breakfast was good , lots of options, Thai, Western. Our room was a fabulous size ( very big) facing the main beach street, and we could smoke on the balcony. pool area is pleasant and patong beach is just over the road with plenty of sun lounges or chairs and umbrellas to rent around 100Bhat per chair, lots of action to watch on the beach and although you get lots of sellers coming by a simple pleasant "No thanks " and they left you alone.

although our room was large and comfortable on 2nd floor, the balcony view was obstructed by the roof of the cafe below and we had the smell of breakfast coming for there all day.

The location, across the road from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Very clean, large comfortable room with balcony overlooking the pool. Staff lovely and friendly. The boys running the pool bar were fantastic, they worked so hard getting everyone their drinks and food and did it with smiles on their faces everyday 😊

Other visitors placing their towels on the sun beds at breakfast and not using for hours and hours. Other visitors being very inconsiderate, loud and disrespectful around pool area 🤨

Rooms don't have clothes iron. Every room needs its own iron and ironing board. It is very uncomfortable for hotel guests to come down to the lobby each time they want to iron clothes. Each room must have an iron as it's very important for hotel guests. I don't have the time to come down to the lobby each time i want to iron my shirt. It is very time wasting.

The location was so central to everything, perfect for a family. The beach located across the road, hundreds of nearby restaurants easily accessible by walking or tuktuk. The restaurant linked to the hotel also had fantastic food and nightly live entertainment suitable for all ages.

Initially trying to book for a family of five (5) was difficult as booking.com was recommending two rooms which was incorrect. A Deluxe Family Suite is an interconnected room with a double bed, two single beds and a pull out sofa. The hotel also offered an additional single bed to be placed in the room for a small fee. This substantially reduced the booking cost by 50%.

Amazing breakfast and a fantastic location.

We received a complimentary room upgrade but it was above the karaoke stand which was part of the hotel. Music was very loud and don’t stop until midnight 😬

Great stay at Baan Laimai, Patong. The location is perfect being directly opposite beach and short walk to Bangla Rd. We had a standard room which was a very good size with our 4 year old sharing the bed which was no problem as very large bed. Lovely pool area with kids pool, breakfast provided plenty of options for different tastes and evening restaurant area provided great meals and top live entertainment. Wifi a little intermittent in the room but plenty of areas you could get coverage. Small note that the Kids Club is actually a playroom which is has enough for a little one to enjoy. All staff were amazing with a big shout out to Jack, Joe and New in the pool area, kind and caring with our child and such nice people. The restaurant staff in the evenings made every night memorable including Chit and Ali. The band were brilliant absolutely great entertainment. Will definitely come back again.

Everything was good had a great holiday

The pool, and the location was good. The size of the room was great.

The fridge needed to be replaced twice before a decent was in and had to pay 100 baht for ice whilst the fridge was not working. Key card needed to be reprogrammed twice whilst there. Even though we had booked months in advance, we requested for our room to be next to our other group members but they couldn't do it all 4 rooms together, ar least they were able to put 2 x 2 rooms together.

This hotel, the staff, the location, made us fall in love with thailand. Our first visit and we plan to stay here again. To share some information that I was looking for before the trip but couldnt find, to help anyone: Every room has a shattaf/butt gun hose/bidet. Decent pressure. breakfast buffet is very good, I dont understand the negative reviews. Its smaller than, say, luxury resorts, but has a good variety and halal options. There is always a counter filled with salad options, always 3 different kinds of eggs, always beef, chicken, noodles, veg, pastries, coffee, cold water, etc. Staff is amazing and helpful. Everyone not just in the hotel, but around speaks english. there isnt exactly a beach view from the rooms, but all you have to do is walk a few steps and patong beach is right in front of you with a world of options. Jet ski, food, drinks, beach side massage. 7/11, smoke shops, markets, subway sandwiches, arabic restaurants pharmacies, starbucks, thai food, coconuts, clothes, snacks, foot massage places, literally everything, is steps away. Truly anything you will need is steps away. bangla road is a 5 minute walk. If you have mobility issues, there are 2 bridges that go over the pool that are hard to step across. But if you enter the front of the hotel near the spa, and stay to the left, you will find a secret elevator that will take you to your room without having to use the bridges. Also, the hotel has a side enterance that takes you right to the lobby. But the steps are a bit steep. Easier than the 2 bridges for me. Great AC. Nice pool view. every room has a kettle and a mini fridge. The mini fridge is cool but not COLD. If youre like me and need ice cold drinks, walk the few steps to the little 7 /11 or the mini mart next to subway and fill up a few giant cups with their ice machine. NUGGET PELLET ICE. tour package stands everywhere.

The rooms with direct pool access on the bottom floor sounds tempting and are pricier, but theyre honestly nothing special. You have absolutely no privacy in those rooms. Everyone swimming and walking by can look right into them unless your curtians are shut. I was on the 4th floor but spoke to people on the bottom pool side floor who complained about this. And yes swimming in the pool I could see inside every room with pool access. Do not keep ANYTHING provided from the room. There are bags and slippers and such to use but MUST be left in room when you check out. Also the room key cards must be returned or you will be charged.

We stayed at the Baan Laimai last month. We really had a great experience. Starting with the staff that were really kind and welcoming and friendly. The location is superb! Close to anything (seven eleven, change, restaurants, the bangla road.. etc). The rooms were big enough and clean, book a room with pool view! The breakfast was good! It was literally a home away from home! We enjoyed back to hotel every night!

It may seem like a small detail, but having a designated space to freshen up my clothes was incredibly convenient and thoughtful. Overall, my experience at Baan Laimai was nothing short of remarkable. Delicious food, breathtaking surroundings, friendly staff, and thoughtful amenities make it a standout choice for anyone looking for a memorable stay. I can't wait to return!

One downside of my stay at Baan laimai was the presence of a notable number of flies. While the hotel offered many positives, including great food and a friendly staff, the issue with flies was noticeable and detracted from the overall experience. It's something to be aware of for future guests.
