The property was unreal, it was the staff who made it. Special shout out to Nam who worked behind the bar, she was so friendly and made the trip so special. Also Georgia the rep was cool. Nice AC rooms and bar.

It is a bit of a walk from the centre but only takes a couple of mins and doesn’t impact the overall experience. Once you’re at the Mad Monkey you won’t want to leave anyway.

The staff and reps were brilliant, very kind and accommodating. The hostel is a little out of the way from the main walking street but still in walking distance. (I loved my little walks back). There is a bar and restaurant on site, the food is great. It is quite a social hostel, I met many people here. It’s also a lot more chilled out than other mad monkeys, music is off by 11pm and it’s not noisy at all. The beds were very comfy and the rooms were cleaned multiple times a day.

The location was great and just a 10 minute walk to the main town. The property itself was very nice. The rooms were in a cute little bungalow. We loved the social aspect to this hostel and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The Rep Chai was a delight. He made our visit extremely memorable and fun. The nights out with the hostel were one of the best nights we’ve had in Thailand in which Chai also accompanied us. Chai also made the best drinks. His signature drink was a Chai Latte 10/10. Our Mad Monkey stay was amazing all thanks to Chai. There was also a cafe and pool next door which we could use and paid for at a discounted price. The hostel also offered day trips which were fun to explore Pai.

I love this Hostel! The staff goes above and beyond to put on activities that make your days packed with fun excursions. If you’re under 30 and want to socialize without planning much this is the place to stay! I’ve been backpacking solo and this is where I met the most people. They are also careful to limit noise after 10pm by taking the party elsewhere so if you need a day off that will be fine too! The staff here are all lovely, everyone was very nice to me. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were cleaned. Cleaning often makes you feel clean all the time. I will definitely come back.

Funny hostel if you want to meet people before joining any of the party activities around Pai like the Tipsy Tubing (the truck comes to the hostel to pick you up). The hostel is nice, with cabanas like houses, garden and swimming pool.

It’s located a little far away from the main streets of Pai. The rooms are packed with the beds and guests belongings left on the floor, with barely space to move or go to the toilet.

Social atmosphere and friendly staff Food was reasonably priced and tasty

Female dorm had no curtains around beds so not particularly private Bathroom drains smelled funky Although I booked a female dorm, another resident brought back a male to 'stay the night'. I appreciate this happens frequently in mad monkeys but at least use the mixed dorms for noisy heavy petting... I think more obvious signs should be put up to deter this behaviour, we chose a female dorm for a reason!

It's a better place to stay than I thought...the rooms are cleaned every day which is a really good thing...the bar is fun to play games and the staff are friendly and chatty...if you want to get drunk in... city of bars also has pub crawling activities...I came for the first time and was very impressed. Thank you to the staff: Chai, Kong, Stefan, Georgia, for always inviting me to talk...and I will definitely come back.

The pillow is a bit soft...but it's not a problem.

The dorms are in bungalows which is super cool, it’s a really social hostel which will organise as much as you will let them. Staff also lovely

It’s a bit far out of the main square (20 min walk) which was a bit of a nightmare as it’s a dark street so as a solo traveller I probably wouldn’t stay here. I ended my stay early as I didn’t want to do the walk on my own if it got dark. Bathrooms could also do with a redo as they’re a bit rank

Had so much fun at this hostel. Had events most nights making it easy to socialise as a solo traveller. Beds were comfortable and the shared bathrooms were kept clean. Shoutout to worker Chai for being the life of the party

It was over the bridge away from the main walking street, so had to either have a bike or walk an extra 10ish minutes
