Very relaxed atmosphere in a quiet area a fair way out (15 minute drive) from the main strip in Pai. The hotspring fed outdoor bath was lovely, the room was simple but comfortable. The free daily breakfast was simple but yummy, not great options if you're vegan or vego though. The rooms are very private, even though you're close to the other bungalows. We hired a scooter from Kalm which was far easier and cheaper than getting one from anywhere in town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Kalm is surrounded by farmland, we watched locals harvesting the fields and a few cheeky cows hopping fences to get to the better grass. We had a deeply relaxing stay at Kalm. Highly recommend if you want some down time!

No complaints about Kalm itself, but there's not much in the area in terms of food/shopping and Kalm only serves breakfast so unless you've got your own transport your options can be a little bit limited. Taxis to/from Kalm to Pai walking street cost us between 200-300 baht, which would add up quickly compared to hiring a scooter at 200-350 baht/day if you're coming and going a lot.

The hotel itself is idyllic. The setup is beautiful, and the views breathtaking. The sunset we saw from our bedroom porch is something we won't forget. The rooms, while simple, are comfortable and clean. There are some reviews on here with guests complaining about the location. This hotel is NOT in the center of Pai, but a 15 minute drive away. We recommend that you plan on having a scooter so you can access Pai easily. But, in our opinion, being a bit outside of Pai is completely fine, especially because of the price difference. When we visited in Mid December 2024, there were two puppies that stole our hearts 🥰

The staff barely speak any English and aren't really friendly. The breakfast is served late (8:30am) and is very underwhelming, definitely not worth waiting for it (unless you plan on giving half of it to the pups ;) ). I don't know if we got unlucky, but the one night we spent there there was a large group of dogs that kept fighting all night long. We could hear them chasing each other around the property, and at some point they even fought on our porch, making it tremble. We barely slept because of this, and the roosters.

Amazing views over the farmlands from our cabin. At this price point, I couldn’t believe the value for money (very good 👍). Fridge and kettle, comfortable bed, simple but adequate breakfast. Would have loved to stay longer but they were booked out. Krazy Kitchen down the road is recommended for the pad thai and mama Su (who is just the right amount of “krazy”).

It’s really quite a bit out of town, a good 8 km. Close to memorial bridge and Pai Canyon, but the ride back from Pai’s night market was longer than I wanted and very dark. It was further out of town than I expected frankly. Take a sweater or jacket, it gets cold out in December at night.

Lovely views from the rooms with the baths, cows coming and feeding up close. Comfy rooms. Nice for a short break away in nature. Cute puppies!

Bath is great if you enjoy the smell of sulphur. Understand that this property is out of Pai centre, if you do not have a scooter you will struggle to get around and minimal amenities nearby.

I really enjoyed my night there. If I had time, I would have extended. The view is lovely. Yes, there isn't much privacy for the spa pool, but it's such a neat feature. The bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge to keep some drinks and snacks. And it's close by to the Canyon. You will definitely need to rent a motorbike, which they do on property.

The bathroom wasn't pretty, but it was functional

Kalm pai was a holiday in itself. The bed was so so so comfortable. After 5 weeks of broken / uncomfortable sleeps I finally felt rested! Aircon was so good; bathrooms were sufficient, and the spa bath was lovely. Our was host was lovely, and tried very hard to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. It is a rustic resort, so don’t expect anything too fancy.

While the facility was restful and quiet, this is mostly due to being remote which I can’t look passed. It costs 200b to get into the city via tax, so expect a good 400b per day added to the cost of staying here. There is limited/no food nearby and no cooking facilities so the reality is you need to go into the town each day if you want to eat. It would be good to have a deal with taxi company to bring the price down or coordinate all guests to lower the price. The listing is very clear about its location so I don’t feel surprised, it’s just worth very much taking into consideration.

What a beautiful place to stay! Surrounded by nature and feels a million miles away from Pai. I've seen people complain about how far it is from the center but I would say that's a huge plus, unless you are looking for bars and other tourists, in which case I'd say this is not the place for you. Would definitely stay here again!

The unit was clean and comfortable. The grounds are very nice. Ample parking is available. The staff were friendly and pleasant. I had no issues with any aspect of my stay. As stated below, I have low expectations for breakfast.

Breakfast was typically Thai. Prepared at the beginning of breakfast time then left to go cold. I tried it the first morning, then ate at one of the numerous breakfast places in town. Most of the places I have stayed at in Thailand do not provide a decent breakfast. The location was wrong for this trip. I was meeting up with friends in town daily, meaning my options were to drink and drive or not drink at all. I would recommend this place if you want to explore the surrounding countryside and have a quiet break. If you will be joining the night life in Pai, book somewhere in town.

Beautiful sunsets and view of the farm, big bungalows with comfy beds and private balcony, fridge, simple breakfast (fried rice, eggs, toast), lots of parking, delicious restaurant 5min walk down the road. Felt remote (need a car/motorbike).

Shower heating fluctuated, stray dogs were cute but slept on the balcony (lots of fleas).

The huts are clean and all the staff are so so lovely. In the middle of Pai countryside so a perfect escape.

I would suggest you need to hire a scooter, there’s one tiny food stand nearby and lots of stray dogs which can be intimidating. You can even rent them from the resort !
