Lake-side villa with private pool, absolutely beautiful resort, great staff! I did not expect a 5-star resort treatment and it is not, but for the value I felt like I got more than expected. Everything I needed for a relaxed holiday. Very clean rooms, no mosquitos (you are in nature, keep the doors shut!), very good breakfast with variety every day (not a grand buffet, but a simple, very tasty breakfast with eggs, fresh fruits, pancakes etc.). Scooter rental for good price and free pickup from harbor. Dinner options good and decent priced, but better options on the island. It is a quiet resort and I liked that, staff is super friendly, will definitely be back.

Lake-side pools are visible from neighboring villas and from across the pond during the day, so it does not feel that private. There was a bit of construction and renovation going on during the day, but the season just started, so I understand. Shower was very weak and cold one evening. Thai food felt a bit too westernized (little spice...). I suggest asking the guest how they want it. Bathroom slippers would have been nice considering that I had a pool outside. Shower gel was too thick to get out of the bottle easily. Most of all: Why are there birds kept in tiny, tiny cages hanging on trees in the park? Very cruel. There are so many free birds that one can see just walking through the park, we really don't need them in these cages. They seem frightened and exhausted, just set them free.

This place is absolutely amazing, if you're debating booking it, BOOK NOW! As soon as we arrived we were made to feel totally at home; Kai greeted us with a huge smile and a delicious cold welcome drink which was much appreciated after a long and hot boat ride. They picked us up from the pier and then dropped us off at our next hotel for free which was so generous. We stayed in a pool room which was absolutely stunning - the pool looks out over the lake and after reading other reviews we were very surprised to have no issues with Mosquitos, even when we went for a late night swim they weren't any by our pool. The bed was super comfy, bathroom had a huge shower and the rooms were cleaned daily. They have a restaurant on site which was delicious and very reasonable prices. They also have happy hour at thier pool bar which was really good. We rented a bike for the day and they were so accommodating and helpful (my partner has only ridden a bike once before) so they gave up their time so he could go for a little practice ride. Other reviews mention the resort being a bit tired (yes we had a few tiles missing in our pool but the views and peacefulness totally outweighed that) but for the price you pay this resort totally exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return and will be recommending it to all of our family and friends.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Loved everything about the property, the thought that has gone into the design of the room and facilities is amazing. We loved the tranquility of the place and the location was perfect. Breakfast is perfect with a large spread of delicious food and eggs cooked to order. We hired motorbikes easily through the hotel and saw the other areas of the island. The bikes were new and the helmets clean, I would recommend this to see the best of the beautiful island. The best asset of Awana is the staff. Kai and her team are the friendliest and most helpful team and really made our stay.

We stayed in the double villa with private pool. The villas were quite simple but tastefully decorated and the bathrooms were lovely. They had a nice understated luxury vibe. Beds were comfy and pool was beautiful. The place was very relaxing, just what we needed and the kids swam into the night time which was lovely. Like a hidden oasis and great if you need to zone out. Main pool also lovely and the staff very kind. Can rent mopeds for cheap and needed as you are not close to anything else. Its not a beachy island so we weren't bothered not being close to beach and only stayed 4 nights. It was really lovely though.

I found the dinner a little expensive for what it was but it was nice and good to have if you are with kids. the pool had too much chlorine, I think they should consider oxygenated/salt water as all our eyes were stinging like mad! The TV didnt work but we didnt really need it. We are a family of 4 so it was great to have the space BUT I would not stay here with young kids as the 4 beds means its split between 2 villas so my husband and I split so we each slept with a kid. I was paranoid that someone could just in! I know unlikely but still. I think all they need to do is put a gate across the back so it closes the 2 villa off form main pathway, if they did this I would keep going back!

Great location, the grounds are beautiful, the staff are so lovely and helpful. Felt a lot more premium than it is. The deluxe doubles are gorgeous, big rooms with wrap around windows, the pictures on line don’t do them justice. A lot of the private villas have their own pools, so it meant we had the main pool to ourselves most of the time. Just a beautiful place to stay. We will be back.

Really not much to say here. The room didn’t have a safe - that we could find… The mattress was like sleeping on concrete, quite common in Thailand, maybe you could offer mattress toppers?

Beautiful bungalow with little pool overlooking the lake, perfect for cooling off and watching the wildlife, including hornbills and monitor lizards. Special mention to the manager Yai who answered all our questions efficiently and to Chalib who gave us some great tips on places to go. With a scooter the hotel is perfectly placed for sunrises, sunsets and the local village and market. The breakfast was also very good with a different Thai option freshly prepared each day and plenty of fresh fruit. We had a lovely few days there, thank you!

This property was absolutely beautiful and set in a quiet location. The staff were fabulous and so welcoming throughout our stay. The hut/accommodation was beautiful and very well designed. Also super clean thanks to the housekeeping team. If you love nature I would highly recommend giving this place a visit. We were greeted through the night by little geckos in the room and I think that’s absolutely great! In addition, we loved the fact breakfast was included to start your day off right and also the ease of hiring a moped to get you around the picturesque island. 10/10 from me.

Really beautiful and peaceful eco-hotel with many individual bungalow rooms, located in the midst of the jungle. We stayed for 4 nights in their Deluxe room with balcony which turned out to have a private pool too. Very comfortable bedroom and you have all the facilities you need. The common pool area is very welcoming and cosy, and the hotel restaurant serves really good Thai food, albeit a little pricey for Koh Yao Noi.

Hotel was slightly far from the main beaches on the island so you'll need to rent a motorcycle or tuktuk to go there and back - which will cost extra

The resort is set in a quiet setting, not far away of the pier where you arrive. It is very peaceful and there is lot’s of birds (we even saw hornbills). Everything is nice and clean, staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good.

Currently there were some construction works going on, but we can understand that low season is the moment to do it. They never started early in the morning and staff told us if it was too disturbing they could ask to quit any time.

Loved our villa with the private pool, such a treat! Gorgeous property with lots of wildlife and even hornbills one morning. Good breakfast with eggs made to order overlooking the lake and a very sweet young man always with a big smile ready to help. We had dinner there one evening and it was the best we've had in Thailand. Free bikes but for a longer ride it's better to rent better ones. Kai, the manager, provided exceptional service!
