The special atmosphere, the quite particular interior design that gives the whole place a character. Lush greenery, beautiful river with free kayaks, beautiful pool, fish in the canals you can feed, fish in the completely transparent river Boutique hotel atmosphere with not too many rooms and vast territory, many cosy places to sit or lay down with a book. Lots of shade to protect from the sun Friendly staff, very good Western type cakes The beds were super confy, aircon just fine, showers/wc functioning well. We stayed a week right after arrival and came back for a few days before the flight home. It was the highlight of our one month stay in terms of accommodation. We tried two villas and a minitel (regular room, quite small), all were comfortable. The villas are just grand, very good quality/price ratio, I recommend!

We did the prior research, so it was not a problem at all, but the resort is quite far from the touristy parts of Ao Nang and from the beach, around 20-30 mins on scooter. We rented a motorbike before coming and enjoyed the nature + comfort combo. The hotel is very stylish, but not for luxury lovers or perfectionists, I'd say. I personally loved the design and the idea, even though the old traditional furniture in the villas was not practical at all. Some parts of the outdoor furniture and terrasses were really in bad shape, but it was being replaced during our second stay. I found it very charming overall, not a typical hotel like there are thousands around the world.

The staff were so friendly especially Yah. She helped us a lot in getting halal food, transport, problems with the rooms etc. If you like natire , this is a beautiful place to stay in.

There should be more activities and infact a minimart very nearby or at the venue itself. We got the family room when we arrived. It was a beautiful room but for 4 of us adults there is only one toilet n one shower. That was difficult. The 2nd day they move us to 2 minitels, and we had our own bathroom which is better.

It was a beautiful place away from town and tourists. We enjoyed it a lot. Free kayak, nice pool, free yoga mats or bikes, 5min away from a new and beautiful elephant sanctuary.

We asked for a quiet room however on Minitel the other room was connected with us through locked door which is not properly insulated for noice. We heard our neighbours talking and having a great night experience which we wish we wouldn’t have to be a part of by the sound.

For a digital nomad family of five, WiFi is one of the key aspects of any stay, and this one really surprised us in a good way - 60Mpbs in the middle of the jungle! We loved the free kayaks and easy access to the river - much wildlife to observe once in the water, below and above. It felt great to be so close to nature yet within easy reach of civilization. I loved how wild the jungle was, a bit of a hippie paradise vibe. The best part about this stay was hearing (and seeing) all the wildlife around us.

Taps needed some serious attention in our villa, and there was a distinct lack of wardrobes, so we made do with the antique writing cabinet and a TV stand. Overall, we paid the same amount to stay here as we did to spend a week in a top-notch 5* resort in Cambodia, so from that perspective, the value for money is something left to be desired. With that said, you pay for location and access to nature.

My wife and I aren’t in search of bars and nightclubs. We thrive on local experiences and nature. This place is a perfect place to truly relax.

The property is situated in a very beautiful green area, surrounded by hills and palm trees. Just amazing! Room was very clean and I love especially the bathroom. New, clean, modern

When ordering the scooter or laundry staff was very misleading when talking about the prices. I rented scooter. I was told 300 baht for a day. The lady on the reception completely skipped the fact that I would also have to pay extra 200 baht for delivery, in cash what I wasn't prepared for. The same situation with the laundry. I was told it's 80 baht per 1kg. They didn't specify that underwear is being charged by piece and it's not included in 1kg price. Details like that made me doubt in how trustworthy is the staff in this place.

I HIGHLY recommend to visit สวนข้าวฟ่าง Garnetfarm just 3 minutes away from BluMonkey. There is a Thai Lady who lives her Dream Life at the Garden. She can show you the surroundings of her beautiful place, flowers, fruits and more, and she even made us a nice picnic and we had so blessing talk. Our villa was nice and well maintained, however cleaning wasn't done every day, just change of towels upon request and fresh water. Kayaking and swimming pool great I liked small cafe and their Strawberry Matcha os a blast!!! The stuff made pizza cloth for my kids and some art classes. A lot of lizards and other wild life We had barbeque and shabu, it was very good.

Far away from major activities BUT you get no traffic, less people and silence Nearby you can visit mountains, caves and atv

Very nice place with great river and jungle vibes. They offer kayaking, badminton set and yoga mats. Good fruit shakes! Good stay for 3 days!

Communication was really hard. The restaurant is unfortunately not up to speed at all. Food is just not tasty (but pricy) and they constantly get the order and timing wrong. Shakes were good though! If travelling without own means of transport , I would not recommend to use their taxi service. It’s easy double of the normal price. Be aware: grab is not available. Best is to write down a few whatapp contacts from grab/taxis from krabi area and text them. Worked for us great !

We had an amazing stay at Blu Monkey, a perfect retreat for nature lovers. Nestled in the jungle, you wake up to the soothing sounds of nature, surrounded by lush flora. The natural pool is pristine and offers a fun experience—you can swim or kayak while enjoying the peaceful setting. There’s also a large pool where you can relax and listen to the birds singing. The secluded location adds a wonderful sense of calmness and privacy. We loved the thoughtful design of the hotel, especially the seating by the river where you can enjoy breakfast or meals surrounded by nature. We stayed in a villa that was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds. The breakfast, while not as extensive as in large hotels, offered everything you need, with a focus on detail and aesthetics. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into every aspect, from the beautiful presentation of dishes to the cozy atmosphere. The coffee at their coffee house was excellent, and the cakes were a lovely treat. The staff truly stood out—they go above and beyond, clearly enjoying their work and continuously enhancing the guest experience. We stayed over New Year’s Eve, and they organized a fantastic party with delicious food and a great program, which made the celebration even more special. We can’t recommend Blu Monkey enough, and if we return to Krabi, we will definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous location in a secluded quiet jungle area, with crystal clear natural pool on site. Really nice clean comfortable rooms and possibly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. We accidentally slept in everyday here because the bed was so comfy.

Location is quite far from any food options, I would definitely not stay here without your own transport. While there is a restaurant/café on site it is expensive and there are no vegetarian options, there wasn’t even a non dairy milk option for coffee. We found ourselves eating cup noodles and chips from 7-11 as after 8pm the only choice for any food is driving 30 mins to ao nang.
