this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. from the beginning the staff were amazing & very attentive. the room itself was great. the bed was so comfy and is big. it was spacious the locker was a great size & there was a window space for chilling / reading. i stayed in a female dorm which was nice as the floor / shared bathrooms are for females only. they provide slippers for using within the room / bathroom. there are also areas around the hostel to work / chill which is nice. the area you are in is great and has so much around it. there is a 24 hour 7-11 next to it.

the only thing is that there is a 1000 baht deposit which is not stated before arrival

The place was good and convenient. Restaurants left and right, walk further and see more restaurants and convenient stores. Quite a busy street. The hotel is quiet, you'll get a good night's sleep. Clean and fresh linen. During breakfast, the staff will bring something new everyday.

The shower rooms are quite small, you'll have to squeeze yourself in. It is an inconvenience if you are not used to small spaces. The breakfast has also quite a few selections, just bread and butter, cereals.

The bed space setup is impressive. You have your own locker right by your bed and a small hidden table in your space, very smart! There is extra space to put your personal belongings in your space too! A bed comes with a towel, and there is free body soap and shampoo, super awesome! Breakfast is simple but for sure a bonus! Enjoy a lot staying here :)

The shared space in the room is quite small. Big size luggage might have some difficulty opening up or even just sitting in the room. I found the door of bathroom is hard to close, for both toilet and shower, wasn’t sure if it is designed unclosed(?). The sink in the bathroom is small, got my feet wet very easily whenever using it.

This is the 2rd time I've stayed at Speck. I keep coming back to it since it's simply the best hostel I've found in Bangkok. If you're early with booking, the price is also extremely good for what you get. The rooms are all great, with good storage options, privacy, and easy access to everything. The bed cabins are especially great, with chargers, lights, and storage all in the right places, and some of the better beds I've had in a hostel. It's all well thought through. The bathroom areas are all extremely clean, bsaically spotless all day. Very impressive.

The breakfast is comparatively on the simple side, but still totally adequate and better than most other hostels.

I have been staying here every time I am in Bangkok and this is my sixth day. And as usual I had a great stay. The staff immediately recognised me as a regular customer and attended to all my requests promptly. For instance, one night my pod's curtain rod fell off and they fixed it first thing in the morning the next day. The entire property is well maintained and clean all around. The housekeeping staff are very thorough and professional. Undoubtedly it is the best hostel for budget travelers like me. There are a number of places to hangout and party. Its close proximity to the metro station is by far the best thing about this hostel. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Bangkok.

Nice capsule with a comfortable bed. Plenty of room inside and included towel. Two nice areas to relax in or get some work done. Plenty of food options just outside the hostel.

The area is very touristic, which isn't what I was after. This isn't the hostels fault. There was no hot water on one or two occasions. Aircon was very cold always.

Everything! All the staff rich with smile and they give clear instruction. Nearby EmQuartier Mall within 5-6mins walking you will arrived at the mall.. Nearby BTS Phromphong too.. there is one 7 eleven but not many option of food since the store not that big. Surrounded by Japanese pub & restaurants i guess.. Overall satisfied and do except same menu for breakfast (They served white bread, cereal, 3 types of jam, butter, fresh milk) but for me its already good. Thank you so much highly recommend for solo traveller and would like to stay here again!

Perfect location in the heart of Bangkok, few steps walk from Phrom Phong station, Em Quartier mall, Benchasiri park, all essential stores are also super walkable. Speck attracts good backpacker tourist crowd which we love. The street right outside Speck is fun & lively. Exploring Bangkok from Speck was really an amazing experience, super memorable stay in Bangkok! Super clean hotel, prompt & professional staff, fast & good laundry service. Rooms are comfy & clean, all basics needs covered well.

Breakfast is good but a bit limited, specially for vegetarians - cereal, milk, toast, jams, butter, tea bags, coffee premixes. Laundry service is good but a bit expensive. We got charged a 400 baht deposit for 1-2 food stains on the bed, which felt a bit steep too.
