The staff here were amazing. Really helpful and friendly. The location is great. A 10min taxi to all the best sites and nightlife. Really quiet area. Great for chilling out and relaxing.

The beach is nice and quiet but not really a beach as such. It is very difficult to swim due to the amount of rocks. If it's a beachfront property you want, then this is not for you.

The fusion of engineering and art design is interesting. This resort has style and a perfect ambience for those who seek peace, genuine hospitality, intimacy and service. It has none of the corporate trappings. We loved its position, near to the airport but with no sound pollution; a small bay accessible only to 3 properties. The beach is rocky but easy to access, swim shoes easily solve any issues. The outdoor bathrooms are stylish, functional and well lit. The shower has good pressure and the precautionary mosquito coils were appreciated. As tourism increases in Samui its difficult to find genuine, small properties which have retained strong values. Thank you to all the staff, in particular Toy for providing us with hot Brazil seeds from the garden. The laundry service was also excellent and good value. There is a taxi service and motorcycle hire outside the drive and an excellent massage parlour (Moon) at the junction to the main road. We enjoyed eating quality, well presented food at the hotel and also ate locally at the Pui relax bar. It’s very easy to walk to Choeng Mon bay. Communal taxis can be flagged down along the main road as they pass by and the driver will negotiate a fare as they continue their circuit island route. It’s easy to access nearby resorts if you seek entertainment. We watched a daily yoga class in front of the sea and guests using the kayaks and paddle boards. There was a good selection of books if required. We thought the property was well lit. The fan provided an option in addition to the air conditioning in the room. We loved the ‘welcome’ sign on the bed on arrival. All communal areas were kept immaculate. Thank you for the beach towels in addition to the pool towels. Staff worked daily to clean up any plastic washed up on the shore which was also appreciated.

We loved all of it and would stay again. It’s great value. Even better if: A few more sun beds were available Smoking was restricted at the pool and in the restaurant area. Despite open ventilation smoking encroaches on others. Hair Conditioner would be a bonus but can be purchased at the conveniently located Seven Eleven.

We loved our stay at Sea Dance resort. The entire resort is surrounded by beautiful gardens and is set back from the road making it a very relaxing and tranquil environment. The villa we stayed in was stunning and really spacious. I loved the personal touches that the staff had made such as the dried flowers on the towels when we arrived, the choice of wooden decorations and the shells. The added bonus of the little plunge pool on the elegant terrace was a joy. We loved the beds which were very comfortable and the AC worked well - a must in Thailand! The staff are very friendly and obliging and the food at the restaurant is gorgeous.

Everything about the resort was perfect to be honest. I can't think of anything that I would change about this place.

The hotel is in a great location between Chaweng Beach Strip and the more relaxed Choengmon Beach. The hotel staff go beyond expectations to ensure you have a personalised experience. They helped us to celebrate our honeymoon and birthday with thoughtful room decorations, flower arrangements and other surprises. The staff are genuine. The private pool and sea view from our room was a highlight for us. We felt very safe at this resort throughout the day and the night. The resort had live musicians as entertainment most evenings. There were always sun loungers available to use as well as fresh towels. The rooms are well designed and look beautiful.

From the moment we got to Sea Dance we were blown away by the staff, the room, the view and the natural environment. Either side of the resort are more westernised villas and resorts, yet Sea Dance stole our hearts with it's botanical setting which felt like an oasis. The rooms are separate bungalows with lush greenery giving you a sense of privacy. The greenery attracts lots of birds, and other beautiful creatures, and is also used within the resort for decoration and ingredients at the restaurant The beach is practically private and great for exploring rockpools. The free use of the Kayak is something we wish we had taken more advantage of. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Each morning at breakfast, Joy and Paing were wonderful, remembering our drinks order and asking us about our trips as were Kai and Oo in the restaurant. We didn't manage to get names for the equally wonderful kitchen, cleaning or front of house team, who were also exceptional.

Nothing, would stay here again

What an amazing experience we had on our return to Sea Dance Resort, our favorite resort on the island! Located on a quiet beach the resort itself is beautifully set amongst nature and has a very relaxed vibe. You can chill by the pool or on the sand under the shade of palms and other big trees. The wonderful staff and management are so welcoming and kind, nothing was too much trouble. We loved seeing their friendly faces when we came back for our second stay. It's clear that all the staff are valued and take pride in their service. The villas are spacious and kept clean, we had a private pool and loved spending our evenings on the outside deck listening to and spotting the local wildlife. The beach itself is rocky in parts but don't let that put you off. You can access the water in sandier spots at the other end of the beach for a swim but the best plans is to wear neoprene booties. You can take off from most of the beach with booties and the snorkelling is great! There are so many species of fish and other sea life. The water can be shallow but the visibility was excellent for most of our two week stay. Poy and his team are committed to creating and maintaining a serene sanctuary that respects and celebrates the natural setting. Special thanks to Poy, Lek, Joy, Oo, Dome and Harris for making our visit amazing.

With reference to comments from other guests about the choice at breakfast, it includes multiple fresh fruits, cereals, freshly baked bread, an egg station plus a range of 8-10 hot dishes or sides that varied each day. And the coffee (hot or iced) is great! While it's not comparable to a massive buffet in a big hotel, it's fresh, tasty and uses ingredients grown at the resort. It was perfect for us and we found all the dishes served from the restaurant to be exceptional.

The staff at Sea Dance are lovely. The resort is pretty and really well maintained (and that's a challenge for the staff given the grounds, mature trees and plantings). Breakfasts were buffet style and fine. The iced coffees a stand out! The pool area was pretty. Massage places and restaurants were to be found on the main road just at the end of the long shared driveway. Restaurant Pui Relax a standout (try the duck with orange sauce).

For those of us who have already had a bad case of dengue fever the outdoor bathrooms were a challenge. They are a lovely idea and actually function well but we shared ours with a bird which seemed to be nesting in a light and various bugs, including mosquitos. That said, bug spray was provided. Bed was on the firmer side. We didnt need / want our towels changed every day but, despite following instructions (see photo) and placing our towels on the hooks, they got changed every day anyway. At lease Sea Dance provided instruction sheets in the room which was helpful, even if not followed. We were provided with a bathmat in the room on the day we arrived but not again after. The case of the disappearing bath mat?

This hotel is a self contained portion of paradise on Koh Samui with a beach front pool and restaurant. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool which was heavenly! The breakfast was included and there was hot and cold buffet food to choose from, which varied each day.

There were some building works next door which was noisy at times - though these will undoubtedly come to an end at some point. We were disappointed by the local restaurant offerings outside the hotel - many of which were focused on western-centric cuisine (pizza, burgers, steak etc) and limited Thai food offering, plus higher prices than in the big cities on the mainland. Though not the fault of the hotel!

From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness and willingness to help made a significant difference, making us feel welcomed and valued. During our check in they noticed it was my birthday and gave me mango sticky rice with a candle as a treat. It was a big surprise ❤️ The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with a clean and inviting atmosphere. The gardens are a true highlight, showcasing lush tropical plants that create a serene environment perfect for relaxation. I found myself wandering through the gardens, enjoying the tranquility they offered. The pool area was nice, clean. The layout allowed for both socializing and quiet moments, making it an ideal spot for everyone. Overall, Sea Dance Resort combines good service with stunning surroundings, making it a perfect getaway in Koh Samui. It is located in peacefulI area, in a distance from the city or shops and restaurants, so you have to walk a bit or take a taxi. So more for people looking for silent escape. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable vacation experience!

We had pouring rains nearly all week, so we felt dampness and all the humidity in the bathroom. It was difficult to dry our towels or clothes, and also a bit of musty smell was apparent. But I suppose that in a good and sunny weather this wouldn't be a problem.
