I like a good swim in the sea, so Holiday Resort is perfect; can just walk over the road to the sea and head north or south (this visit I booked around high tide for an early morning swim, low tide is generally rocky around Ko Yao Noi). The staff are particularly helpful and friendly, for example, i arrived and left with my electric scooter on the car ferry, and the manager offered a later checkout time, (maybe not feasible in high season?). The two chalets i have stayed in were perfect for me; just the right size with a sizeable covered veranda. Both had a choice of air con or fan. The fittings, furniture and equipment are well thought out, and the change-over crew do a thorough job of checking and cleaning. The setting is perfect, with Hornbills up in the tall trees, and wading birds looking for fish and frogs in the pond. I enjoyed the included breakfast after my swims, and the swimming pool is a good size and well maintained.

During the low season months, we must expect some refurbishment, alterations and construction; It's a good and necessary thing as it shows the management is committed to providing a first-rate service. Work did not seem to start early or end late, and the workers are good natured and make an effort to minimise disruption. As with any hotel or resort, we can always make a request in advance for a room away from any works. That's what i did, as my first visit in March was a bit too close to the restaurant rebuild. This visit, no problem.

The location was perfect and we were close to great restaurants mini markets and the beach. Perfect place to watch a sunrise. The pool was great.

The description of the rooms isn’t accurate, it says about seperate living space but it’s not and the bungalows are not ‘beach front’ they face the beach but that was ok for us. The breakfast was ok but it was left out and the stuff got dried out and flies. The pool bar is open to all not just those staying at the accommodation. One day it felt like the cleaner’s children had come to play in the pool they were loud and disrespectful to other guests and hit one with a ball

Great location, unreal views from the beach front bungalows. Rooms are spacious, but basic, but this is reflected in what you pay. Aircon was good, full size fridge which is very useful. Clean and has everything you’d need. Pool was salt water and big enough to do some lengths which was great. The hotel has a gym which so far has been rare in Thailand. A lot of reviews on here moan about the breakfast. Not sure why; it’s simple but you have fresh fruit, eggs, fried rice. Toast and jams etc. juices and coffee - coffee is instant but there are amazing coffee shops near by if you prefer something better. Honestly I don’t know what the other reviewers were expecting as this isn’t a 5 star resort, so it isn’t to that standard. But it’s definitely a good decent start to your day, for the price you pay. Overall this resort is great value for money, good location, peaceful, great pool, lovely team of staff that are there to help. A great base to explore the north and south of the island. Places you must go, Haris Bar next to Stella restaurant, he has a few sun loungers and great cocktails with amazing views. Also Honey Chicken Restaurant, incredible bbq. Both v near. Only thing I have to say is the mattress is really hard. Like in most of Thailand. Personally I found it very uncomfortable. But it wouldn’t put me off staying again.

Great pool with view of sea (resort was across a small road from sea but that didn't detract). Great location on the island to see sunrise. A 10 minute walk from restaurants (looks like a restaurant is being built on site and I am guessing will be ready in a month or so). Don't be put off by building work it's not in the way or noisy. Overall great value for money.

Just remember to put hanger on door if you want room serviced. They leave water, extra coffee and toilet roll outside on table if you don't so it's not a problem. Understandably the lower price accommodation isn't as pretty as the higher price but you get access to the same facilities and breakfast so it's great value!

Great bungalow facing the sea. Perfect for watching the sunrise from the porch. Very clean with housekeeping as requested. Great pool area and an area to hang out to play pool or enjoy a drink. Staff were helpful. Be sure to rent a scooter to explore the island. Lots of day trips and kayak rentals available. The resort does not offer food other than breakfast, but plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.

The only area for improvement would be the breakfast selection. A coffee machine would be a great addition over the current instant coffee offered. Small detail, but for the price, it's a great place to stay..

Stunning location overlooking Phang Nga Bay. The views of the limestone islands were superb. The beach in front is great for swimming, just not classical , but you can easily walk to others with more sand frontage. Great neighbourhood for walking, lots of different eating places right on the beach. Hired scooters from hotel and toured the island, Breakfast at the resort is great. Staff friendly and very good swimming pool. Boat trip by speedboat was easy from Phuket and then went on to Railay.

Comfortable and clean rooms just needed a bit of a make over. They have a/c and a fridge. The kettle didn't reach the plug and no bedside lights. But really for the price , location and general comfort it was great !

We pretty much like everything besides breakfast. The house was very spacious and clean, it is across the road from the sea, so location is super nice, there is a decent pool with salt water not chlorine, which in my opinion is amazing.

It was the worst breakfast we had on our month long trip in Thailand. They could really make some effort to improve it and then this would be truly amazing stay. But you can find nice cafes for breakfast on the island, so didn’t bother me too much.

- The staff was great and helpful - The swimming pool was clean - Breakfast was good though a bit boring - They changed my room when I told them I had booked a beach front bungalow, which is great. Location is perfect!!! First class view over the bay!

- The lady who seems to be the owner of the resort isn't very polite. Her staff is great and she should learn from them. - You sometimes have to wait quite a while before speaking to someone at reception because they're not always behind the desk, even from 9am to 5pm. - Shower pressure is weak and toilet flush didn't work in the 1st bungalow I stayed at. - I booked a double bed room and got a twin room.

The place was lovely and the staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast wasn't great, the food was left uncovered and there was never enough fruit, we had to ask for cutlery and plates, as when they had been used they were not replaced

- Spacious bungalow, with beautiful view. - Very friendly staff - nice swimming pool - motorbike rental - many nice restaurants at walking distance - Everything was very clean - nice breakfast with toast, eggs, sausage, ham, jam, butter, watermelon and small pieces of french toast + coffee/tea, water and a juice - we read in previous reviews about the rooms not having curtains for some windows, but our room did have them and was still very dark in the morning

- one minor improvement could be to have hand soap in the room - the hotel’s dogs were barking early in the morning. Our bungalow was right next to the dogs
