This is not a 2 star hotel, the view alone makes it 5 star. The setting is so quiet and relaxing, we spent lots of time on the terrace just looking at all the wildlife. We ate here for lunch or dinner most days and the food was excellent, tasty and great value. The owner even cooked himself when the cook had left as we were late ordering. They organised a fantastic 5 hr tuk tuk tour of some of the major sights and we borrowed their bicycles another day to do some exploring of our own. The room and the facilities were also superb. It has been our favourite place to stay so far. And it is fantastic value for money. We just loved the place.

Amazing place: it’s a corner of paradise located just outside the urban city centre (5-10 mins by car), and the room with the view on the lake was amazing. The place was clean and cozy and had everything we needed, and the resort also offers bike and motorbike rental services as well as a restaurant service which we tried both for dinner and breakfast and it was healthy and delicious. Plus, the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommended, and I would love to go there next time I’ll visit Thailand!

No negative points, everything was great

Resort is located straight on the beautiful pond with lots of wild life. Hotel owners also have pets (dogs, cats and even parrots) living in the resort! Interior is stylish and you get a pretty room, with a terrace facing the pond where you can enjoy your evenings. Place is super calm and we were able to relax and enjoy the place after busy city life! Would love to come back again for a longer stay.

It is not really an issue, but something to be aware of. Wild Life of the pond can be noisy at night. So, might not be a great fit for those who needs complete silence for a good night sleep.

The resort is located outside Chiang Rai, but it is only a 10 minute drive from the city center, a 7/11 and a fruit market is a 15 minute walk away. Very lovingly designed atmosphere with a pack of the cutest little dogs and kittens frolicking around there. The owners are so helpful and welcoming. There’s a restaurant for the hotel guests that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each room has a large veranda and view of the lotus covered pond with moorhens balancing over the leaves and crow pheasants sitting in the cyper grass. The rooms are huge with glass walls so that you always have a view of the pond - but the smart design means that privacy is always guaranteed. Truly one of my most beautiful stays in Thailand!

The hotel is really a special place to be. It is very calm, you can see, feel, smell and breathe in the nature. It is an absolutely charming place. The owners are super kind and friendly. They were helpful with planning our activities and routes for the rest of the time in thailand. You shouldn’t miss this place, if you want to lay back and relax for some days! The location is like 10 minutes from chiang rai city center and you can easily go there by bike, scooter or grab. There is a great nightmarket not far from the hotel. All in all, we were so happy that we booked this place and would definitely book it again.

I am in awe with this place. This is not a resort, or hotel. It felt like home. Its just so peaceful and calm. The lotus pond brings about such a serene scene that it's impossible not to be enthralled by it. The people here are so polite and helpful. They make you feel right a home. Its away from the city life and so silent that you can sleep like a baby. You can recharge yourself at this place. Talking about the rooms they are huge and have everything from refrigerator to kettle, to hair dryer. It has also a cute breakfast table overlooking the lake. There are a lot of fishes in the lake and also you can see lot of birds here like kingfisher, crane, etc. Its nestled within the nature and I am definitely coming here some time again to feel the warmth of this place again. They also have bicycles here which you can take and ride around.

This is such a gorgeous little gem. Don't be nervous that it is so inexpensive. The rooms are very nice, the owner is on site to help with anything you need and to cook breakfast. The balcony overlooking the water-lily-strewn pond was a delight. We found that you need a car to really enjoy Chiang Rai. We rented a car in Chiang Mai and drove north (this is a great drive!) There's parking at the resort, right outside your room. We used the car to visit temples and sites further afield. Use Grab (Thailand's Uber/Lyft) when going to sites or restaurants in the city. It's cheap and comfortable.

Fantastic view from the room. It is very calm location. Great place if you want to relax. Also, comfortable bed which doesn’t happen that often in Thailand. They can help with renting a motorbike which is very helpful in getting around Chang Rai and its temples. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they even provide you with a nice map of the area with approximate information on the time, how far you are from places and what should be the grab price.

I liked everything. However, if you are afraid of insects bear in mind that none of them will be in the room. But outside for sure and we found some in the bathroom. But overall they are doing a great job of keeping them outside as for this location.

I rather wish I had booked an extra week here. It is quiet quiet QUIET which I love. You can sit for hours and look out over the pond, listen to the insects and birds and fish leap. I sure did. I took one day for the temples, the rest just to enjoy the quiet. You can't put a value on that. The staff have five charming dogs and mutiple cats; I would take breaks from my writing to go visit them for a pupper and kitten rub. They are incredibly kind; the owner's sister went out three days in a row to get me food when we couldn't figure out which Grab offering provided what I wanted. They were very generous and kind. The inside of the rooms is very lovely, big comfortable platform bed. What I loved best was all the glass. When the storms came I opened all the doors and windows and let sweet smell of rain come in. Honestly, this was a highlight of my time here. I also liked that there was a sink and a fridge, so I could do laundry and you had bowls and silverware. Very relaxed and homey. Did I say it was quiet? I already miss this place. Let's just say the moment I walked in the room and saw the pond, I was done for. My kind of place.

This is a very minor observation, for it doesn't in any way detract from your stay. This is less of a resort than a neighborhood guest house, the outside of which has seen better days. Everyone keeps the inside of the rooms up, but the dining area and other parts have been left to either go to seed a bit or are under construction. I'd try to neaten that up, for it does detract from the place if you come in to have coffee. . If you ignore that (and you should, because it doesn't affect your stay), this is a wonderful surprise of a place. Again, these are very minor observations. Do PLEASE remember if it's raining or if you come out of the shower, either put the mat on the floor or use the slippers. That tile is slippery as black ice, so be careful.

The lotus pond was the best, it was the main reason I booked the room. Great family owned business. They had wonderful pets which was nice since mine were at home. Love the laundry service it’s always nice to come back to a basket of fresh washed clothes, and quite cheap!! Loved the serenity and sounds of nature and the ambiance of the room. Lovely hand painted mural in the bathroom and very clean safe location for female solo travelers. I felt very comfortable there. Walked to the 7-11 very safe neighborhood .

Some of the pathways in reception area were a little weathered and could use some updating. I felt a little unsafe because of its age and I’m a plus size person. It just needs some new boards and TLC . I did notice some new supplies around the place. I believe they are in the process of updating .
