The beach amongst palm trees is a gem - even in light of the tides around here. When not in the sea, the pool is super clean and provides a great alternative. The restaurant lets one have the feet in the sand while enjoying the food with a view, which creates instant relaxation. We did not share the many negative reviews about the food quality but appreciated the modern and clean breakfast/ restaurant area along with wonderfully friendly service. They also have an impressive massage operation with a very nice atmosphere and vibe.

The rooms seem to be past their prime. While very clean, the layout of our jacuzzi suite made us wonder who would take a bath in a space that has many nooks and open spaces for insects to join. Bee season didn’t help but the staff took very fast action so we didn’t really have an issue.

Paradise is set in a beautiful location on a private beach surrounded by cliffs. The resort was well maintained and aesthetic. The superior studio was spacious with lovely decor. Our room package included a yoga class and a boat trip to Pak Bia Island which were good. Some beautiful tropical wildlife found on the island. Perfect place for couples who want to relax in the resort only. Excellent breakfast. The food at the Seafood terrace was nice, accompanied by a live singer. Cocktails were delicious, happy hour twice a day was welcomed.

Not easy/cheap to get to the resort! Resort's transfer service is expensive (1500 baht per person, one way) and the only other way is ferry then private taxi (around 800 baht for 2 people). Not easy to get anywhere from the resort. A couple of beaches are walkable but not easy routes. The resort/public taxi charge high prices to get to other locations. Only 2 restaurants at the resort. The cheaper restaurant (seafood terrace) and bars were still around 3x price of other restaurants/bars in Thailand, but this was to be expected given secluded location. Every price also had a compulsory 7% tax + 10% service charge.

Our stay at Paradise KohYao exceeded our expectations! The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to include a plunge pool, the room itself was spacious and the garden/sea views were stunning. We really enjoyed the food and drink options (recommend the mango sticky rice!). The resort itself is tucked away in its own bay which was what appealed to us. There are plenty activities to do at the resort (kayak, paddle boarding, badminton, volleyball etc) however it’s also the most ideal place to relax and unwind. The resort included small touches such as the welcome drink on arrival, turn down service at night and live entertainment which impressed us.

This hotel really is paradise! We stayed during the beginning of December, they were coming out of monsoon season and the weather wasn’t perfect blue skies, it rained most evenings but this didn’t stop our time being magical. We stayed in their Sea View Plunge Pool Deluxe (room 251 for photo reference), the anticipation walking up to our room, hoping it would be picture post card was definitely worth it. The room was great, the bed was large and comfortable, you got complementary bottles of water daily and a smart TV with Netflix ready to go, you can shower with a view and sun bathe on your private terrace. You really had no reason to leave the room if you wanted! The members of staff were incredible, everyone greeted you with a smile and hello, the guys who worked down at the activity centre had the greatest banter, they took a small team of us on a kayaking tour around Phang Nah Bay (definitely recommend) and made sure we all had an equally good time, they took our pictures, told us stories and made sure we were always one step ahead of the Phuket boat tours so that we could enjoy the quietness of each new place, without their being hundreds of people around you, which we were all grateful of. The spa was lovely, they had a deal of the day which was exciting. During our stay we had a couple of treatments and the ladies were AMAZING!! We booked appointments for the same day, so we were never left waiting days to enjoy treatments. We really couldn’t fault Paradise, they helped us organise transfers back to Phuket on our departure and when their car was running behind schedule, they took us to the pier in their speedboat so we didn’t miss our ferry. We definitely recommend staying here! We’ll be back one day!

Outstanding location between a beach and the jungle. No car, really resourcing, nice restaurants on the beach.

The staff do their best but don't speak English well enough to respond to requests. The hotel had told us before arrival that they could provide us with a babysitter : on the morning of the appointment, they just asked a random member of staff to stay with our 2 and a half year old son. We came back 3 hours later, he hadn't moved or done any activity and had obviously spent some time on a tablet. No one was able to tell us a word on what they did during this time or why he was crying when we returned. When we reported it to reception no one saw the problem and the baby-sitting was of course billed. We had a few other comprehension problems that spoiled the stay a bit.

Calm and quiet location, surrounded by nature, beautiful surroundings. Very good breakfast and excellent thai food at restaurant. Very nice hotellrooms, including nice, big batthroom with jacuzzi. The staff was kind and attentive and we felt welcomed.

The hotel is very far away from everything so you have to eat and drink at the hotel restaurants which are expensive. There were too few sunbeds available. The beach is quite nice when the tide is high but mostly it was low tide during the day when we were there and the beach was not nice then, a lot of rocks. The water was not clear. The staff at the restaurant was kind and I am sure they tried their best, but it was disturbing that they time after time got our orders wrong or they they just came with a part of what we ordered and we needed to remind them time after time.

It was the best room we have ever stayed in. We had the sea view room, which looked even better than the pictures. The view from both the room and the pool was incredible. It was very private. Although the food and drink prices at the resort were high for Thailand, we didn't find them any worse than in Phuket. Kayaking around the nearby islands was really great, and very secluded.

It would have been less hassle if the boat transfer was included, and didn't have to be paid for separately (approximately £35pp, per way).

They differ in length and cost, and the staff will nicely help you choose the best one for you. They also organize visits to the local village in the south on the island, and the nice morning yoga class that we appreciated a lot. - nice and available staff

We have a full 10, but here are some minor warnings: - this is not something that we didn’t like, but mind that the hotel is really isolated - again, this is not something we didn’t like of the property, but mind the tides that can affect water clarity - the high cost of transfers from/to Phuket and Krabi, and of some of the activities - at arrival, they asked us for either credit card data or a deposit of around 3000 bath on the room conditions, and we didn’t know it from information on Booking

I really can’t think of anything. The only thing to be aware of for some is that there are rooms that require a few minutes walk up hill. If you have any accessibility issues be sure to check which room you’re in.
