have taking that instead of eggs which is very repetitive after 2 days…

This hotel provides great value, especially compared to other hotels in the area. In fact, I liked it so much that I extended my two-night stay to a week and came back once more on my way out of Thailand. It's situated in a great location in Silom. Close to restaurants, cafes, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple/Wat Khaek, massages (go to Baan Thongkum on the corner, right up the street!), and other attractions. The hotel is right off the main road but is tucked away on a back soi, providing plenty of peace and quiet. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Shout out to Miguel, Popta, and the awesome Uncle, who will happily greet you and help with your bags! They are willing to help you with anything you need. Rooms are clean, bright, spacious, and complete with comfortable beds, air con, refrigerators, and more. I stayed in the double room and found it more than big enough for 1 person, perfect for 2 people. The cafe restaurant downstairs also serves great food and coffee — get the Es Yen/Thai style iced coffee and pad krapao. I will definitely stay here when I return to Bangkok.

Nice room, very clean amd modern, friendly and very helpful staff. Special mention to Pop who was so helpful with getting taxis and guiding them to the hotel as its a little hidden away. Location means its quiet, but still near all the places to go out.

It's a shame they don't offer a buffet style breakfast with fresh fruit. You can order an English style breakfast and coffee but similar hotels offer a nice buffet. I missed having nice bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, which many hotels offer that cater to foreigners. If you want a Thai style breakfast, it's fine though. I went to a nearby hotel I have stayed at before for breakfast on some mornings and they were happy to serve non residents.
