Staff were super friendly, breakfast & food really nice. The hotel was beach front and stunning. Exceeded expectations - we would have stayed longer if the weather wasn’t bad.

Rooms need a revamp- but looks like they’re doing a lot of work & improvements. One thing that I would say is that the beach is so beautiful but just to the right of the hotel the beach was full of rubbish from where the hotels at either side of it obviously clean up just in front of their hotels and leave the rest. I understand that the rubbish doesn’t belong to the hotel but it does effect the view and makes it feel a little dirty - I hope they consider cleaning this up.

Pool Layout was incredible, the beach was so tidy and clean. The size of the bed and the room was amazing.

Everything. This is a hidden gem and a very under rated place. The best place to relax with amazing views, lovely food, and amazing staff.

I wouldn’t even know where to start . I have nothing but the highest praise for Blue Bay Resort . Staff is extremely helpful and accommodating , nothing was ever any trouble and when we needed assistance or advice , they were so quick to help . Always smiling , always happy. Rooms are beautiful ( we had the one with direct access to the pool , I’d recommend you get one of those as can just walk out of your room and jump straight into the pool .) with great ac , fridge , kettle and hair dryer . Very spacious , great beds , Suoer clean . Also our room got cleaned every day ( we left 200 baht tip in the end as the housekeeping ladies were so lovely ) . Food in the restaurant is delicious , you really have no need to eat anywhere else as they also do fantastic barbecues on the beach in the evening and it’s cheap . We had breakfast included and my god , how many choices to choose from . Curries , fish , chicken , rice ,potatoes , banana bread and super yummie sweet cakes , salads , fresh fruit , eggs , continental food , you name it , they had it . I was honestly looking forward to breakfast bar every morning when waking up . I honestly missed it when we left . We spent 9 days here and it wasn’t even enough . The hotel is right on the beach and has a bar surrounded by tall coconut palm trees . Beach is stunning , you can walk either side . Right side is the busier bit , with shops and restaurants , left side is completely secluded ( where the monkeys are ) . The hotel also offers free kayaks for guests. I honestly loved this place so much I would definitely be back , and will drag my friends along with me . It’s the most perfect spot on Ko Yao Yai !

Location was great, right on the beach . Pool was clean and the staff were fantastic.

We loved our stay here. Blue Bay has so much character. The gardens are well maintained. There is a relaxed vibe throughout the resort. You just feel at ease. Rooms are clean and you can dive from your room to the pool. I saw a lot of reviews saying there were only tourists from China which is not the case. Not that we would mind but I do want to mention that this is not true. We met people of all kind of ethnicities Also breakfast wasn’t as bad as the reviews say. There were a lot of options and it was quite okay! I do have a little bit of advice: it would be nice if the room cleaning wash off the glasses/coffeecups or replace them everyday with new ones. However, not a dealbreaker. It is almost fully renovated and after they will renovated the last parts of the resort they should ask a lot more (in my opinion). Also location is great. Enough restaurants, scooter/car rentals nearby and you can walk right to the beach. Would recommend!

The property was fantastic all round. We read some reviews and were unsure what it would be like, however upon arriving and meeting the friendly staff we were sure it was going to be a pleasant stay. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very well kept. The floors, bed and bathroom were very nice. Usually I am slightly disappointed when viewing a hotel room, however not here. My partner and I were very pleased with our pool access room. The pool was amazing and included floaties for us to play on. We had some friends staying in the same pool access area so was amazing to be able to swim around to their flat and sit on the balcony too. We ended up enjoying the stay so much that we had to book an extra night. The free kayak and free breakfast really made the stay special. Super pleased with the variety at breakfast and the amazing food and the lovely food eating area. There are steps leading from the lobby directly to the beach where you could see amazing sunsets. We did visit in low season so the resort was lovely and peaceful and we will definitely be returning.

The bathrobes may have been unused in the cupboard for a while and started to collect dust. Maybe just a quick check on them as they looked super comfy. I’m sure the well trained and nice staff would have happily changed it if we asked.

The best thing is the pool, which you can enter directly from the room. The room is large, sufficiently equipped. The whole area is very nice, located right on the beach. Right next to it is a street where you can find a shop and all the necessary services (laundry, scooter rental, doctor, office offering trips and boat transfers, restaurants).

Breakfast could have offered more sweets - there was one cake that was quickly gone because everyone wanted it. The reception staff could have been a bit more helpful. The cleaning ladies were very nice though.

We loved the setting the resort was in so close to the beach. The room Was amazing with doors straight out to a sitting areas and the pool which was great. The cleaning staff were amazing and came every day without fail and the staff on reception were very helpful with any queries you may have. Would definitely stay here again.

The food in the restaurant was a bit expensive compared to nearby restaurants. The breakfast wasn’t really for British, more for chineses/asian so not much choice.
