the room was spacious clean and in one word PERFECT. A small family resort with a hand full of bungalows with a main restaurant serving delicious food at a very good price . sun loungers available overlooking the beach.

only a very a small beach which was very rocky . you need to hire scooters or a car while staying there as it is very isolated . the lovely staff will arrange this for you. They really go out of their way to help with bookings and pier transport.

Super kind and helpful hosts, clean, modern room, beautifully maintained garden in a beautiful, very quiet location. Perfect for those who want to rest. The island is beautiful and still authentic. Easy to reach the beaches by motorbike, which the hosts can arrange for you.

We were diving and had a half hour commute one way each day, but it was as a nice drive across the island. The property does not have a beach suitable for swimming, but is nice for walking, reading and relaxing.

Absolutely adorable place with the loveliest staff. I felt like I was on holiday at my grandmas place, the hospitality was amazing food very homely and you can rent a scooter to go around the island easily too.

Water pressure in the shower but that’s the only thing!

We did not opt for the breakfast. The beachfront location of the resort added an extra flavor to the picturesque scenery. The unobstructed view of the sea from the verandah made our day.

Number of public transport/ taxi is very low.

One the best experience in Thailand, very clean and lovely host. The entire atmosphere of this place is made possible by this family run hotel. They go above and beyond to keep the place clean and for you to have a pleasant stay. Their breakfast was wonderful and we were always happy to have a conversation. You can rent a scooter with them and have easy access to the centre and laem beach and other beaches. They are so thoughtful and available to give tips, made our stay there even better. Highly recommend

The room was nice, big with plenty of storage room - bathroom and beach towels were provided. Fridge, kettle, and shower gel&shampoo. Nice views from the room. Desk and an ottoman stool. TV. The beach has stones and the usual tides but you can swim. Plenty of places to lay - deck chair/sun beds. Beautiful garden, well maintained. There are not many sandy beaches on the island anyway.

Sunrise Beach is a beautiful and peaceful location to spend a few days. Brech and her team were extremely warm and welcoming and made us feel at home. They were very helpful throughout our stay, taking us to the shops and making reservations for us when we needed. We would certainly recommend Sunrise Beach for anyone looking for a relaxing stay on Koh Yao Yai.

This family run resort was very welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. The beach a very short walk and food at the resort very good and a great Thai restaurant just 5 mins away called Isaan Fine 3. Good for short stay. David - Oct 2023
