The area of Phuket is very large and hard to pick a location to stay. We wanted to stay closer to where our friends live, unfortunately it was still 30 minutes away, the traffic to get around anywhere in Phuket is horrible. The hotel is great, we stayed in our own private cottage near the pool and beach. The room was divided into 2 sections where there a large bed and the lower sunken part had the bed for our child. The place had lots of storage space, and the washrooms were good. The pool is very lovely. They have two pools - one pool for the people who stay in the main hotel area and one of the people who are staying in the private cottage and its large and wonderful. The beach is a disappointing as its not the hotel's fault but the tide goes out in Phuket in the morning so depending where you stay - you wont have a swimmable beach at the hotel unless you travel to a beach during the day for swim. The water slowly comes in the late afternoon.. its fun for us to walk on it and collect shells etc. Its closer to the Pier but not walkable as the traffic is horrible so you'll need a tuk-tuk or taxi to get to the main pier. Everything else in the Phuket you must take a tuk-tuk or taxi as everything is a distance away. We had dinner one night, unfortunately there is not much variety in the dinner menu. The breakfast is good. Next time I will stay in the old Phuket town which is really pretty like Singapore old town, totally a cool place to walk around.

The water slowly comes in the late afternoon.. I wish we had known then we would've chosen a hotel where we can swim off the hotel instead of looking for a beach during the day time. Dinner is good for one night but otherwise lack of choice for two nights.

We had a great stay at Aochalong villa resort. The hotel is in beautiful grounds which are really well maintained. The hotel has two pools, both of which are great. One directly overlooks Chalong bay, is deeper, and gets lots of sunshine. The other is surrounded by beautiful trees which provide shade when it's very hot. This pool is not so deep and has a water slide for children. Breakfast is served in a restaurant overlooking the pool and Chalong bay. It is a buffet style breakfast and all the food was really fresh and regularly re-stocked by the attentive staff. As we were leaving early (before breakfast) they even made us packed breakfasts to take with us. The staff at the hotel were really friendly, polite and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend staying ay Aochalong villa resort.

Our stay was perfect.

Beautiful garden pools and villas. Very clean , the staff exceptionally helpful and good. The airconditioning broke once, they fixed it immiediately. Very good food, good chefs, attentive waiters. Even the guest were nice. There is a free shuttle to KATA beach 3 times a week.

The tide was very strong so the water disappeared from time to time, you could not use the beach then, so good that they have the beach shuttle.

The location is a bit out of the way of the Main Street of Chalong, near the pier, but it was very peaceful and relaxing. Both pools were lovely. The breakfast was great and we ate at the restaurant for dinner as well. All meals were great. Staff were beautiful and friendly. There are also plenty of places to eat, the yacht club is in walking distance and there is a great seafood restaurant close to the pier which is a bit of a long walk in the heat. Showers are hot and the rooms have all that you need.

We booked two rooms, a twin room for the teens and a double for us adults. I had asked for them to be close but they weren’t. Also they were very particular about loss or breakage and will charge for a broken glass or something. There is very little beach side here.

The pool area and restaurant were excellent. Really felt like we were at a fancy resort.

Our stay was marred by the fact that the staff double booked our Oceanside Villa and were only able to offer us a partial Oceanview Villa. The staff member lied to us about why it was not available and only after repeatedly challenging her story did the truth come out. The lying upset us more than the problem. It left a very poor taste in our mouths. Also, the supposed gym room was basically not there. Non useable and broken equipment was pushed into a corner. I could not use it.

We booked family room and it was huge,with 2 room,the room had a lovely view out to sea/harbour.breakfast was fine with usual buffet food thai and european with a chef standing by to cook fresh eggs/omlettes at request,2 good size pools with 1 pool looking out over the sea with terrace on sea front which had sun all day long,staff were polite and friendly and very helpful,room came with tea/coffee making facility,fresh water each day and all condiments for showering and taking a bath

The view out one of the side windows was of a filthy litter filled boggy stream that looked like out of deli slums so never opened those curtains,although its close to shops resturants its situated down a long lane with no lighting at night so would take a good 15mins to get on to high street but we hired motorbike taxis for about 30bht(80p)buildings do look a bit dated on the outside but totally fine,main let down was happy hour 2-1 cocktails by the pool which tasted of very weak alcohol

The ambiance of the place is really good. They have everything in the property, restaurant, massage, pool & beach! Also the lady receptionist was very helpful and friendly, we never felt like we’re bugging them with so many questions. She made sure we enjoyed all of our stay. Also the restaurant manager was so polite and funny! They assisted us while waiting for our transport back to the airport. & on top of this all they made an effort to check us in early with a little sweet surprise in our room for our anniversary! Love this place so much definitely will recommend to all our friends and we will be back! ❤️

They didn’t have sticky mango rice in the menu for dessert. ☹️

My friend and I stayed here for five nights in early May 2025, and it was honestly one of the best value-for-money stays we’ve had in Phuket. Our room was spacious and clean, the pools were well maintained, and the breakfast was tasty with good variety. The staff were also kind and helpful throughout our stay.

The only downside was the location—it’s a bit far from Phuket Town and main attractions, so getting around without a scooter or car can be a bit tricky.

Nice quiet place to stay. All staff were wonderful, so polite and friendly. Close to all the tourist attractions we wanted to see. Great buffet breakfast included in the price. Happy hour every day from 4-6 was a bonus. Massage there was bliss and a great price. Awesome sea view from the cafe. Evening meals were very nice and again a reasonable price.

Unfortunately the bed was a bit hard for us, we woke up very sore in the mornings.

The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate any wishes. The food in their little restaurant/cafe was great and reasonably priced. The pool areas and all in all the whole resort is very cozy. It shows some signs of aging but is very well maintained. It's also a great place if you want to go diving or island hopping with lot's of diving schools close-by as well as Chalong Pier (around 1.5km away)

Nothing the resort is at fault for but some guests were incredibly rude and loud, partying in their rooms late at night. They definitely chose the wrong location for that. Also not really a downside if you like to relax, but there is not that much to do in the area. So best to rent a scooter or use bolt or grab if you want to go somewhere. :-)
