I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and the beautifully landscaped grounds, were top-notch and well-maintained. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a great variety of flavors to suit different tastes. As a big fan of fruit, I would have appreciated an even wider selection of fresh fruits. A special shout-out goes to both the breakfast and kitchen staff, who were always helpful and prepared a delicious omelet for me every morning. I am also especially grateful to the excellent and attentive receptionist, who kindly accommodated my request to change rooms due to an uncomfortable shower in the initial room. I hope that during my next stay at this hotel, I will have the chance to experience the comforts of the newer building. :-) One of the most delightful surprises was the welcome gift bag filled with various juices, drinks, and treats upon my arrival! It would have been even more special if it had featured local snacks like dried fruits, which are truly delicious in Thailand, instead of international candies. The location near the airport made my stay very convenient, yet the hotel remained quiet and relaxing. Additionally, the complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and back was a wonderful touch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and worry-free stay in Chiang Mai.

The family suite was incredible. It's the equivalent of three hotel rooms, high floor with incredible view, nice furniture, nice warm tone lighting throughout the suite, two bathrooms with Japanese toilets, three minibar fridges, three TVs. It was just really upscale. Sure, the hotel is not the newest and carpets in the hallways are a bit worn and elevators aren't the latest generation, but inside the suite, everything was top and the bathrooms seemed recently redone. Our family loved it. We arrived hours earlier than our check-in (like 9am instead of 2pm), and we could go into part of the suite right away while housekeeping worked on the other half. We also received two massive bags full of great snacks and drinks just as a welcome gift. The breakfast buffet was good, too. It had all the standard options with Western and Thai selections, egg station, etc. The Hotel is in walking distance to many good restaurants, both local and more touristy, night market, etc.

The hotel was fully booked while we were there and unfortunately some guests were not used to breakfast buffets and the dining hall looked a bit like a battle field at times and the staff couldn't keep up with cleaning. That's more a critique on the guests, though, and not on the hotel, the staff worked really hard.

The staff tried thier level best to make our stay comfortable. The welcome gift was a surprise. They sent a flowers to the room on our wedding anniversary which I appreciated. However a small cake or a bottle of wine would have really topped it all.

The Hotel kitchen closes by 9.45 pm So if you are hungry don't expect room service. The menu is so limited. The Lobny Bar is so quite that I didn't know it was there till the third day. I hope they could invest and improve the menu and make the Bar more exciting. The Swimimg Pool Bar was manned by Staffs that spoke very little English or non at all. The first day I was there I had to point out to the staff to clean some broken pieces of bottle. Luckily I did not step on this broken pieces of bottle which was just at The Pool Bar couch Overall despite this small hickups I will say it's worth a place to stay. Quite street but 10.min walk to the Night Market.

I would like to appreciate one of the staff, Mr Li for his excellent service n has made our stay much enjoyable with his approachable n friendly personality. Kudo to him n hope he will be recognised for his contribution to the service.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Chiang Mai! Upon arrival, I was surprised with a thoughtful bag of Christmas treats, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout my stay. Special thanks to Lang, who handled my changing stay dates with ease, and the cleaners who accommodated evening requests perfectly. The location was excellent—close to the Night Bazaar and not far from the Old Town, making it easy to explore. Thank you to Lang and the team for your warm hospitality—I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning!

Great hospitality Wide range breakfast, however limited as it is non halal Room is marvellous Toilet is clean Bath tub! So big! Swimming pool is great. All staffs are helpful. Peaceful area, not noisy and very private. Love the bed

No halal option for meal, but still many other choices. A bit confusing for Grab driver, some of them does not know there are 2 separate building for the hotel. The hallway is a bit dark, sometimes scary especially when it is off season (less guest staying), maybe add some lighting.

Excellent choice if you visit the city

Staff, food, rooms, cleanliness, everything was good. They even gave us a Christmas, New Year hamper, which was pretty good. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

One restaurant had limited menu. Shower over bath was not preferred, but it's just my preference, not a big issue. One thing that was annoying was wifi connection in the room. It kept disconnecting all the time and was quite choppy. It made things difficult and we had to go on roaming which worked out expensive for us.

What an amazing hotel, I could write all day after staying here for over a week. Empress is beautifully designed, immaculately maintained and with a lovely staff. The breakfast is solid with some American and Asian choices to satisfy everyone. The restaurant has limited choices but the food is good for a hotel. There is a lot of shopping and eating around the hotel but it's a taxi ride to visit the old city. It's definitely a pricier place for Chiang Mai but the luxury is worth it.

I'd say the restaurant and bar could expand their options, but what they have is good. Also, and this is a regional difference, there is no attempt to conserve/recycle plastic in South East Asia.

The hotel was well located, walking distance from amenities. There was a good selection at the breakfast buffet and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The highlight of our stay however, was the wonderful staff member Aoy at the front desk. Aoy greeted us everyday and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, from providing us a gift bag of snacks upon arrival and even sourcing us a box and arranging a free lift to the post office for us. Aoy made our stay a pleasure.

The only downside to our stay was that our air conditioning unit was broken, however Aoy immediately moved us to an upgraded room to solve the problem.
